Every person has their scars, and getting reminded of them always brings a certain heaviness to the heart, and in Yuki's case not only was he reminded of them but the bullshit the three idiots kept spewing only made it worse…

"What's wrong kid, you got some balls now and trying to show off in front of these bitches" Said one of the thugs while looking at Yuki's dead eyes nervously, but seeing that they were getting no reaction they finally couldn't hold back anymore and one of them said

"Hey kid we are talking to you here!" before he put his hand heavily on Yuki's shoulder trying to intimidate him. Yuki looked at his eyes coldly and said "Remove your hand if you cherish it"

"Hahahaha" That thug burst out laughing and his friends did the same before he smugly looked at Yuki and said "I won't remove it, what are you going to do about it?"

Yuki's eyes suddenly contracted and he couldn't help but think 'Now you've done it..'

Chihiro seeing that they were starting to get physical, took out her phone and was about to call the police but another one quickly held her hand and snatched the phone away from her all the while provoking her with a wicked smile as he said

"What do you think you are doing?"

"Let go of me!" Yelled Chihiro before she bitch slapped him on the face…

"YOU BITCH DARE TO HIT ME!!!!" That guy snapped as his ugly face now had a red handprint on it and he couldn't believe he was humiliated by this woman so publicly and was ready to start a fight…

At this point, Mashiro's eyes became watery as she clung to Yuki fearfully, but then she heard a sigh followed by a melancholic voice muttering "Sigh, I really didn't want to push this weak body, but it seems I'm left with no choice…"

Mashiro suddenly looked up and noticed that the coldness in Yuki's face was gone and it was replaced with pure apathy as she saw him grabbing the hand that was on his shoulder with both his hands and quickly twisted it at the wrist while standing up quickly all in one motion causing the big man that was looking at him arrogantly and taunting him moments ago to bow down from the pain as he kept twisting his hand.

Of course, the difference in physical strength between them was simply too much and this only worked because he was distracted by Chihiro slapping his friend…

"You bastard let go of me!" Said the man that was getting his hand twisted by Yuki, but he received no response from Yuki who still has no expression on his face as he said in an eerie voice that made him truly appear like a ghost "Well you should have thought first before deciding to come here, not to mention I already warned you"

"You piece of shit let him go or I will kill you" said the one who was bitch slapped by Chihiro now trying to turn his anger into Yuki

"You three have two choices, wait here until the cops arrive like good boys since I could tell some people already called them and your friend will be alright. Or, keep acting stupidly and I will break his hand and give the rest of you a nice beating. I'm fine with both options "

Unfortunately, that guy didn't understand that this was Yuki's last effort to try to hold his awakened demons back and not go batshit crazy on them. But the thug chose the bad option instead and decided not to heed Yuki's warning as he retrieved a small folded knife from his pocket and started threatening him with a wicked look on his face

'This is bad, he actually has a knife' Chihiro and Mashiro's heart were finally hit by a strong wave of terror at the thought of what could happen next to them and the boy that they just met, and not only them, but the people watching also started feeling that situation was escalating way out of control and slowly started standing up in a panic and leaving this place less they get themselves involved in this mess...

The thug against whatever fear his friend was feeling, wickedly held the knife pointed at Yuki and said "Go ahead I dare you, try it and I will make you regr-"'

*CRACK*

The sound of bones dislocating suddenly echoed before he could even finish his threat as the look of apathy in Yuki's face finally changed into a crazy smile and an eerie silence suddenly swallowed this whole area of the Sasazuka park until it was broken by a sudden blood-curdling scream coming from the thug that had just got his hand broken by Yuki.

"AAAAA"

Yuki let go of the man that was now holding his loose broken arm in pain before he looked at the guy that took out a knife with the same apathetic look as before and waited for his next course of action calmly

"Youuu" The thug yelled and rushed at Yuki with the knife ready to make a porcupine out of him starting by a stab to the chest which Yuki easily predicted as this was one of the most common stabs and he used his epic self-made technique which he called the crouching dragon pouncing tiger that was the fruit of all his 11 years of martial arts training to deal with these kinds of attacks as he suddenly ducked down almost sitting on the floor allowing him to dodge the first stab that was directed at his chest and before the thug could retract his hand and try to stab him again. Yuki immediately punched him on his unexposed knife…

Another scream followed after as this idiot fell down to the floor while holding his poor destroyed nuts…

Seeing that his two friends were taken out by this weird kid easily, the last gang member woke up to reality and turned around as he chose to make a run for it before he also gets beaten up or the cops arrive here, but he suddenly found his way blocked by a young man that had two blood-red eyes and was looking at him with a level of disdain similar to looking at a bug and for some reason he found himself paralyzed and couldn't move an inch as he was overwhelmed with fear at this inexplicable situation he found himself in

'I thought I was running from a ghost, but I landed in the hands of a demon…' was the last thought of this thug...

Of course, this was the doing of Maou who noticed that once panic started ensuing from this incident, he was actually able to absorb these negative emotions emanating from the people and turned them into Mana which restored some of his lost strength so he used his magic to cast a simple paralyzing spell to incapacitate the third gangster before he punched him on the face knocking him out to make it appear that he stopped him physically…

What Maou didn't know was that he wasn't supposed to discover that he could recover his lost magic by using negative emotions until way later when he meets his other demon general Lucifer... so the fate of this world was already getting derailed…

"Are you okay?" asked Mashiro hurriedly while looking at Yuki with a worried face, while Chihiro was shooting him a weird look, surprised by how good he was at fighting and how unaffected he was when he broke that guy's hand …

Seeing this girl worried about him broke Yuki from the cold state he was in and he couldn't help but pat her head gently as he said "I'm fine don't worry" leaving her speechless. Then he turned his attention to Maou who came to help not noticing the slight smile that appeared on Mashiro's face when he patted her...

Chiho who was following behind Maou was looking at him with shining eyes after watching him easily knocking out such a huge thug with a calm look so she said "Maou-san, you are so cool!!"

Chihiro at this point realized how rude she was acting ignoring someone that came to help them when the rest of the people in the park simply kept watching or ran away so she immediately bowed politely to Maou and said "Thank you very much for your help" then she turned to Yuki and did the same "You too, it seems we brought you a lot of trouble today"

Maou smiled calmly and said "There's no need to thank me, after all, I'm simply helping my neighbor"

"Neighbor?" Chiho, Mashiro, and Chihiro couldn't help but ask at the same time before they turned to look at the ghost-like kid who finally spoke and cleared their doubts.

"You came right in time Maou, I really couldn't have chased after that guy with this weak bo-" but then he blacked out without even having a chance to complete his sentence, however Mashiro who was close to him reacted quickly and caught him in her arms before he fell down and was surprised to find out how easy it was for her to hold him…' So light' she thought, causing her heart to ache again while looking at the kid she was holding...

"Yuki-kun!" Yelled Maou as he rushed to Yuki's side and used his magic secretly to check out the condition of his body 'His Immune system is in a terrible state… it seems he didn't lie about his drug addiction, but it seems he only fainted and will wake up soon'

"I will call an ambulance!" said Chihiro quickly as Mashiro gently put Yuki on the grass as a tear slowly slid from her eye which Chiho noticed so she approached her and started comforting her…

5 minutes later, Yuki finally woke up… and noticed many people in uniforms all around him both cops and a medic who was checking on his body before he suddenly woke up…

"What happened?" Yuki asked feeling that his head was slightly disoriented and his vision was spinning reminding him of his experience when he came to this world.

The medic seemed to heave a sigh of relief as he said "Thankfully you woke up, I never saw a case like yours that fainted for almost 5 minutes…"

Maou curiously asked "What do you mean?" and Yuki couldn't help but pay attention even in this state as it concerned his health…

"He had an adrenaline rush during his deadly encounter which is normal and it caused his heart rate and blood pressure to increase dramatically, but then he probably felt safe, so his brain shut down his bodily functions forcefully and slowed down his heart back to normal which caused him to faint…."

Chiho was confused as everything seemed normal so far so she asked "What did you mean then when you said you never saw a case like this?" everyone else felt that this question was on point and curiously waited for an answer

However, before the medic could respond, Yuki said "It's because I took longer than normal to wake up that's all, right?"

The medic seemed surprised at Yuki's medical knowledge but he immediately understood that he probably didn't want to worry everyone else, that's why he was shrugging it off as if it wasn't a big deal and the medic couldn't help but think 'longer than normal? It took you five times longer than the maximum it would take for a normal person to wake up…' but he decided to respect Yuki's decision and stood up to leave but not before he said "I suggest you go to the hospital as soon as you can"

Yuki nodded at him "I will"

And as everyone had different thoughts when they heard this conversation, Maou was contemplating a point that was ignored by the rest 'Why did he feel so safe…'
