《MY Life In The Multiverse》Chapter 146: Leveling Up the link

As the familiar system panel opened in front of Yuki, the first thing he checked was the number of skill points he had.
'I have 12 points huh? and my dimensional link is only level 2…' Yuki hesitated slightly at the thought of putting 3 of his hard-earned points into his dimensional link skill, but in the end, he recalled how great this skill was in the help of his growth so in the end, he concluded that it was worth it to invest in it
'Discovering other worlds might not be the only new functions available…' Thought Yuki as he started leveling up dimensional link and he suddenly felt his mind expanding to unimaginable degrees 'what's going on' wondered Yuki in surprise as many notifications rang beside his ears.
[Congratulations host, your dimensional link skill has reached level 3, you can establish another link with a person with a strong fate and all the previously established links has grown stronger!]
[Congratulations host, your dimensional link skill has reached level 4. You gained the ability [Basic space affinity] and one more slot to establish a connection with a fated person. Furthermore, all previous links have been greatly enhanced]
[Congratulations host, your dimensional link skill has reached level 5, you gained one more slot to establish a connection with a fated person, and the subskill [World connect]. Your previous dimensional link has been strengthened to the point that host can now summon the connected people to his location at any time at the cost of mana]
'Amazin, it seems like not all skills granted by the system are on the same level… Dimensional link in particular appears to be of an extremely high level for it to grant all of these benefits just from leveling it up… Although it also shows just what kind of harsh conditions are required to level it up naturally…'
As Yuki was marveling at the many notifications, he couldn't hold his curiosity back from checking the details of the additional rewards!
[World connect: Host can establish connections with worlds that have a strong fate and travel to them at any time… currently available slots 0/1]
[Basic space affinity: Greatly increases the range of the perception of the host along with the performance of all space-related abilities. Current increase: 200%]
[Dimensional link (5/10): The user can establish a connection with a person or an object that has a strong fate that allows the user to travel to their location or communicate with them as well as summon them to his location. Current established connections 2. Available connections slots 3. It also allows the user to use the subskill World connect]
"Amazing, with basic space affinity, the effect of my quick step will be enhanced, and any future space-related abilities will be enhanced as well… Plus, I can evolve it with my path of evolution in the future!"

As Yuki thought about this, he immediately checked the requirement to evolve this ability and he was slightly shocked by what he was required to gather… 'Dark matter huh? it seems like fate really wants me to oppose that hentai octopus breeding lab' thought Yuki with a weird look in his eyes…
The requirements of the path of evolution change depending on the world he's currently in, so he was planning to take advantage of the chain mission related to Ryushi and kill two birds with one stone to evolve this ability in the future.
"Now then, I wonder how it feels to establish a connection with a world…" Yuki's green eyes shined with a transcendental light as he decided to activate the new function of dimensional link that had been on hold all this time
[Would you like to establish a connection with the discovered world: Yes/No]
Yuki clicked yes without hesitation, and in the next moment, his vision changed once more and he found himself having a bird's eye view and observing all kinds of islands and an extremely vast sea.
But then, his vision shifted downward and he begin to dive deep into the sea and then into the earth below it until he eventually reached the core of this world where he felt a faint presence, that presence sometimes felt wild, sometimes peaceful, sometimes vast, sometimes minuscule.
Yuki simply couldn't comprehend what he was witnessing, but his dimensional link ability didn't give him too much time to comprehend anything as he started feeling a link build between him and that faint presence similar to the one he has with Maou and Rimuru.
"What's this thing?" Muttered Yuki, although no words left his mouth…
….
Meanwhile, as this process was taking place, on the huge red continent that split the earth of this world in two called the Red line, no life existed except in one place. It was in the middle of this place right above where the passage to the New world existed.
There stood a majestic palace surrounded by many luxurious mansions, this place was the holy land Mary Geoise, the capital of the world government that ruled this world and the place where the rulers of this world, the celestial dragons reside!
In the huge palace, there was a giant throne that was supposed to be empty, yet at this moment, the five elders that were renowned as the highest authority of this world were suddenly summoned there and were faced with the true ruler sitting on the supposed empty throne.
Her red eyes shined eerily as she sensed the faint changes occurring in the world and that silence was only broken when one of the kneeling elders, a bald old man carrying a simple-looking sword while wearing an open kimono that showcased his terrifying physique spoke calmly

"Im-sama, what did you summon us so urgently here for?"
Im remained silent for a few seconds before she replied "The great era we've been expecting is finally here, keep an eye on the new notable figures of this generation"
The five old men had different reactions, but they eventually all narrowed their eyes and spoke with determination "So it's finally time huh…"
….
Yuki didn't realize that his simple action of connecting to this world would be detected by such a terrifying figure showing just what kind of power was ruling this world in the dark, but even if he knew so what? He can just run away to his world and they won't be able to do anything to him…
After some time, the link was finally established and Yuki suddenly found himself back in his room with a new notification appearing in front of him
[Congratulations host for establishing a connection with the world of one piece, you can now travel to that world at any time, although the starting location will be the island of Loguetown, the place of beginning, and the end!]
"This feels weird, how come that world has a consciousness…" Yuki felt perplexed by this, and even more perplexed what that faint spirit that was wondering 'What the hell just happened? This isn't normal, I need to be careful'
As it thought like this, a voice only heard by a few beings suddenly echoed like a prophecy telling them about the emergence of an outside threat that could change the course of destiny and fate itself!
….
The world of one piece has a unique geography, it has four seas ranked from strongest to weakest as such North Blue South Blue West Blue East Blue.
These four sees were split is four, by the red line and calm belt… The calm belt was a part of the ocean that didn't have any wind and was infested by sea beasts so traveling through it is the same as having a death wish.
However, these four seas weren't the strongest and most dangerous in the world, in fact, these four could be considered as the most peaceful as there existed another sea called the grand line.
The Grandline was situated between the two calm belts that separated the world and it had two sections, paradise, a place that had terrifying natural phenomena that made it extremely hard to sail through, but it's where the marine headquarters was located and where most of their forces are spent to try to keep the situation under control.
But the other half of this Grandline was called the New World, this place was ruled by the four emperors of the seas, terrifying pirates whose strength and influence earned them both the fear and the respect of the whole world!
As Yuki recollected the information he understood regarding this world, he couldn't help but smile and wonder "I will start in Loguetown huh? Will I get to meet that rubbery boy?"
Meanwhile, a certain rubbery boy had just made a reputation for himself by defeating the two most terrifying pirates in east blue, one of them a terrifying Fishman! and earned himself a bounty of 30 million Berries.
"Our next destination is Loguetown, we should quickly restock there so that we can start our journey to the Grandline as soon as possible" Spoke an orange-haired girl with short cut hair and brown eyes… She was the navigator of this ship, Nami.
"Hahahaha, I can't wait to see the town that the pirate king was born in" Spoke a guy wearing a straw hat and sitting on the bow of the ship that was carved into a sheep.
"LUFFY, Don't cause trouble when we get there!" Yelled Nami but Luffy simply kept laughing without a care in the world which brought a helpless look to Nami's face prompting a long-nosed guy with curly hair to pat her on the shoulder and say "Don't worry Nami, if anything happens, you can rely on me!"
Seeing the confident look on this guy's face, Nami was slightly moved and she couldn't help but mutter "Usopp…"
"Don't worry, I will make sure we run away as fast as the wind even if we have to leave them behind"
Nami's eyes instantly turned into that of a monster as she punched him away and yelled "I bet you would leave me behind as well you bastard, and don't kid yourself, you can't run faster than the wind!"
"Well well, don't worry Nami-chan, I will make sure to protect you no matter what" Said a blonde guy while staring at Nami with a weird look in his eyes earning him a punch as well "Stop being creepy, Sanji"
'Tch, these guys are truly unreliable, from the captain, to that stupid Zoro who only knows how to sleep…' Thought Nami as she observed this chaotic crew, yet she couldn't help but remember how these same 4 stood up for her and freed her from her past and her heart suddenly felt warm…
'I will make sure to keep you safe in that unknown sea! That's my job as your navigator!' She vowed in her heart, and with this thought, they made their way to Loguetown, the town of beginning, and the end…

A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes
