The next day signified the 28th of mars. It was another beautiful sunny day and Yuki woke up early in the morning thanks to the rays of the sun that burned through his eye sockets and rudely woke him up from his first enjoyable sleep in this world, he could have slept more but he didn't have such luxuries with his current condition...

So, he started by doing his usual morning routine and entered the small bathroom to the left side of his room. This room after all was accompanied by a huge closet and a small bathroom which was good for someone who enjoys his privacy like him instead of having a shared bathroom for the whole building.

As he was washing his face, he couldn't help but take a second look at his current appearance and ended up touching his pale face as he muttered to himself "Finally, I don't look like a ghost anymore, but it seems like I leveled up to be a skeleton instead… guess I will find if this and upgrade or a downgrade when I go out again…"

Yuki couldn't help but think that he might end up living alone for the rest of his life so he thought 'Should I get a dog or something? Nah I can't afford to feed a dog, and if he starves enough and finds himself looking like me, he might take his own life...'

With a sour mood, Yuki started checking his stats and he noticed that this time, sleep didn't recover any of his lost vitality, unlike the first time when he recovered 0.15 points, and he reached a new understanding about his weakened state

'It seems like it isn't simply caused by a lack of attribute but also by how malnourished this body is and the toll all the drug abuse took on it… It seems like I was being naïve thinking that I might recover by just sleeping… it is simply daydreaming at its best, the fact that I don't crave drugs and my issue with addictions seems to be solved is already a miracle on its own! Or... was it something else?' Yuki couldn't help but think about Karma and the possibility that it might have helped him way more than what was on the surface...

Either way, he thanked Karma in his head before he muttered to himself "I have no way to rush this, but at least I will recover as time goes by, and hopefully I will get quests that increase my vitality or grant me free attribute points, otherwise at this rate he will really be in trouble if I fall sick"

After he washed away any traces of tiredness left on his body using the cold water from the sink, he went to the 'kitchen' and started preparing a bowl of simple Japanese eggs on rice breakfast while thinking about his current situation…

After he finished preparing his food, he started eating it directly from the frying pan because he didn't have any plates, and he was using chopsticks that he got yesterday from Maou and Ashiya when he was trying to prepare his dinner…

He forgot to buy a knife to cook with, so he ended up borrowing one from them which gave Ashiya another sleepless night as he kept thinking that he might come to stab him whenever he falls asleep, and Yuki was really tempted to when he saw that Ashiya was still treating him like some ominous omen…

As he was stuffing his mouth with food, Yuki couldn't help but feel disappointed that there was no additional monetary reward from the quests… "These rewards are amazing but what I lack the most right now is money…"

As his mind kept drifting around all kinds of possibilities on how to fix his present situation including using his past engineering knowledge…

Somewhere else in a dormitory renowned for its weird residents, a blonde girl suddenly woke up with messy hair and wearing only an oversized shirt that was barely covering her and started stretching like a lazy cat with a drowsy look on her face, clearly not fully awake yet…

From her room, a person can understand that this girl firmly embraces chaos and all it has to offer with her clothes littered all over the ground mixed between clean and dirty, various sketches and paintings were thrown all over the room and to the unknown onlooker, they might think that this was the crime scene of a recent robbery!

This was the Sakurasou dormitory that Chihiro manages and where Mashiro currently lives. Usually, she would find herself lost at what to do in the morning, but this time she simply wanted to call her new friend and ask him about her manga so she picked up her phone and called a phone number with the title Yuki Chibana…

*ring* *ring* *ring*

"Hm? who's calling me this early in the morning? this better not be you again Chihiro…" Yuki thought with a fearful expression on his face remembering the torture he had to go through yesterday when he tried to sleep and Chihiro kept calling and sending him messages like a crazy girlfriend…

What he didn't know is that this was her revenge for ignoring her stupid seductive look yesterday so she decided to get back to him by pestering him all night so he finally got fed up with her and ended up putting his phone on mute and went to sleep peacefully which infuriated Chihiro to no end...

However, when he looked at who's the caller this time, he found that it was actually the little scary angel Mashiro so it eased his previous worry a little… just a little because this girl too wasn't normal and she gave him another kind of worry…

"Hello?" Yuki said as he picked up and waited for Mashiro to state her purpose but she simply said "Hi" and then silence fell prompting him to check many times if the call was cut or something while she simply kept playing with her hair inside her room... 'What the hell is this girl doing calling someone and then says nothing? are you negotiating with me and trying to see who talks first to get the upper hand?'

Yuki decided to ignore his silly thoughts and break this awkward silence instead "Good morning Mashiro, did you have your breakfast yet?"

Mashiro simply replied "No" and then fell silent again, but this time he understood that what follows after silence is simply more and more silence and as they say, fool me once? shame on you, fool me twice? please stop being a dick.

"Hmm, is there a reason you called me this early in the morning?"

Hearing his question, Mashiro opened her mouth and was about to reply, but a boy suddenly barged into her messy room while saying "Good morning Mashi-" but he suddenly stopped midsentence and was surprised when he saw her talking on the phone and said apologetically "Sorry Mashiro, I didn't know you were talking on the phone"

This was of course Sorata Kanda, he's a young man with an average build and height. He has short, spiked light brown hair and eyes and could be considered handsome by some. Because of Chihiro's incompetence, she actually pushed all the responsibility of taking care of Mashiro on him as the other tenants were as unreliable as her, that's why he didn't feel weird coming into her room like this…

Mashiro nodded at him and returned to talk to the phone and said "Yuki I want to meet you"

Meanwhile, hearing the male voice that rudely entered Mashiro's room, Yuki immediately guessed who it was and he couldn't help but think that Mashiro is a pro at creating misunderstandings as he thought 'Here we go again...' before he replied "Sure I'm free, but why?" however, he never expected that this girl will really directly cause a disaster without any foreplay at all...

"I want to touch you" Said Mashiro innocently and Sorata finally couldn't hold his curiosity back anymore and rushed to Mashiro's side as he started stuttering "M-M-Mashiro what are you talking about, t-t-t-touching him, and who's this guy Yuki you are talking to?"

Mashiro looked curiously at Sorata's reaction not understanding why he was acting this way before she said "Yuki's my friend"

'What kind of friends touch each other?' Sorata's mind was filled with all kinds of dirty thoughts while Yuki on the other hand became certain of something 'This girl is definitely doing this on purpose to mess with me, definitely!' but he knew that she didn't actually have dirty thoughts so he asked "Is this related to that manga you are writing?"

When he got back to his home yesterday from the police station, he exchanged a few messages with Mashiro for a while and they got to know each other better and she told him about her past, how she used to be a famous painter and ended up coming to Japan to follow her dream and become a mangaka, that's why he knew about her manga and guessed her intention, or to be more accurate, this is how he could justify his knowledge of her so he doesn't slip up accidentally and say something that might make people suspicious of him more than they already are…

Hearing what he said, Mashiro suddenly had a small almost indiscernible smile on her face that mesmerized Sorata, this smile was because Yuki, unlike other people who do tend to misunderstand her a lot like Sorata right now even though he has known her for a while, a new friend who she made only yesterday quickly understood her true intentions which made her very happy…

"Yes" She replied, which made Sorata grow in his misunderstanding and started yelling at her "Mashiro, I know you are lacking in social skills but do you seriously not understand that you can't do such things?"

Sorata was really angry at her, and even he didn't know where all this anger was coming from, but it made Mashiro sad for getting yelled at for no reason so she pushed him out of the room while saying "Sorata you're an idiot" and closed the door behind her.

Our little hero Sorata started banging on the door for Mashiro to open it startling the rest of the tenants but she simply ignored him... So, he decided to tell her cousin about this and maybe instill some sense into her. Of course, what he was really feeling is jealousy, jealousy because she asked a random friend for this instead of him who's taking care of her…

But, he soon found himself surprised when Chihiro opened the door to her room and seemed like she hasn't slept well yesterday as she had bags under her eyes, and when he started blabbering on and on about how Mashiro was talking on the phone and wanted to touch this Yuki guy, He noticed that Chihiro suddenly became energetic in a wrong way!

"That bastard Yuki, how dare he ignore him and go after Mashiro!" said Chihiro with gritted teeth before she ignored Sorata and went to Mashiro's room to get to the bottom of what's going on…

'She knows him?' thought Sorata in doubt before he followed after her… And some way or another, 1h later, Yuki ended up in a coffee shop with all three of them sitting with him at the same table…

An: Sorry everyone, I was very sick and couldn't post the last two days. Now I'm still sick but at least I can focus on writing so we are back on track!
