《Creating a world can't be that difficult, right?》Chapter 123

After the appearance of worldbuilding, humanity didn't take too long until they managed to create inventions related to it.
That has led to conspiracy theories appearing on the internet. Some talk about how the aliens are the inventors of worldbuilding, and all those inventions come from their advanced technology, or that the government has managed to plagiarize the ideas from the scientists' worlds.
But the truth couldn't be farther than that.
Since the appearance of worldbuilding, groups of scientists all around the world have focused their efforts on resolving the mysteries surrounding it.
After the creation of the Guild, a special group of investigators began to search and experiment with how the inner worlds could interact with the outside world. The members of this group are, at the same time, some of the most brilliant scientists in the world and high-ranking creators.
This group is called the "World Investigation Organization", or WOG, to abbreviate.
The rumors even say that some had a world with a rank so high that they wouldn't have any problem being professional worldbuilders.
From them, we got some inventions like the "world connectors": a device that allows us to record anything inside the inner worlds and show it on a screen in the outside world.
The technology used on those devices is so advanced that every other company that has tried to imitate them has failed, as they are unable to understand how they even work.
Even with all the mysteries and secrets surrounding the WOG, no one can deny that their work is of great help to humanity and that worldbuilding wouldn't be the same as it is right now.

"And the winner is... participant number 3!" said the referee as soon as the battle was over.

"Let's fucking go!" Axel said after hearing the results.
Hearing him, the other three participants couldn't help but look at him with disgust, but he didn't care.
"There are still combats to celebrate, so wait until the round is over and look at which is your next assigned table." the referee said.
"Ok, thanks for the information," Axel replied before leaving the place.
After distancing himself from the table, he took his phone out of his pocket before texting his friends.
"Where are you? Have you finished your battle?" Axel asked.
"I did. Let's meet at the entrance of the food area." William replied.
Following his instructions, Axel began to cross the convention before reaching where William had indicated. There he found him at a food stand, eating overpriced Japanese snacks.
"What are you doing?" Axel asked as soon as he saw him.
"I'm trying to ease my sorrows." He replied while putting several cookies in his mouth.
"What happened?"
"Those... those bastards. They teamed up against me because I'm a poor rank 2. Can you believe it? My mighty robot was crushed by a Neko maid, the carrier of the legendary sword Esculivur, and a man who used his armpit hairs to fight. How am I supposed to recover from that?" William cried.
"Well, sometimes life gives us challenges too big to overcome. You just need to stand up again and continue trying until you succeed." Axel said.
"That sounds like the phrase the hero of a low-budget fantasy show would say to his friends when they fail," William said while looking at Axel.
"You are right. That doesn't help at all. Let's focus on something good."
"Like what?"
"Like the fact that I managed to pass to the next round," Axel said while bursting into laughter.

"Really? Am I going to be the only one who didn't pass the first round?" William said.
"Well, we still don't know if Adam has managed to do it."
"Don't you know him? He is always so lucky that I bet you anything that he will pass the first round and probably the second without difficulties." William said
"Do you think?" Axel expressed his skepticism.
After saying that, a notification arrived on Axel's phone.
"Are you still there? I'm going that way. By the way, I won the first round, and the groups for the next rank had already been announced. It seems like our paths are about to cross, Axel." Adam wrote in his message.
After reading that, William looked at Axel with a smug face.
"Fuck my life," Axel whispered, as he realized that he was about to fight his friend.
