It took a few days for Yuki and his friends to reach their destination while riding the carriage… "Finally, we reached the great Jura forest!" said Yuki with a smile as the clean air of the forest hit him squarely in the face with a rejuvenating punch…

"Yuki-sama, where should we go now?" asked Kayle while observing their surroundings so that they don't get ambushed by monsters. After all, the forest was in a very turbulent state after Veldora's disappearance, and many monsters were moving erratically resulting in an increase on the defenses of the nations bordering the forest.

One such a case was the Blumund kingdom which was the entrance to the western council and a country under great distress, which is why they convinced the guild master of the free guild in their country to send a team to investigate the disappearance of Veldora, and Yuki took camp right on the path that they would pass through since they worked as his timer for when Rimuru would leave the cave…

"Let's spend some time here and enjoy the beautiful scenery this place has to offer" said Yuki with a smile and Sacha nodded happily and went to prepare some food while Kayle kept observing Yuki silently…

Meanwhile, While Yuki was enjoying his journey without any care in the world, he knew that his reputation was quickly increasing throughout the world, and it was perfectly indicated by the quickly increasing progress bar for his task that already reached 56%...

His path to get this fame and reputation created many enemies for him, as well as friends… One such a case was the Doran kingdom whose convoy has just returned with disappointed looks on their faces after realizing that their clarity stone was stolen but they couldn't find it no matter how much they tried to search for it which made their king Doran flip out in anger and almost executed all of them!

"You useless pricks, how could you lose such a precious item without even realizing it!" yelled king Doran while smashing the table in front of him to pieces…

The minister that was tasked with buying the stone quickly kneeled down and said "I'm sorry your majesty, despite our best efforts, we couldn't find any traces of who did this… However, some of our men returned back to Sarion to further investigate and they found that a similar situation happened in the auction house and many items were stolen which made the royal families mobilize all their forces in an effort to find the perpetrator…"

King Doran regained his calm slightly after hearing that he wasn't the only victim and asked "You said that a man with the name of Yuki that works for demon lord Leon Cromwell caused a lot of chaos and the auction was robbed during that time right?"

The minister nodded with sweat falling from his cheeks and said "Yes your majesty, we are sure that the robbery happened just at the same time, and just like in our case, no traces were found of the perpetrator"

Doran's eyes narrowed with a dangerous light as he ordered "I want this man Yuki investigated as soon as possible, and if you can… KILL HIM!"

Doran wasn't the only one who felt like this since many people were humiliated by Yuki when they tried to interfere in his fight with Elmesia, and they were the same people that sent some of their people to assassinate him making the grudge between them grow bigger and bigger… However, just as they held a grudge against him. He too was holding his own grudge against them, and he will make sure they will pay for it with extra interest…

Back at the forest. Yuki felt like he was lucky because not long before they set up their camp, a group of three adventurers entered the forest and approached them, they were made of one girl and two men.

'It's unbelievable to think that this girl is Elmesia's cousin' thought Yuki as he observed the trio that approached them confidently without being on guard showing just how inexperienced they were 'or maybe too trusting...' thought Yuki

"Oh, there's actually people here, maybe they know about what's happening in the forest and Veldora's disappearance" said the girl whose name was Eren, the daughter of the archduke Erald Grimwald who wants nothing more than to stab Yuki with a few earth spikes!

Her party leader Kaval nodded at her and tried to approach Yuki but he was stopped by Kayle who asked "How can we help you, gentlemen?"

Kaval replied without hiding anything "We are adventurers from the Blumund kingdom branch and we were sent here by the guild master Fuze…"

Kayle couldn't help but think while listening to Kaval's story 'Is this guy an idiot? To actually trust us so easily when we have a devil among us?'

After Kaval finished talking, Yuki gestured for Kayle to stop blocking their paths and said "I'm sorry my friend, We are as clueless as you are since we have just arrived here and we don't know much about the situation inside the forest"

"Are you a noble from one of the kingdoms?" Asked Eren curiously while staring at Yuki's handsome face and aristocratic attire.

"Nobility is in the heart young lady" said Yuki with a wise look in his eyes, and his companions couldn't help but roll their eyes at him when they noticed how impressed Eren seemed by his words…

"It's unfortunate that you don't know what happened, but you shouldn't be staying here for long, the monsters are becoming more and more active" said the third party member Gido.

"Thanks for the warning" Yuki nodded at him and was about to send them on their way but the kindhearted Sacha saw how tired they seemed and decided to ask "Would you like to join us for lunch?"

Yuki and Kayle immediately glared at her for two completely different reasons… The latter was dissatisfied by her inviting someone without Yuki's permission while the former was angry because now he won't have enough to eat…

"Ehh, really? Can we?" said Eren excitedly and Yuki ended up nodding reluctantly and enjoyed a meal with them before they went to complete their mission.

"Sacha-chan, never ever invite people like that again" said Yuki seriously and Sacha's face instantly lost all color as she said "I-I'm sorry, was it wrong?"

"Of course it's" said Kayle and Yuki followed up by saying "What if they try to eat all the food? Won't we be hungry then?"

'No, that's not it…' thought Kayle, but he decided not to speak while seeing how Sacha was seriously listening to Yuki and decided to talk to her privately before her mind ends being corroded by this devil's words…

Not long after Kaval's party left, Yuki and his group started following after them while keeping their distance so they don't get discovered and after a few hours of marching, they finally approached the cave where Veldora was sealed and Yuki noticed a strong aura in the area

'My prey is here' thought Yuki with a warm smile as he walked to that aura along with the clueless Kayle and Sacha and they found a weird scene, a slime was talking to a bunch of goblins and they seemed fearful of him for some reason…

"Oh what do we have here?" asked Yuki while coming out of the bushes startling the goblins and the slime…

"A-a human, be careful everyone" said one of the goblins to the rest as they picked up their weapons hurriedly to defend themselves...

As the lowliest of creatures, they were often captured by humans and used as training tools for the weakest people so they were always fearful of humans more than any other beasts…

"Oh, don't be scared my friends" said Yuki before he heard a sound coming from a young goblin with purple hair and it was directed at Rimuru "Slime-sama, please protect us"

Meanwhile, Rimuru observed the handsome Yuki and his companions and his eyes were glued slightly at the beautiful Sacha before he thought 'This guy looks so cool… and the girl too…' before he said "Umm, he doesn't look evil"

"WAAA a slime that can talk" said Sacha in amazement and Kayle too was slightly surprised by this. Meanwhile, Yuki simply smiled and approached the slime before he squatted down "Ohh, you can actually speak, this is quite interesting" then Yuki pretended to be looking around before he said "Let's go somewhere else to talk, monsters might come here if we stay for too long"

"T-That's right…" Said the purple-haired goblin agreeing with what Yuki said before Rimuru said "Mmm, I guess we can go to the goblin's village, I'm really curious about this world"

"And I'm curious about you" replied Yuki with a warm smile…

'poor slime' thought Kayle as they started walking toward the goblin's village while Yuki discussed a little with Rimuru and told him about the world and the chaos that Veldora's disappearance had caused…

After some time, they reached the goblin village, and Yuki couldn't help but sigh in amazement ' A huge country is going to be born from this pile of dump, it's truly hard to imagine…'

Then, he turned his attention to the goblins that were staring at them warily because of the aura Rimuru was leaking and he wasn't surprised when he was approached by an elder goblin who started telling him about their predicament and asked him to save them…

"What do you think Yuki-san" asked Rimuru all of a sudden wanting to see what Yuki thought about goblins as a resident of this world

"I don't really care if you save them or not, I'm actually an otherworlder and it wasn't long since I got summoned to this world so I'm still learning about it, although I suggest they pay for our services… Life is tough after all and working for nothing isn't the way to go" said Yuki as he thought 'First, let's build rapport with this dumb slime'

"Waa, you are from another world?" said Rimuru excitedly not knowing that he was slowly being led into a hideous trap by Yuki who smiled at him and said "Yup, I'm from a place called Japan"

'Waaa, he's actually Japanese as well!!! We need to talk privately later' thought Rimuru delighted to find a fellow countryman before he turned to the elder goblin and said "As Yuki-san just said, we have no reason to help you unless you can give us something in return"

The goblin elder stared at Rimuru before he gazed at Yuki warily and said "Slime-sama, we are willing to give you our loyalty… please save us"

Yuki was tempted to tell him to shove his loyalty up his ass, but they were goblins and had nothing to give in the first place so he decided to turn a blind eye for once as Rimuru said "Fine, I shall accept your offer"

And just as he did, the sound of dire wolves howling in the distance outside the goblin's village echoed spelling their incoming doom if no one interferes and help them.

The dire wolves had at least 100 members while this goblin tribe only had 60, not to mention that it takes 10 goblins just to fight one dire wolf... in simpler terms, they were fucked.

'Stupid goblins, if they collected all their tribes in the forest they could have easily built a safe home for themselves' thought Yuki while shaking his head and said "It seems like there will be another attack today"

"Umu, we need to prepare beforehand" replied Rimuru as he walked outside to check the condition of the goblins that could fight and he was greatly disappointed…

'This fight is doomed' he thought and decided to think of a strategy as Yuki observed him calmly…
