Things were slowly getting back to normal in Tempest, and after this huge event, Yuki ended up receiving a few notifications from the system…

[Congratulations host, the progress of your chain quest's second task has now become 6/10 for the human part]

[Congratulations host, your notoriety has spread across the world and you have achieved worldwide fame. The third task was completed with spectacular speed so additional rewards shall be added]

[Accept rewards Yes/ No]

Staring at these notifications, Yuki pondered slightly and thought 'It seems like, Mjurran, Hinata, Gazel, and Kayle were all accepted as friends huh… that's good, 4 more lucky people to find and make them my friend, and I will get rid of this annoying quest'

Oozing of Ego, Yuki turned his attention to the rewards and immediately pressed yes.

[You have gained the skill Vampire's gaze. You have gained 3 skill points as additional rewards]

Yuki clicked at the description of this skill curiously and he wasn't sure how to feel about it

[Vampire's gaze (1/10): Grants the user the ability to charm anyone who stares deeply into their eyes. Duration 0 - 10 seconds (Depending on the target's resistance)]

'Is this system trying to turn me into a pimp or what' thought Yuki before he shook his head and decided to save the three skill points for an emergency…

Inside of his house, Sacha was covering Yuki's eyes with an excited look on her face as he kept asking "What's going on Sacha?"

"Wait a bit more, It's a surprise!" She said firmly while covering his eyes even harder with her hands and it almost felt like she was about to gouge them with her fingers…

"Fine I'm waiting, but keep holding me that tightly and I wouldn't be able to see the surprise even if you remove your hands…" said Bakorio, and Sacha finally realized how tight she was covering his eyes and relaxed her grip with an embarrassed look on her face…

'This girl is dangerous…' thought Yuki before he heard someone entering the room and Sacha almost jumped and said "Here you go!"

In front of Yuki was none other than Hinata wearing a butler outfit… In the end, she didn't want to dress as a maid and dressed like Kayle instead and Yuki ended up having a few veins appearing on his forehead as he asked Sacha with a warm smile "I was waiting to see her in a cute maid outfit, but you almost blinded me just to see a younger version of Kayle?"

Hinata's calm expression instantly twisted before she sent Yuki flying with a punch in anger while Kayle couldn't help but mutter to himself "What's wrong with looking like me?" Before he slicked back his white hair and Shizue couldn't help but chuckle to herself 'This house has too many narcissists…'

While Yuki was enjoying his time at home, many things were happening in the dark and one of them was planned by none other than Clayman…

"Laplace, is everything ready?" He asked and Laplace smirked at him and said "Indeed, that guy Phobio was easy to capture… Hopefully, Yuki would directly annihilate Charybdis along with him"

"Don't worry, I'm sure he will attack without thinking, he's clearly quite reckless from what I've observed so far" Spoke Clayman and Laplace nodded in agreement although he still had some doubts…

Their goal was simple, create a grudge between Yuki and demon lord Carrion, and to achieve that they kidnapped one of Carrion's strongest followers Phobio and they made Charybdis possess his body.

Charybdis was a terrifying monster created by some of Veldora's leaking magic during one of his rampages, and Clayman was hoping that Yuki will realize this danger and kill Charybdis directly along with Phobio which will earn him the hate of demon lord Carrion which could be useful to his plans in the future…

As expected, not too long after a giant One-eyed whale-like monster appeared in the sky above the great Jura forest surrounded by many shark-like monsters…

This monster was Charybdis, and it appeared as if a mountain was flying over them… Some of the dryads tried to stop it but they failed so they rushed to tempest to ask for their assistance and Yuki simply turned to Rimuru and said "Just eat it, and leave the guy inside of it alive" Then, he went back to enjoy his nap…

Rimuru smiled awkwardly while staring at Yuki's back and he couldn't help but think 'Why do I feel like a trash can where he throws everything unnecessary to me?'

Finding this thought too depressing, Rimuru turned his attention to Charybdis and directly flew toward it…

"Is he going to be okay on his own?" Asked Mjurran who was worried since she could feel a terrifying aura coming out of Charybdis equivalent to that of a demon lord… However, her eyes suddenly widened in shock as Rimuru raised his hand and calmly said "Beelzebub, Devour!"

Right after, a huge black substance came out of his hand and spread to engulf the giant Charybdis along with its attacks and the other shark-like monsters before everything disappeared and the sky became clear once more…

"This is the power of our master!" spoke Benimaru with a nod feeling like Rimuru's current strength was truly worthy of their decision to follow him.

After Rimuru got down from the sky, he removed the unconscious Phobio from his body and said "Investigate what's going on after this guy wakes up…"

Diablo who was named by Rimuru instantly responded "Yes!" but Rimuru's face suddenly paled as he remembered what happened to Razen after he enjoyed Diablo's and Kayle's attention so he immediately turned to Souei and said "Take care of this for me, Souei"

"Sure" Responded Souei calmly without saying anything else and Diablo simply smiled to himself without saying anything 'It seems like I need to earn my lord's trust' he thought, without considering at all that his sadistic personality creeped the living hell out of this slime as he made Razen lose his sanity from all the tortures he put him through…

…

After returning to his house, Yuki smirked slightly as he thought 'It seems like Clayman can't sit still… what an idiot, he can't wait to get himself killed'

Sometime later. Shizue was about to call Yuki for lunch but she noticed the creepy smile on his face while he sat in his room and immediately ran away…

Yuki of course noticed this, but he was distracted by something that suddenly appeared in front of him

[Fifth task of the chain quest has been unlocked]

[Fifth task: Be acknowledged as a demon lord as well as a Hero in this world. Reward: Ring of twilight]

"Hmmm? Finally, I unlocked this fifth task… I didn't expect it to be this hard though. Am I supposed to just make people believe that I am a demon lord and a hero or should I truly become one?" Yuki wasn't sure about this but the system clarified his doubt

[Both solutions are acceptable, although you will receive additional rewards for the second one]

'Can humans even become demon lords? Even Leon is just a demon lord in name only and not really one in nature…' While thinking about this, an idea suddenly lit up in Yuki's head

'Maybe I could achieve this… through spirits!' with this thought in mind, Yuki decided to hasten his plans to return to the dwelling of spirits, but first, he had to bring the kids from the free academy…

"KAYLEEEE!" He yelled at the top of his voice almost giving poor old Kayle a heart attack as he dropped his spoon and thought 'That brat's definitely trying to kill me' before he quickly buried this feeling deep in his heart since it was absurd.

However, Yuki's next words proved otherwise as he said "I have a mission for you, bring Shizue's students here from the free academy"

'Now I'm sure he wants to kill me… Even he barely escaped alive from there, and he wants me to go on my own?'

"Y-Yuki-sama, that's beyond my capabilities…" Said Kayle calmly but Yuki simply stared at him with a disappointed look on his face and said "Ehhh, so Diablo is truly the better butler huh… what a pity"

A spark was suddenly lit on Kayle's ass as he said "I'm sorry Yuki-sama but that filthy demon is in no way better than me"

Yuki simply shrugged at him and said "But Diablo would have taken this task without any complaints"

Kayle's mouth twitched and he couldn't help but want to smack Yuki who was hiding his smirk as hard as he could 'This bastard, provoking me with such a childish attempt…does he really believe it will work? Hmph'

Kayle's mind was full of confidence, but he the moment he heard Yuki about to yell Diablo's name, he instantly shut him up with a silence spell and said " I will go get the kids" before he quickly disappeared

Yuki burst out laughing at this and he ended up muttering "Tricking old people always feels nice… Oh hi there Sacha, nice day right"

Sacha stared at him weirdly before she ran away while thinking 'I should have listened to Shizue-san, Yuki-sama is beyond saving…'

….

At the free guild, their building was wrecked in so many places so it was undergoing repairs and Yuuki was there to supervise it. Thankfully the free academy wasn't harmed at all by this destruction which made it less protected.

However suddenly, Dark clouds covered the capital of Ingrassia which attracted the attention of the powerhouse living there since this was an unusual phenomenon that can only happen with great magic… Dark Magic!

Meanwhile, as everyone was distracted, Kayle sneaked into the free academy and searched for the students Yuki told him about, but he was suddenly attacked by a fat masked clown like figure…

"It seems like someone truly tried to kidnap the kids" Spoke Footman who was tasked with capturing or stalling for time if anyone tries to kidnap Shizue's students and someone actually took the bait

Kayle calmy observed Footman 'This guy is strong, at least demon lord level of power and maybe more… Thankfully, I'm not here to fight'

Suddenly, Kayle smirked at Footman before he created a dark smoke screen that covered the whole free academy building and isolated even the effect of Magic sense which took Footman by surprise, and before he could remove the smoke, Kayle had already by this point located the kids and teleported them away with him back to tempest…

"Not bad Kayle, that was quick" Said Yuki while staring at the kids that were crying while hugging Shizue with tears streaming from their eyes

Kayle narrowed his eyes and responded "I barely made it, I felt someone trying to jam space right after I teleported and I almost got trapped… Those people are strong"

'It seems like Yuuki is already preparing countermeasures for me after I summoned Shizue away from his capture' thought Yuki...

"Indeed they are… I'm sure they have many valuables for me to harvest" Spoke Yuki with a smile, although Kayle could sense the terrifying greed oozing from every pore of his body…

'As long as it's not directed at me, I will be fine… right?' Thought Kayle while gulping slightly…
