《MY Life In The Multiverse》Chapter 92: Journey to the forest

After Yuki evolved his ability, he remembered that he still had an ability that was completely unevolved and decided the ask the spirits if they had the materials he needed.
"Ramiris-chan, is it possible to find any mind control stones here?"
Ramiris stared at Yuki curiously before she shook her head and said "No why would we need such an evil item… We manipulate others through our own ability!"
'That item is evil? Does she really not notice how morally wrong her sentence is?' thought Yuki who was slightly disappointed but Ramiris seemed to have had an epiphany as she said "Wait, I remember there was some stupid demon lord who thinks that he's the best at manipulating others… his name was cla-moun cla-min—"
"It's Clayman" Said the elemental of light, and Ramiris instantly nodded "Right right, Clayman, that guy is very creepy, I bet he has some of these stones you need"
Yuki's smile suddenly turned warm as he nodded at her and said "I see, thanks for the tip" and everyone couldn't help but feel a chill for some reason, a chill that reached all the way to the puppet nation jistav and down to ruler's ass…
"Well then, I guess we will take our leave now, I have already gotten what I need" said Yuki and gestured to Sacha and Kayle to get ready…
"Oh, you are actually not going to use this opportunity to try and connect with a spirit?" said the elemental of light in surprise while Ramiris held to Yuki's white hair and yelled "Don't leave so quickly, it has been a while since we had any visitors"
Yuki had a helpless look on his face as he stared at the spirit of light and said "Do you think I'm that greedy?"
However, not to mention the spirit of light who nodded at him with a playful look on his face, even his companions nodded as well but Yuki simply shook his head and thought 'These guys… Are they trying to insult me? Don't they know I'm greedier than this? Well I will be coming back here soon with Rimuru and they will understand eventually'
Yuki smiled warmly while staring at the huge mountain that would give birth to spirits before he turned to Ramiris and said "Ramiris-chan, I won't be going too far, I'm just going to take a look at the great Jura forest and in no time I will visit you again!"
"You promise?" Said Ramiris with puppy eyes and Yuki calmly patted her with his finger and said "Promise"
"Fine then, fufufufu I will gladly wait for you since you want to see me again this badly" said Ramiris arrogantly which brought a frown to Yuki's face as he muttered "Maybe I shouldn't come back"
Ramiris's face quickly changed again as she panicked and started trying to convince Yuki once more which brought a smile to the onlookers' faces…

…..
"Goodbye for now" said Yuki as he turned around and left, his destination the great Jura forest where he was going to meet the protagonist of this world whom he planned to establish a dimensional link with so that he could leave this world at any time!
Yuki planned to go directly towards the east of the great Jura forest, the location of the cave that Veldora was sealed in… But this journey would take a while, especially when they reach the heavily forested forest since they won't be able to use the carriage in most of the areas…
"Let's camp here for today" said Yuki after noticing that Sacha was getting tired since she was only a normal human unlike him… and Kayle…
Yuki's eyes narrowed slightly as he observed Kayle who was expertly preparing a campfire 'Are butlers supposed to know how to do such things expertly?' Thought Yuki silently before he suddenly felt something through his magic sense and said "I'm going to hunt something for dinner, this place should be relatively safe since we are still a little bit away from Ulgrasia's border with the great forest of Jura"
"Be careful, Yuki-sama" Said Sacha, and Yuki calmly nodded at her and left in a random direction where he sensed some wildlife and prepared to catch some for dinner. However, the real reason he decided to leave was that he received a telepathic communication from none other than Leon saying that he wanted to talk in private…
….
After walking a few hundred meters away from the camp, Leon suddenly appeared from behind a tree and approached Yuki "I have a question"
Yuki stared at him with a relieved look on his face and said "Thank god you are not here to assault—" However, he noticed the glare from Leon and decided against teasing him too much "tch you are no fun, ask"
"How were you able to summon someone you know so easily?" asked Leon with an intense desire in his eyes that Yuki clearly noticed since it was the same look he has when he sees a treasure…
"I'm not sure, I guess I would have been able to tell you if you had an essence of the elements, but you don't have it right" said Yuki with a wide smile that made Leon flinch slightly
"That… it's a misunderstanding" said Leon awkwardly finding himself caught in a lie and Yuki smiled at him warmly and said "Oh, go ahead, explain it to me, I'm all ears" said Yuki while clearing one of his ears with his pinky…
'This brat is annoying' thought Leon before he decided that it was better to directly apologize "my bad, answer my question now?"
"Who the hell apologizes by saying my bad? Buddy, you need to try harder" said Yuki with a disappointed look and Leon couldn't help but have a frown on his face as he said "What do you want—" but he suddenly realized that he fell into the trap of the devil in front of him whose smile turned greedier than his as he said "Now you are talking my language buddy, don't worry I won't ask for much, I just want some Primordial essence"

This primordial essence is what Yuki needed for his superior resistance to evolve, but Leon simply stared at him cluelessly and asked "What's that?
"Never mind, how about a tree of youth?" asked Yuki again, but he still only received another clueless look from Leon as he said "There exists a fountain of youth, but a tree of youth… I'm not sure about that"
'It seems like evolving my abilities any further would be quite difficult…' Letting out a snort, Yuki said "You owe me a big one" before he explained to Leon a little bit about his ability dimensional link since he didn't want to tell him about his system
"You see Leon, I have an ability that allows me to create a link with people that I'm connected to through fate, and that's how I was able to summon Yurei to this world"
Leon had a disappointed look on his face since this wasn't the answer he desired as this ability won't help him find Chloe…
Meanwhile, Yuki who knew a little bit about Leon's desire despite him only watching the anime thanks to his great friends that spoiled him on it said to Leon "Why do you want this kind of ability in the first place? I might be able to help you"
Hearing this, Leon frowned slightly before he leaned against a tree and said "More than 300 years ago when I was summoned to this world, I was summoned along with my childhood friend… However, we were separated and I've been trying to find her ever since"
"Mmm, so you are summoning kids at random in the off chance that you might luck out and end up summoning her huh?" asked Yuki and he received a nod from Leon.
"Are you an idiot? What kind of luck do you think you have to be able to summon a random kid" said Yuki with a disappointed look that made Leon glare at him as he continued…
"Have you investigated why she suddenly disappeared?"
Leon swallowed down his anger in the hope that this will end up with some kind of solution and said "Someone summoned her just as she arrived to this world, although I don't know why they targeted her specifically, plus I felt a disturbance at that time that I didn't understand, but now I know that it is somehow related to the power of time, which is why I decided to try my luck with the summoning ritual once more…"
'The girl he's searching for is Chloe, and I believe she was summoned by one of the western countries before she ended up at the free academy…' thought Yuki before he shook his head and said "I will help you find her, just stop summoning kids to this world, you should know that not all of them ends up lucky and survive, and others will keep suffering all their lives just like Shizue…"
Leon's eyes flickered slightly as he said with a sigh "I tried to help her"
"Yea yea, but you suck at helping people just like the way you lied about the essence of the elements" said Yuki with a hateful look.
"Goodbye, contact me if you find anything" Leon quickly made a tactical retreat at the mention of the essence of the elements and Yuki couldn't help but glare at the disappearing white light before he appeared behind an unsuspecting horned white rabbit and grabbed it by the neck and snapped it easily before he caught two more and left back to the camp…
"Here you go guys, this should be enough for dinner" said Yuki and Sacha and Kayle immediately started skinning the rabbits and prepared a few dishes using their meat…
…
As Yuki enjoyed his food, he contemplated his plans 'Rimuru should be coming out of the cave soon, I should be there to meet him just in case' thought Yuki before he suddenly received a notification… It was a mission!
[Quest: When opposites meet]
[Quest Description: The protagonist of this world, Rimuru tempest is a friendly and kind person that's not proficient with the cold ways of the world which would put his great talents and abilities to waste, so he needs a greedy opportunistic evil adviser to balance out his personality, and the system found you suitable for that!]
[Quest Task: Teach Rimuru your evil ways and do not allow him to follow the path of a clueless and beta main character]
[Quest Reward: 3 skill points + Additional rewards if the host overperforms]
[Quest punishment: None]
[Quest note: finally, you can put your talents to good use]
"This is the most insulting quest among all the ones that I have received, and it doesn't even have a punishment for not following it as if the system is sure I will do it…"
[Go ahead, be a man and don't accep--]
Yuki immediately stopped reading the notification that appeared in front of him as he muttered "This is a good way to motivate myself…" before he went to sleep with a peaceful smile on his face while thinking about the terrors he was going to cause to get the additional rewards from this quest…

This is just one of many, many paths that one might follow in Requiem's gameplay, if it ever becomes a game.
