In this world full of magical things, there were many things that determined a human's level of power. Those included the level of their body as well as whatever skills they have from a normal one, all the way to an ultimate skill, although most people only have unique skills at best and they are generally otherworlders.

The body however can go through many evolutions which increase its spirituality, these transformations are: enlightened, which makes a person reach the minimum power of a disaster level. Then come saints, and these are equivalent in power to true demon lords.

However, above all of these, there was another level, the Hero level… These beings are equivalent in power to catastrophe-level entities such as true dragons, but they are just as rare if not rarer since their awakening requires many things including having a hero seed that can only be gained from the blessing granted by an elemental of light.

In this battlefield, there are many saints fighting, and this included Granbell Rosso, although he sought even more power than he already has, and to achieve that, he sent the great guardian of the western nation Razul, as well as a puppet of his named Maria to attack Luminous for a special purpose.

However as that was going on, he didn't expect his granddaughter to recklessly attack the man that even a true dragon couldn't kill and he tried to stop her but it was too late as Yuki was hit by her unique skill: greed and froze for an instant…

Usually, people at this point would be overwhelmed by Mariabell's intense greed and they fall under her control, but Yuki was completely different as Granbell noticed a sick smirk appearing on his face.

'This is bad, I need to stop him' Thought Granbell before he instantly disappeared and planned to attack Yuki with multiple melt slashes. However, by the time he arrived in front of Yuki, the latter simply disappeared from his sight and reappeared right in front of his now defenseless granddaughter with an intense look of greed in his eyes that almost made him seem possessed!

Then, a head flew threw the air causing Granbell's eyes to widen in shock while Yuki simply heard the soothing sound of the voice of the world speaking in his head along with a notification appearing that said [Congratulations host, you gained the ability Greed!]

"NOOOOO…." Yelled Granbell as he rushed to his granddaughter's side, but it was already too late…

Meanwhile, in the holy empire Ruberious, the battle between Luminous and the two intruders was soon discovered and before long, both the pope Louis as well as the cardinal Nikolas who was arguably one of the strongest subordinates under Luminous both rushed to help her despite her not really losing and was simply trying to understand the reason for her attacker's behavior.

Both Razul and Maria began sustaining severe injuries, and eventually, Maria sacrificed herself and created an opportunity for Razul to escape, although she was merely a lifeless body after that and he was heavily injured…

Yuki almost didn't hear him as he was excited by the new skill he just gained while Rimuru was completely focused on his fight against Yuuki…

This time, Rimuru was the one under the assault of Yuuki's weird anti-skill ability, however it wasn't that effective against him as he mainly relied on his ultimate skills to fight so Yuuki was pushed into a corner by him, and eventually, he decided to go all out and actually transformed into a saint and started a terrifying battle against Rimuru… But despite all of this, he was still losing… This is just to show how broken Rimuru was…

However, the others weren't doing as well as him, Ramiris struggled against Kagali since she wasn't at the peak of her strength and she was barely defending herself against all the curses Kagali sent her way. Footman was also not easy to deal with and Dariun was barely keeping up with him, and Ragna's situation against Tear was looking even grimmer and he was barely holding on thanks to Yurei's and Shizue's help.

Meanwhile, Hinata found herself in a tie with Damrada and she couldn't gain the upper hand against him. But at least Diablo and Kayle were winning their fights against Vega and Laplace respectively…

On the other battlefields, the Kijin and the other monsters made short work of the ten great saints, but some of the seven clerics slipped from Yuki's grip as he was distracted by Granbell and his granddaughter and they ended up clashing with the rest of the forces which slowly tipped the sides of the battle towards the invasion army's side…

Casualties started to appear on the soldiers from both sides since all kinds of magic flew from the ranks of both armies as well as projectiles and skills… but in the end, the thing that caused the most casualties was none other than the aftermath and shockwaves created by the two giant true dragons fighting in the sky…

'What a great skill to have!' Thought Yuki as many attacks landed on his completely nude body since his clothes already disintegrated thanks to Velgrynd's terrifying breath attack, but he didn't care and simply checked the description of the new skill he just gained…

Then, Yuki casually took out a set of clothing from his space ring and started wearing them while saying "Anyways, this fight is pointless, you should surrender, you can't beat me even if you try as hard as you could"

Granbell stood up coldly "you are right, it's hard to win in my current state, but that will soon change"

Yuki's eyes narrowed at this and he tried to rush at Granbell once more, but a beam of light fell from the sky right on top of his head and buried him deep underground…

"That bitch is a problem" Muttered Yuki as he started climbing out of the hole, but he soon came to realize that he was at least a few tens of km underground…

'Thank god I have natural breathing, and I can survive long enough even in these current conditions' he thought as he started rushing to climb out…

Meanwhile, in the outside world, Velgrynd started to get annoyed by how durable Yuki was and decided to turn her attention to Rimuru and the rest since Veldora was already in no state to fight anymore… That's when they knew… they fucked up.

Before Veldora could rush to stop Velgrynd again, she moved at a rapid speed and appeared in front of Diablo…

'I can't escape, she's too fast… and attacking her is pointless as well since not even Veldora can harm her...' He thought… Diablo has the unique skill Great Wiseman, this skill allowed him to accelerate his thoughts to a terrifying degree as well as allowed him to manipulate laws and remove the need for chanting to cast spells…

And seeing that Velgrynd was rushing at him confidently, an idea popped in his head and he couldn't help but smirk slightly and waited for the last instant to open a portal… a portal that directly led to the ice continent, or to be more specific, a portal that directly opened on top of Guy's castle, and Velgrynd ended up coming out of there and almost razed that whole area into the ground which made a certain demon king enraged… and Velgrynd was soon going to experience his wrath!

Meanwhile, on the western battlefield, Granbell watched coldly as the soldiers he gathered fought against each other because of Yuki's mind control, but he soon shifted his focus to something else… It was a portal that opened right in front of him, and from it came a mortally injured Razul and the dead Maria…

"You did well, Razul" Spoke Granbell with a melancholic look on his face, this was his friend for ages, as for Maria, she was puppet he created using the body of his wife and he integrated many skills he gathered from otherworlders into her…

Razul nodded at the man who named him ages ago before he fell prey to his injuries, but not before transferring all the energy left in his body and soul to Granbell and the latter soon heard the voice of the world echoing in his ears

Feeling the power of the ultimate skill filling him, Granbell didn't wait any longer and waved his hand over Maria's body and it transformed into light and he absorbed it directly.

The reason he sent her to fight Luminous was for no reason other than wanting to absorb some energy of Luminous's unique skill: Lust. It allowed his old body to regain back its long-lost youth! This was the birth of a true monster… A monster that was once called a hero by the western nations…
