《MY Life In The Multiverse》Chapter 41: Ghouls and Fatality!

As Yuki and Emilia were walking back to the Akihabara's station under the illuminating lights of this bustling place, they couldn't help but remember the weird purple-haired woman that suddenly approached them until Emilia couldn't hold back her curiosity anymore and decided to ask Yuki for his opinion "Yuki, what did you mean when you called that woman a monster in disguise?"
Yuki who knew the true identity of that woman and what evil deeds she was capable of was thinking if he should go to another city… Maybe it would solve his bad luck issues, but Emilia's question suddenly broke him from his thoughts and he ended up replying "Emi, you, Maou, Ashiya, and I aren't normal humans, you three because you came from Ente Isla but I'm a special case right?"
Emilia nodded her head and asked curiously "You mean that are other people that have special powers as you do and that woman could be one of them?"
Yuki nodded his head before he continued with a frown "That's right, I believe that there are many monsters hiding both above and under the surface of this world, and they might cause us harm if we aren't careful, so you better be careful and do not be so smug and let your guard down for your own safety" Here Yuki paused and looked at her seriously in the eyes before he said "At least, until you recover some of your mana and have enough to spare for a proper fight, okay?"
Emilia suddenly found her heart warmed by how concerned Yuki was about her so she lowered her head to hide her embarrassment and said "Okay…"
"That's good" Said Yuki before he followed by saying "This is not a simple assumption I am making without proof…" Then Yuki raised his head to the sky as if he was lamenting remembering an awful memory prompting Emilia to ask him "Are you talking about that weird landlord of Villa Rosa?"
'Now that I think about it, how did that woman know about our identity and the fact that someone was trying to establish an idea link, and she also predicted Lucifer's actions of trying to kidnap Chiho-chan! Isn't this world supposed to be magicless?' Emilia suddenly realized that she ignored such a huge event and didn't give it much importance but why? She wasn't usually this careless…
'Don't tell me!' Emilia suddenly noticed the frown on Yuki's face who still didn't reply as he was cleansing his mind from the image that popped up in it and he heard Emilia ask again "Yuki, are you suspecting something?"
Yuki shrugged and said "I think she's a nice woman, maybe she just wants to be left alone. However, the fact that you didn't give it much thought is worrying…" When he reached this point, Yuki ended up whispering while biting his nails which turned into a habit after his stressed days, but Emilia still heard him clearly "I wonder if Maou also ignored this fact or he simply doesn't see that blob as a threat…"
This really perplexed Yuki because the behavior of that demon lord was very unpredictable… Meanwhile, Emilia felt slightly angry as she thought 'He thinks so highly of Maou huh?' before she snorted and didn't say anything else, leaving Yuki drowned in his thoughts again as they boarded the train back to Sasazuka …

Ghouls are a carnivorous and cannibalistic humanoid species that are only able to feed on the flesh of humans and other ghouls. They are as close to humans as possible in terms of looks: they normally display the same attributes; the same physical appearance and intelligence as a human with the main exception being their inner biology, mentality, and diet. If certain rare conditions are met, ghouls and humans may even be able to have offspring.
Ghouls have a high physical capability and are four to seven times stronger than the average human: they are able to send the average human flying if struck with enough force and can penetrate a human's body with their bare hands. They are also capable of jumping to heights not achievable by a regular human.
Their bodies are extremely resistant to injuries. For example, if a ghoul were to be stabbed with a knife, the blade would break instead, suffering a small scratch that heals almost instantly. However, higher kinetic forces, such as a fall from a great height, can and will harm them.
Their senses are much keener than those of humans. They can smell people or meat from afar and tell humans and ghouls apart by their scent. They also have a heightened sense of hearing that even allows some ghouls to discern individual footsteps far away.
And right now, a certain purple-haired ghoul was going back to her apartment with an ecstatic look on her face, way different than her previous gentle appearance when she was talking to Yuki, and her hands were closed into fists so tightly to the point that they turned paler and she was muttering to herself "That woman smelled so heavenly delicious… ah I want to eat her"
This was of course Rize Kamishiro, a main plot character of Tokyo Ghoul and a very dangerous and disturbed woman that fed on both humans and ghouls alike. And apparently, her ghoul senses actually detected that Emilia was different from a normal human… After all, she's a half-angel and it seems like this brought a huge wave of desire from this sick ghoul.
But then her ecstatic face broke down as a disgusted look appeared on it when she remembered the White-haired boy who reeked of an awful sent and it was even hard to just stand near him as she felt like puking the moment she smelled him and it only grew worse when he opened his mouth to respond to her and his breath hit her in the face which caused even her perfect mask to crumble and she ended up showing some disgust on her face
"That thing isn't normal, it's unfortunate but it seems I will need to get my hands on that woman on another day when she's alone, but I already have her scent etched into my instincts so she has nowhere to run…" Rize's purple eyes suddenly turned into red irises surrounded by a black sclera and they were open wide like a predator ready to start its hunt…
As for the smell reeking from Yuki, What would you expect from someone with the potential of a minotaur and the soul of a petty thief…

After bidding goodbye to Emilia, Yuki made sure to pass by some stores and buy some additional supplies such as food and some cookware before he went back to his apartment.
There, he noticed a paper sitting under his door, which meant that someone probably slid it under. And when he checked it out, he found out that it was from Shiba the landlord that went missing after informing Maou and Ashiya about the danger approaching Chiho, and right now she wanted him to sign this paper that was talking about some renovations that were going to be done to the building to protect its residents from the increasing earthquakes that were occurring recently.
'Well, they are over but I guess there's no loss for me in this building getting renovated…' thought Yuki who didn't have a pen so he decided to sign it tomorrow after he steals one from Maou and Ashiya, oh and now Lucifer (Hanzo)…
But then he couldn't help but mutter "Wait, does this mean she had to bend down to slide it under the do.." The moment that sick, disgusting image of a pile of fat flapping in front of his door appeared inside his mind. Yuki immediately threw up as he muttered in a defeated voice "What a dangerous attack cough cough… I will make sure to use it on my dear neighbors tomorrow"
And after he recovered from this fatality Thanks to his [Guardian's orb] and made some food to get some of his energy back, Yuki decided to try the new skill he got, [Quick step] which allowed him to instantly appear in any location around him in a range of 5m.
'Let's see if it's true to its description' thought Yuki before he instantly focused on the door of his room and imagined himself appearing outside of it before he muttered the name of the skill in his head, and before he could even understand what was happening. The scenery around him changed and he appeared outside his room.
"Oh my god, this is so amazing, just when I thought about using it, I felt like I could really appear anywhere, but it also felt like the range would get lower whenever if tried to go through an obstacle, although the old door of my room didn't seem to be that big of an obstacle and it worked fine… System what's going on?" Yuki couldn't help but ask his unreliable system who simply responded to him with the following message.
[The harder the material you want to pass through, the lower the range of the skill gets, so forget about stealing a bank]
"Fuck, you can read my mind too… Tch, I need to test it more to see how much different materials limit this ability and hopefully, when I increase its level, this stupid limitation will disappear in the future" Muttered Yuki who was still satisfied with the performance of this skill despite this minor limitation because it could save his life or allow him to create huge opportunities if he ever finds himself in a difficult situation.
The following day, Yuki visited the two demons early in the morning so that he catches Maou before he goes to work and told them about his Dimensional link ability and his desire to establish a link with Maou so that if anything happens, he could communicate with him or teleport to him just in case.
"Amazing, for such a high-level ability to cause you no consumption, how could such a thing exist?" The demons were really surprised by how crazy this ability was and Yuki simply shrugged and said "I don't know… I was hoping you would explain to me" After all, the skill's description didn't mention any consumption requirement...
Yuki noticed Maou's red eyes kept flickering weirdly but he then said with a sigh "I really have no idea" 'The more I interact with this creep, the weirder It gets' Thought Maou with a sigh...
"Something that even my lord doesn't understand, how scary!" Said Ashiya dramatically while Lucifer simply went back to sleep after getting woken up by the noise…
'Oh, so you dare lie to me huh?' Yuki suddenly had an evil smile plastered on his face as he noticed that Maou was hiding something from him so he suddenly started praying, surprising the two demons, then, he retrieved a paper towel from his pocket and used it to get the paper that the landlord left him yesterday like some kind of cursed and unholy object.
The demons were scared that Yuki was trying to do something bad to them and even Lucifer opened one of his eyes to observe the weirdly escalating situation before he heard Yuki say "Gentlemen, This paper was given to me by our landlord…"
Ashiya raised one eyebrow and said fearlessly "So? Why are you being so dramatic about it? We also get letters from her"
Yuki's smile widened, and seeing this, Maou started taking some steps back feeling like something was wrong, all of his senses were screaming for him to run, but his brain didn't detect any logical danger and this contradiction froze him. And Lucifer noticing this suddenly started rising from his bed and was ready to make a run for it since he already learned the hard way how tricky this ghost guy could be… But it was too late as Yuki dropped the bomb on them and said
"Good question Ashiya, I actually found this paper under my door, the landlord must have slipped it under when I wasn't here yesterday…" At this point, Yuki started emanating a devilish aura appearing like a true demon as he initiated the fatal attack
Maou tried to close his ears but he wasn't fast enough and he heard Yuki say
"I wonder what kind of scene that was…" and clapped his hands lightly to add to their imagination
