After Yuki had a simple dinner with Maou and Ashiya and they got to know each other a little bit more and he was surprised to find himself treating them like normal people and he came to the realization 'If I didn't have my knowledge from the anime and simply met them here, it's possible that I would have never realized how dangerous these two could actually be! I need to be careful around the people I meet in the future… who knows maybe other weird creatures are living like normal people…'

Then, Yuki thanked them for their 'hospitality' if it could even be called as such when your host is blatantly afraid of you and keeps a distance from you in case you want to try something...

'You are a demon for god's sake, the best I could do to harm you is maybe cast a silent fart with my legendary magic as I'm leaving your apartment tch...' Thought Yuki helplessly…

After he left their apartment, Yuki finally took out the key that Miki handed to him and opened the door to room 202 and once inside, he almost felt like he was back to those guy's apartment when he saw the completely empty room which wasn't much different from theirs.

'Well at least I'm alive, I will think about getting a better apartment when I settle down properly in this new world and find a stable income...'Thought Yuki, hopeful for his future, but then he couldn't help but start thinking about all the events that occurred one after another and he almost felt like he was in a dream...

First, he was killed by a serial killer in his sleep, then he ended up miraculously helping in catching him from whatever grave he was thrown into because he planted a hidden camera in his house's backdoor for fun.

Then he ended up meeting the mysterious orb Karma, and what a sweet sweet moment it was, that bitch actually sent him through a black hole that made him puke his innards out while staying paralyzed for two whole days without even apologizing... but he still missed it for some reason...

Then he discovered the weirdness of the people in this world, but before he could even contemplate it, he was kicked out of the apartment that the previous Yuki turned into a shit hole...

And today, out of the many events that happened, from energy strengthening his body to facing the threat of death, and meeting that purple thing... what fascinated him the most and he was still finding unbelievable was that he actually met a demon! and a demon lord at that! one that terrorized a whole world to the point that he had an anime made after him...

Not to mention he scared him and then they actually talked in front of a table like any normal people would, but he knew deep inside his heart that he was trying to figure him out even though he didn't show it on his face, but most unnerving than all of this was that even that guy Ashiya that seemed so afraid of him... he can crush him like a bug if he wanted to even with his current state that was almost deprived of his mana because of its absence in this world...

"I need to adjust my mentality to this new life of mine as soon as possible. Otherwise, I wouldn't even know what killed me or how..." Thought Yuki, and oh if he only knew how close he was to death if Miki didn't arrive just in time…

Finished with his thoughts, and with a not so empty stomach like it was before, he was finally able to check his system's interface and accept the rewards from the Quest.

Yuki was tempted to try and overperform even more, but after some contemplation, he decided otherwise. After all, he can't try to find another protagonist in three hours in this huge world, nor did he have the energy to do so. Well technically he could try to find Chiho, but that's only possible if he asks Maou, and the last thing he wants is to make that guy even more suspicious of him.

So, he better accepts his reward and gets rid of this mission before he loses 0.3 points to all his attributes and go meet his maker...

'Skill points huh? Well, I guess if I click on the + sign beside the skill, it will use the skill point to make it stronger or something huh? well let's see the skill's description then"

Yuki was excited about testing out this new skill so without any foreplay, He clicked on the name of the skill which caused a new window to appear under it that contained a detailed description of the skill…

[Dark Shield (1/10): An active skill that creates a shield around the target and absorbs the next 80 (+50% of Magic) elemental damage while active (Doesn't work against physical attacks), Dark Shield prevents the application of all disables. Yuki felt his excitement deflating and dropping down to dangerous degrees like never before as he started cursing the system and his luck none stop 'Fuck my life, what's the point of giving me a skill if I can't even use it, and how am I supposed to learn magic and gain mana in a world that doesn't have them tch'

Yuki thought he was going to become a great sorcerer! Well, that was an obvious exaggeration but at least he would have a way to protect himself in this dangerous world, but now he couldn't help but think 'It seems like I'm really destined to become a ghost…'

"Sigh, what a waste of my time… if this world is the same as in the anime, It doesn't contain mana something even the protagonists found trouble with… so if I want to gain it, or even learn how to use it, I will have to visit Ente Isla, but that's simply a death wish… aaaaaa I want to smash my head into a wall…" Yuki held his head in his hands while thinking about what could happen to him if on a whim, the two demons beside him felt like eating human flesh one day and he wouldn't be able to protect himself…

"I can't keep thinking about this, maybe I will find a way to learn magic in the future, but for now I need to focus on getting my health back on track and not bother with anything else that's beyond my control…"

And so, burying his worries deep inside his heart, Yuki started layering some of his clothes on the floor to create a makeshift bed as he thought 'I really need to acquire many supplies…' before he laid down and was immediately assaulted by a wave of intense fatigue that his body accumulated throughout his time in this world so he immediately passed out and didn't wake up the next day until the sun has fully risen…

Early next morning, Maou woke up to go to work and said goodbye to Ashiya who had bags under his eyes, clearly from a lack of sleep.

Ashiya kept having nightmares about a ghost with long white hair and green bloodshot eyes suddenly appearing at his feet before it slowly climbs over him and starts to strangle him violently causing him to wake up suddenly feeling as if a hand was really on his neck!

And the problem is that dream kept repeating many times until he decided not to sleep at all, which made him end up in this miserable state so early in the morning...

Ashiya was very reluctant to let his lord go and leave him alone near that creepy kid even though he knew they can't afford it since Maou was the only one working and providing for the two of them while he took care of various shores or as he would put it 'Defended the fort, While Maou fought at the frontlines!' but in reality, he was simply a housekeeper… Maou was still angry at him about yesterday so he ignored him and gleefully went to work while riding his legendary Dullahan! Or to be more accurate, his bike…

When he got to work, which's at the MgRonald's restaurant, he went to the men's locker room like usual and changed to his MgRonald's red uniform consisting of a short-sleeved red t-shirt with a button-up collar, a yellow stripe running across the mid-torso with the company's logo on the right breast. As well as a pair of black pants, a belt, and a matching visor hat, also bearing the MgRonald's logo.

When he was done changing into his uniform, he took a deep breath and went to his manager's office, and started knocking on the door and waited…

A female's voice soon came from the other side saying "Who's it?"

Maou calmly replied "It's Maou Sadao, can I talk to you for a minute?"

The female's voice was surprised a little "Oh, you are the new guy huh? You are pretty early today, come in"

"Excuse me" said Maou as he opened the door and was greeted by an attractive woman sitting on a chair while going through some documents on her desk…

This was Mayumi Kisaki the manager of the Hatagaya MgRonald branch where Maou works. She's is a tall fair-skinned woman with chest-length black hair that is tied in a ponytail where it drapes over her left shoulder with bangs hanging over her forehead, dark-blue eyes, and a slim but shapely figure.

She was wearing a female manager's uniform, which consists of a red hat, a short-sleeved pale yellow collared shirt, an orange-yellow tie with white stripes, a maroon vest, and a form-fitting navy-blue skirt that cuts off just above the knee.

"Welcome Maou-kun, I'm very satisfied with your work ethic and everybody thinks so highly of you, at this rate you will find yourself promoted in no time" Mayumi complemented Maou for his hard work trying to use some positive reinforcement on him.

And the sad thing is it actually worked because right now this demon lord was so smug while thinking to himself with a twinkle in his blood-red eyes 'HAHAHAAHAHAAH, Soon, soon I will take over this branch, and embark on my journey to conquer this world, Oh humans, tremble at my greatness'

But outside he acted like a perfect employee as he humbly bowed and said with a gentle smile "I will do his best"

Nodding in satisfaction, Mayumi looked at him and asked curiously "So, did you need something?"

At this question, Maou rubbed the back of his head embarrassedly and started telling her about the dire situation of the ghost he met yesterday "You see I have a neighbor, and he…"

Mayumi couldn't help but look at Maou with admiration for his kindheartedness, trying to help someone he only met for a day because he took pity on his situation.

She was also touched by the story and Maou's kind-heartedness and even though she wanted to help directly. In the end, she was running a business, one that she didn't own and simply worked for just like him, although with a higher position so she ended up saying "I don't mind having another worker here, after all, we are slightly shorthanded, but I won't accept anyone who doesn't work hard and properly"

Maou immediately bowed and said "Of course, I agree with you, I will take responsibility for him and I will make you will be satisfied"

'Why's he going so far for someone he just met?' Mayumi was getting a little suspicious, but she decided to simply shrug it off and consider him a kindhearted person…

But in reality, only this demon lord knew his real intentions for trying to get that guy to work with him…

Meanwhile, back at the Villa Rosa, Yuki ended up oversleeping and only woke up when it was noon... As he stood up from his makeshift bed, he let out a long yawn and started checking the condition of his body and he was pleasantly surprised when he found out that he wasn't in as much pain as yesterday

"Hmm, I actually feel much better than yesterday, did something change in my stats?"

"Well, yesterday's dinner wasn't much so of course I would wake up like this, let's fill up properly this time"

And so, he started preparing himself to head out and try to enjoy his time in this new world and fill up his empty stomach…
