《Creating a world can't be that difficult, right?》Chapter 103

As soon as the snake's head touched the ground, its body dispersed into thin air, leaving behind just a few light specks.
"I expected it to take a few more hits before going down," Owald said surprised as the energy around his body entered his tattoos again.
"Me too. It had such powerful abilities that I expected it to be much more durable" Zack said as the energy around his body began to disperse into the air.
"How about you leave the talk for after we finish this battle? There are still tons of undead remaining." Ethan complained as he cast spells around the battlefield.
"Yeah, you are right. Let's end this as soon as possible." Zack replied while laughing.
With the snake dead, the remaining enemy army was composed of zombies, the undead dwarfs, and the wounded skeleton. Even so, the battle had started a few minutes ago, and a lot of undead had died already, so the situation was promising for the cultivators.
Most of the warriors were hurt, and some were heavily wounded, but at this point of the battle, they had managed to keep everyone alive in their groups.
Zack and Owald rejoined the frontlines again, battling with the undead dwarfs. With their help and the aid of the summoners' boar and black dragon, the battle became a piece of cake for them.
The skeleton managed to sneak inside the city walls again, and soon he appeared above the city's gate to continue casting its spells, but even with them, he didn't manage to change the course of the battle.
When the undead were about to be exterminated, the skeleton began to scream.
"Sesued sotidlam sosov soc sotcerid sovieradnam. Arac axes sov airotciv atse euq ed emierarugesa orep, atiol atse odahnag sederebah. Sodicanlam." he said while waving his staff in the air." Argen etsep!"

After those words, the skeleton's bones turned black before becoming dust.
This dust flew with the wind towards the cultivators. Seeing that, the Esvert began to throw spells toward the cloud of dust to destroy it and even though they managed to get rid of most of it, some ended up falling on some cultivators on the front line.
As soon as the dust touched them, it transformed into tiny worms that began to crawl through their bodies until they found any wound or orifice to enter the fighter's body.
What followed for those cultivators was a sense of cold running through their whole bodies before their muscles became stiff, causing them to fall to the ground. Once on the ground, their skin began to grow black pustules and they began to tremble.
"Something is happening to these guys! Get them to the Esvert so they can get treated!" Zack shouted as he realized what was happening.
As there were much fewer undead than before, some fighters were able to carry those sick to the Esvert without much of a problem.
When he saw that, Ethan neared one of those cultivators and began to inspect him. He was a Guburg cultivator, but not a strong one as he didn't have any tattoos on his body.
In no time, he began to suffer from a strong fever, and his eyes became white.
The first thing that Ethan did was apply some medicine to the many wounds the man had all over his body, making them cicatrice in a few seconds.
Next, he began to transfer life-energy to the man's body, which made him get better, but as soon as he stopped doing it, his condition returned to how it was before.
Looking around, he saw how his companions were doing the same thing as he was doing to the other affected people, but they were getting the same results as he had.

"He... he's healing!" exclaimed an Esvert.
Hearing that, Ethan ordered one of his men to tend his patient and went toward the man who had shouted. If they had discovered how to cure them, he needed to know how to cure them as soon as possible.
But as soon as he got near, he realized that it wasn't his subordinate who had cured that person. Instead, it was that person who had healed himself.
A tattoo was shining with dark light from one of the arms of the man while powerful corruption could be felt even from meters away. A few seconds later, the man opened his eyes and looked around, confused.
"Where am I? Weren't we fighting some undead?" he asked as he tried to understand what had happened.
"Do you think you can stand up?" Ethan asked as soon as he saw him conscious.
"Yeah, I think I can."
"Then stand up immediately, I need you to help me cure the other people," Ethan ordered.

Beast
A threat to the galaxy has come from another, and the Union of intelligent life will go to any length to stop it. Military Quarantine has held for hundreds of thousands of cycles. Traders, merchants, colonists, and Pirates live risky lives along the fringes as the politics from the inner systems fail to see the larger threats beyond their borders. A lone human finds himself far from home with no memories to how he arrived. A failing Trade vessel plays on a desperate gamble, while a malicious parasite searches for a suitable host. ............................................. Author's note: Beast is a story that I wrote a long, long time ago. Some of you might have read it then, back when it was posted on reddit over at r/HFY. It was my first webfiction and made in the spirit of that subreddit's "genre" of humanity being awesome. But, it is also a story that has bothered me a little bit. Just like most new writers tend to do, I made mistakes and errors that feel painful to reread. A Space Opera will be a Space Opera, but I had prose that makes present-me cringe. Still, at the same time, the story is still very much a tale I've never given up on. It was my first adventure into fiction: Beast was a crazy adventure with bodysnatching aliens, galactic war, threats from across the universe... Posting this story here is a way to try and redeem myself a bit. I won't call it a complete rewrite, because it's not, but I have wanted to go through and correct some of the major issues Beast has for a long time and put it somewhere more accessible to read (instead of as posts/comments on reddit) and I figure that now is as good a time as any. Additional corrections you might notice are welcome.
