《MY Life In The Multiverse》Chapter 2: Karma

The last days of march welcomed the start of spring, and in Tokyo, the beauty of spring was at full view as the snow from the winter slowly melted, and with it came the warmth of the shining sun and the blooming of cherry blossoms creating a magnificent sight for the eyes to behold and enjoy.
This particular season means a lot to the Japanese people because it not only signifies the start of the new school year for the students, but it also symbolizes hope for people to leave their sadness behind and move on with a new life, hopefully a better life...
That's why generally, people use this time to enjoy the view of this magnificent season by going outside to watch the flowers or simply enjoy the nice weather it has to offer alone or with their friends...
However, one kid was laying in his bed while deep in thought feeling no joy from this miracle of life he could witness if he walks a few steps from his bed and stares out of the window.
This kid was Yuki Chibana, or at least this was his current name. It has been two days since Yuki arrived to this world and he couldn't get over the fact that this was supposed to be his dream world, not to mention the horrible situation he found himself in the moment he opened his eyes…
Yuki had a face full of annoyance as he stared at the ceiling of his room while remembering his first day in this world 'Why am I this unlucky? Was it the doing of that stupid orb? Is it trying to purposefully make my life harder than necessary?'
After Robin told the orb about his wish and got swallowed by the dark portal, he immediately passed out, and the next time he regained consciousness and opened his eyes, he had an overwhelming feeling of nausea and disorientation as if someone played football with his head which made him start puking his innards out right away all over the room he didn't recognize…
After he regained some of his clarity and started to check his own condition, to his surprise, he found himself in the body of a person he didn't recognize 'What's going on?' thought Robin in his drunk like disoriented state, and he wished he didn't ask this stupid question because the moment he did, a terrible pain assaulted all his senses, and with it came the memories of the life of the kid who's body he possessed now.
Yuki Chibana was a 15 years old Japanese kid from Tokyo. He surprisingly had long natural white hair and green eyes, something you wouldn't typically see a human born with. Now you would think that he would be a handsome kid and all the girls are running after him right? NO, you couldn't be any more mistaken... because the only chasing that happens is when they are running away from him as far as possible…

Yuki looked like a mummified person, his complexion was unhealthy and pale, his green eyes sunken into their eye sockets with huge dark circles around them signifying a lack of sleep, and his face looked like a skeleton with skin, His long white hair was disheveled and dirty and as for the rest of his body… if you can call this a body… let just say he was on the extra slim side…
What bothered Robin the most was that this kid had a similar past to his. Yuki too was a lonely kid and his parents died in a car accident leaving him alone to fend for himself in this strange world…
However, while Robin picked Himself up and did His best to at least secure a better life, this kid chose to go on a path that was completely opposite to his...
He couldn't handle the pressure and responsibility of living in this world alone, not to mention the emotional pain of losing his two pillars of financial and emotional support in the world which were his parents.
So, he drowned himself in all kinds of drugs and shut himself away from the rest of the world living an extremely unhealthy lifestyle off of whatever he inherited from his parents, but this kind of lifestyle took a toll on his growing body, and eventually, it caused it to shatter resulting in his death… and lucky Robin was given this bag of shit to live in…
Of course, He's thankful that he's even alive right now even if he felt like he was about to say goodbye to this new life at any moment, but he couldn't help but mutter "Seriously can't you do any better you fucking orb…"
[I could, but I didn't want to] an answer actually came at that time startling him awake from His bed and he started stuttering "I-I-I was just joking around you know, we are old friends after all" while inside he was thinking 'I'd rather be dead than be your friend you stupid orb'
[I will gladly grant you that wish for free] replied the orb to His thought in a threatening tone and he couldn't help but feel His privacy was getting fucked again 'Tch, I forgot it can hear me'
"Ahum, you know I like to mess with you, anyways where's the system you promised me? I've been in this weird world for two days suffering in my bed and I didn't get anything yet" Yuki's face was full of concern at the scary thought of not getting his system that he desperately wished for…
As for why he described this world as weird? Well, imagine living in a normal world your whole life, and then you suddenly find yourself in a world where people have naturally red, blue, and even green colored hair. Not to mention that some people can actually do insane feats of physical strength, yet that seems normal here and no one asks too much about them…

[The system was waiting for your soul to synchronize with your new body before it could activate, that's the cause of the disorientation you are feeling and it be activated soon]
Hearing what this ancient voice said, Robin had an enlightened look on His face as he said "I see, so it's not because of traveling through that dark portal!"
[O-Of course not!] hearing the ancient voice stutter, Robin's expression was filled with anger as he suddenly understood what this meant "You bastard! you did this to me on purpose didn't you, I couldn't sleep or eat and had to simply lay in bed like a corpse waiting for that disgusting feeling to go away for two whole days thinking that I was going to come to see you soon again in that white space and yet you didn't even come to comfort me"
For a while, there was complete silence in the room with no response, yet for some reason, Robin can imagine an ancient voice laughing at His misfortune with a disgusting smirk on its round body... until out of nowhere, it returned as if nothing happened and said
[System activation completed]
Robin raised His middle finger to the air until he realized he was acting like a crazy person and if someone walk in on him right now, they would throw him directly to an insane asylum with all expenses paid…
Trying to calm himself down a little, he decided to ask something he was excited about "How do I use this system?"
[The system has two options, status that allows you to check your current attributes, Quests that grants you random quests and you can check their progress in it. To check your stats you can simply say this world in your head, as for the quests option, as was mentioned they are random they could be anything and they are giving whenever…]
"Is there a quest to destroy you?" Robin asked with a sunny smile on His mummified face making him appear really creepy when you add his sunken green eyes and pale face to the equation… or maybe multiply not add…
After all, he was really annoyed by the randomness of the quests given... However, this time the orb replied with a dignified voice that wiped away His smile
[Many tried, none survived, not their body, not their soul...]
Robin couldn't help but feel creeped out as he frowned and said "Are you cursing me or what?"
[Good luck with your new life young man] said the ancient voice ignoring his question before it completely disappeared
"Wait I still have many questions I want an answer for, I didn't even ask your name…" Robin had a disappointed look on his face as He looked at the empty air, for some reason missing this orb that granted him a second chance in life and he didn't even thank it properly yet…
So, receiving no response and after some hesitation, He heaved a long sigh in disappointment before he raised His head to the empty air and said "Thank you…"
However, to His surprise, a distant but familiar ancient voice replied directly inside His head "Karma"
Robin had a nasty thought when he heard this name and remembered the behavior of this orb 'So, your name is Karma huh, you are indeed a bitch, playing with my emotions like this…' but His lips shifted into a genuine smile, something that rarely appears on His usually lonely face…
------
After he was done with the goodbye, an excited expression appeared on his face as he couldn't wait to check out the system so he said in His head 'Status', and out of nowhere, a blue square screen appeared in His field of vision containing information about hi current body.
[Name: Yuki Chibana (Robin Peterson)]
[Strength: 0.4 (0.7)]
[Speed: 0.4 (0.7)]
[Vitality: 0.1 (0.6)]
[Soul: 1.8]
[Description: In an extremely weakened state even death wouldn't want to claim such a useless life]
'Well I guess I will be using the name Yuki Chibana for a while' Thought Robin as he saw the name written on the top of the system's stats panel with a complicated look…
However, he then read through the rest of the panel and his face twitched a little bit as he saw the first 3 trash stats. But then it brightened a little and felt relieved when he saw the soul stat that indicated 1.8 even though he didn't even though what benefit it had 'Well, at least my soul wasn't ruined by this trashy body'
However, His expression quickly crumbled when he read the description at the end "Why does it feel like the doing of that thing… tch, jokes aside though, the situation of this body is really bad, especially the vitality is really drained and he seems to be in a weakened state that's why the stats are written like that huh, I need to find a way to make a quick recovery as soon as possible"
'Did Karma or the system do something to this body to help it recover? Otherwise, there's no explanation why I would be alive right now. Still, I can't risk wasting too much time otherwise, I'm sure I will end up dead like the previous owner of this body' Robin started panicking at this thought but before he could even think deeper into this and without him realizing it, the first trouble of His life was already at his door. Literally!

Silverscale Paradise (A Yandere Harem Adventure)
Warning: This story contains R18 content and depicts sexual acts. Hey there, Mark Gregory here! This is the story of how I got sucked into the world of a trashy Harem manga that only lasted 12 chapters. I read it while I was high the night before and only vaguely remember anything about it....so yeah. No foresight. Also, it appears I am a brokenly powerful character, possibly the secret end boss, that was hiding in plain sight the whole time. - That is to say, the "Quiet Prince" student in their class. My new name is Zeneff Silverscale...can you guess what I am? If you guessed overpowered godlike dragon, then you are correct! The problem is...I don't want to be evil...and I don't know enough about the story to follow along...so what do I do? The Answer: Whatever the Fuck I want. I will also be posting this story on Scribble Hub

Chronicles of Rathia - The Era of Blood
Welcome to the Chronicles of Rathia. Contained within is a trilogy of stories which are all set in different time periods and with different characters. Each story has its own era from The Era of Blood, The Era of Magic and The Era of Demons. Read along the first in the series which is The Era of Blood where magic is still in an infant stage and where swords can dominate the battle field. In The Era of Blood, you follow along the first main character who had his memories wiped clean except for the most basic things in life. It is up to him to find out how to get his memories back and why they are gone. (If you don't like the story layout or characters, I suggest either just reading through or wait till the next one in the series is being released. With how it's set up, you can enjoy any of the three in the trilogy but of course reading in order will help give a better understanding of the world.) (Side authors note - I'm currently reworking the first several chapters as they are lacklustre to myself since they were originally a draft and not concrete at first. This note will stay here until all the chapters I wanted to fix up are done.)
