《Creating a world can't be that difficult, right?》Chapter 10

When the match started, the computer’s screen showed a dead landscape.
There was no vegetation or animals of any kind. The floor was grey and had cracks all over the place. Some of those cracks were so deep that the spectators weren’t able to see the bottom. The sky was cloudy and very little sunlight illuminated the region, so it was hard to see the details of the scenery.
Those images filled the view shown on the screen until the land suddenly disappeared to meet an infinite void.
Suddenly, two lights appeared on opposite sides of the land. Those lights grew in size quickly, and as one of them stopped after reaching the height of a few tens of meters, the other continued growing until it was more than a kilometer tall.
When both of them stopped growing, the middle of these lights opened and became something similar to a portal. While in the smaller one, it could be seen how a golden army was becoming more and more numerous as time passed, on the opposite side, the head of a gigantic dragon could be seen trying to cross the portal.
After a few minutes that the army used to set a formation, the dragon finally crossed the portal and its whole body was finally visible.
Its body was covered in black scales, while on its wings it had what seemed to be golden runes that matched the color of its eyes.
While the army had a celestial aura with golden and white armor, the dragon appeared to come from the bottom of hell, so it looked like the kind of battle that you would see at the end of a novel.
"And that’s Treasa", William said. "Let’s see how long this battle lasts."
"Usually Cedric’s battles end before the third attack, but his rival has prepared a few add-ons and subs especially for this battle, so maybe we will see a little battle before they are destroyed," said Adam.

The battle began a few seconds after they said that, so Axel decided to stay quiet so he could pay attention to the battle.
The first thing that Treasa did when the battle began was spit flames from its mouth. The flames flew all across the region, making even the ground melt until they met the army, which was suddenly protected by an enormous white barrier that appeared around them.
If you looked closely, you could even see how inside the barrier, every soldier's armor was shining and their light was going to the barrier.
"It seems like that is one of the aces up his sleeve that Glader has prepared for today", said one of the commentators. "It looks like his army is using some kind of conjoined technique to fend off Treasa’s flames."
In the next few seconds, everyone could see how the barrier went from white to red before a red ray of energy shot toward the sky, making the barrier recover its original color.
"And that’s not all", said the other commentator. "The energy that Treasa’s attack contained is being absorbed by Glader’s army to be used against her."
As they said that, it could be seen how a ball of red light was growing in size above the golden army while feeding on the energy that the barrier provided, and after a few seconds, it began to morph to take the shape of a gigantic phoenix. When the phoenix stopped growing, it began to roar before flying at a high speed towards Treasa.
Even after growing that much, the phoenix was still much smaller than Treasa and didn't look like it was a real threat. Even so, she didn’t doubt it when it opened its mouth again, but this time instead of fire, what came out was what looked like a blizzard.

The ice and the snow collided with the phoenix, making it shrink to an even smaller size and lose some of its shininess before it could hit the dragon's belly with its beak before dissipating, creating a wound on Treasa’s body from which blood began to flow.
At that moment, the beast began to roar so hard, that it made the ground shake. The barrier that surrounded the celestial army wasn't less, and it began to vibrate for a few seconds before it broke into shards like a sheet of glass.
Suddenly, the runes on Treasa's wings turned from golden to crimson, and the blood that was coming out of its wound began to gather itself into the shape of a sphere. For a few seconds, the blood simply floated in front of the dragon, but suddenly it divided and created gigantic weapons made of blood that shot flying towards the army.
Without the protection from its barrier, the army could do little to block the attacks from the dragon, and casualties began to pile up between Glader’s troops, as each blood weapon reaped the lives of tens of soldiers.
When it seemed like it was over, a bright light covered the battlefield and a new barrier appeared around the army while his troops began to recover from their wounds at a really fast pace. It looked like Glader still had a chance.
But suddenly, the light in the whole area began to concentrate in Treasa's mouth, making everything dark. After a few seconds, a ray of pure light came out of the dragon's mouth and destroyed everything that was inside the barrier, creating a hole in the floor so deep that seeing the bottom was impossible.
"And the winner is... Cedric!" said one of the commentators when the white ray disappeared. "It's been a short battle, but we already know that Cedric doesn't have long battles, so Glader didn't make it that bad."
"Glader did it pretty well,", said the other commentator. "It’s the third time we see Treasa’s white ray, and we know that it's one of his most powerful attacks, so the fact that he used it leaves Glader in a good spot in the overall power ranking."
After the battle, the commentators began to talk and analyze the battle and the details that they could find.
"How the hell did someone create a creature like that?!" Axel thought. "I need to install my buy as soon as possible."
After that, he got up and left the room to go to the bathroom, where he would continue working in his world.

Mistbound: Eternity
The world is said to be formed out of duality of man. Good and evil, right and wrong, light and dark. And with duality, comes conflict. A meaningless clash of ideals results in pointless wars. Azlan is wanderer who doesn't falls in either category. Tired and done with the redundant world, he lives his secluded life, hunting monstrosites for coin in the crumbling province of Mountaliya, situated in the land of Forsa. The premise follows Azlan as he explores the province, experiencing the culture and its people as they try to stand unshaken amidst a cold and unforgiving world. The story is a dark fantasy that is a balance of action and world building but most importantly, it follows the people going about their daily lives. The world has entered a state of stasis, there are no high stakes, no glory to be had, only a decaying realm of ice remains. Everyone awaits for Heaven's descent, an event prophesied to bring the world out of stasis, by granting the champion of the event a wish. Heaven Shall Descend. I wanted to write a high fantasy story that doesn't focuses too much on Magic and Swordfights, but rather interactions between people, a bit of politics and ideals. This is my first attempt at writing something this huge, please let me know if you see mistakes or any problems in general, so I can learn from them. (The cover picture is from the year 1818, "Wanderer Above the Mist" by Caspar David Friedrich). I also write Short stories set in the same shared universe. 8 198The Card Thief of Culnivar
Deep with the cozy kingdom of Daeton, among the generation-old farmlands and villages, a young farmer’s daughter stumbles upon a dead man. His elaborate clothing has been torn to ribbons, yet his skin remains unblemished. His face is peaceful, and tucked into the hand lying across his chest can be seen a solitary playing card. He is a Ludum Haeres. The last remnant of a Summoner. Numbered among those few capable of changing their destinies. The unseen rulers of the world known as Vesperia, and one of the most powerful creatures in existence. The woman knows none of this. And so, she picks up the card... This is my third novel on Royal Road, the first being "Beyond the Horizon's Eye", and the second being "The Dawnfire Archives". This story is something of a test in a new genre, that of CardLIT. We'll see how well it succeeds as the story continues. It takes place in a different setting than my other tales, with an entirely new cast of characters. It does, however, contain several ties between the stories. Average post between 1000 - 3000 words.
