"Albert, Emerada, what are you two doing here?" Said Emilia with a surprised and delighted look on her face while looking at Albert whose face was pale and was feeling nauseated from the travel through the gate connecting Ente Isla and this world.

As for Emerada, she simply yelled "Emilia!" and started running to her and gave her a quick hug while saying "I missed you"

"I missed you too…" Said Emilia as she suddenly felt that not all of her past was a lie which brought comfort to her broken heart..;

"Wait! are these four who I think they are…" the nauseated Albert suddenly noticed Maou, Ashiya, and Lucifer who were in their human forms so it took him some time to recognize them, as for Olba, he was beaten beyond recognition so he only identified him from his magician's cloak and shiny bald head…

"They aren't our enemies…" replied Emilia to the surprise of the two as Emerada shot her a weird look before she suddenly felt a chill and when she turned around, she noticed a creepy-looking guy standing near the demon lord and looking at her with a weird smile…

'Who's this guy? He gives me the creeps' She instinctively positioned her body to hide it behind Emilia's which brought a helpless smile to Yuki's face as he let the hero catch up with her friends and turned to Maou instead

"Maou-san, what do you intend to do with these two?"

Hearing this question, Maou simply shrugged and said "I'm responsible for this idiot's action as his superior so I will take him with me, as for Olba, I don't really care, he doesn't have any magic anymore so I can't bother with his existence anymore, Emilia can deal with him however she wants"

"Haaa, wait a second dear neighbor, you really want to bring this bastard to live at Villa Rosa? You know he almost killed me right?" Said Yuki urgently as more importantly, he was recalling the hate Lucifer held for him after he righteously sneak attacked him and melted his eyes…

"Don't worry, I promise you he won't do anything stupid again. Right Lucifer?" Said Maou while smacking Lucifer on the head…

"Yes boss…" He replied with barely audible words from his swollen mouth…

"Fine, I will trust you for now" replied Yuki with a shrug to which someone suddenly interjected and said "Kid, you know that these guys are dangerous right?"

It was Emerada who popped her head from behind Emilia after she explained the situation to her, especially the surprising news about Olba's actions which will require some investigations when they go back to Ente Isla… But right now, she was surprised that a human would actually trust the demon lord so easily after such a huge incident…

"Huh… Not really, they are my dear neighbors" said Yuki with a creepy smile as he put his hand around Maou's shoulder while thinking about what he should steal from them next and Maou's white face turned slightly pale like Albert…

'Is this guy a demon in disguise?' thought Emerada as she hid behind Emilia again who said "I need to go now, I will take Olba with me" before she turned to Yuki and said with a sincere smile that surprised everyone "Thank you for everything Yuki"

Yuki was surprised at first but then he simply smiled and said "No need for thanks when you are helping a friend" and hearing him say this brought a faint smile to Emilia's face which prompted Emerada to shoot her a weird look that embarrassed Emilia so she quickly dragged her teammates back to her apartment along with Olba to discuss their future plans…

"Maou-san, we should leave too, this place is getting crowded and I want to ask you a few things regarding magic…" said Yuki who knew that Maou had a lot of suspicions about how he used magic and his increased bodily strength so he decided to have a talk with him and get it over with…

"You are right… but I could barely move…" Said Maou who was barely standing through sheer power of will and hearing him say this, Chiho looked at him worriedly but Yuki didn't care at all as he simply turned around and carried him on his back "Let's go"

"Hey, don't carry my lord like a sack of potatoes" Said Ashiya while dragging Lucifer with him, but Yuki simply glared at him and he shat up.

"Ehhhh" Chiho's face suddenly turned red as she started having all kinds of dirty ideas, but everyone ignored her as Ashiya carried Lucifer and started heading back to Rosa Villa Sasazuka…

Back at apartment 201, Yuki and the two demons first started addressing the issue with Chiho regarding her knowing their identity and she insisted on not having her memories altered as she liked Maou no matter what…

And after she left, they finally started discussing the real puzzle that was Yuki as Maou asked curiously "Yuki-kun, just what's going on with you…"

He really didn't know what to ask first… This kid in front of him awakened his magic, gained a magic core that could use dark magic, and also got physically stronger somehow, all in the span of a single day… This was unbelievable to say the least, not to mention the barrier that blocked them...

"I will be honest with you, I have a special power that grants me certain benefits depending on the risk that I take… But this is a huge double-edged sword, and someone else in my position would probably be dead right now if they weren't as resourceful as me…" said Yuki with a tired look on his face while cursing his system nonstop inside his head.

"Is it related to the barrier that kept us sealed when this bastard tried to kidnap Chiho?" Said Maou while shooting Lucifer an angry look as the latter simply turned to look the other way not wanting to provoke another beating…

"Yes, I was given a mission to stop Chiho's kidnaping until 8:30 am and I was rewarded with the increased physical strength when I achieved this. But you can imagine how difficult that was for a normal human…" Said Yuki with a sigh and both Maou and Ashiya couldn't help but nod in admiration at what their neighbor achieved with his measly strength

"How useless…" Said Ashiya to Lucifer for failing to deal with a human which prompted the latter to quickly retort "Shut up Alciel, you didn't see how sneaky this guy can be…"

But Ashiya suddenly remembered how he almost got impaled by his own knife which Yuki stole as well as how he tricked them from a tea set leaving them only a cup to share between the two of them and Ashiya suddenly felt that Lucifer's fate wasn't really that big of a surprise…

Maou ignored the two idiots and thoughtfully said "You said you were required to hold them back until 8:30, but the barrier actually dissipated before that time"

'This guy's as smart as ever"' thought Yuki in admiration before he replied "You are correct, I saw how you guys tried to break the barrier but nothing happened, but I guess when I was under the rubble and Lucifer started attacking it, th-"

"Call me Hanzo in this world" Said Lucifer interjecting to tell the fake name he was using in this world but Ashiya simply slapped him in the back of the head and said "Shut up, no one cares"

And Yuki completely ignored him and calmly continued "Hanzo's attacks appeared to be effective for some reason, so I think that there are many hidden rules to the missions I'm receiving and I could have probably dealt with this situation in other ways…"

Maou appeared thoughtful before he said "Couldn't you ignore these missions? I'm sure that would be safer for you than risk your life like that"

"I wish I could have, however, as I said, they are a double-edged sword, and if I didn't complete any of the missions I was given… I would have been dead regardless of Hanzo's actions!"

Maou's eyes suddenly narrowed as the room grew silent and they felt some pity for what this kid was forced to go through, including Hanzo who Yuki was trying to get closer to by using his fake name…

"Calling this a double-edged sword is an understatement…" Said Ashiya with a sigh and Maou agreed with him

"Well, on the other hand, I'm probably stronger than any human in this world right now and even awakened magic, and this brings me to what I wanted to ask from the two of you… Can you teach me how to use magic?"

"I guess we can, but it's going to be hard because this world lacks mana…" Said Maou to which Yuki simply said "Don't worry, take a walk with me outside and you will recover it in no time…"

'That's sadly true…' Thought Maou while looking at Yuki's mummified appearance… Imagine a person whose peak is having 100 points in strength, yet he only has 6 points something instead…

That's like a normal human having 0.06 points in strength, which is why his appearance has gotten worse. But the upside is when he starts training, his attributes will rise quickly!

"Sure, I can teach you when I don't have work to do, and I think Ashiya too wouldn't mind" said Maou, and Ashiya nodded afterward…

"That's great. Well, I will leave you guys to catch up with your 'friend' Hanzo…" Said Yuki and then he calmly left to his room…

Back in his room, Yuki finally had the time to open his last two rewards, and he did it without any hesitation starting with the reward of task three

Two items suddenly appeared in front of Yuki, The first was an orb that looked like the crystal clear balls used for divinations but blue in color, and the other looked like a Vikings war horn and it was yellow.

And before Yuki could examine them properly, they suddenly turned into light and entered his chest creating two black Tattoos matching their shapes.

Yuki couldn't hold back his curiosity so he quickly opened his stats panel and noticed that there were two new sections

'Hum, they could be upgraded too?' this slightly surprised Yuki but he decided to check their descriptions first.

[Guardian's Orb (1/10): A dream item for every beginner mage. Grants +40 Magic, +150 Mana. UNIQUE – RECOVERY: Restore 1% mana and health every minute]

[Guardian's Horn (1/10): A dream item for every beginner warrior. Grants +10% increase in vitality, UNIQUE – UNDAUNTED: Blocks 15% damage from all sources]

'This is amazing, as much as I hate the system for forcing me to undergo these difficult missions, the rewards have been amazing so far, I can't wait to see what the last reward is going to be…' Thought Yuki who was delighted by his gain and quickly opened the ultimate reward of this chain quest...
