《10k Years Silent Cultivation》Carny's Last Suggestion

Inside of a guest room within the mage tower Koba, Angela, Caleb, and Cara were seated around a table. On the table there was a plate, and on that plate Talesser’s head.
Koba sat straight, and proud. He looked at Caleb, and then back at the head. Many thoughts filled his head about Caleb’s master.
Caleb was going through many thoughts about his master. Growing up he assumed that Talesser was some kind of unstoppable super being. Having met Gary… and his… idiosyncrasies, Caleb thought that perhaps wizards were human too. He still thought that now that he was stronger, but Gary was strange. His master just casually broke into the mage tower of a 500 year old well established mage king, and killed him. This was not normal, and would not be seen well by the rest of the continent. This means a lot of people at home have to die. Maybe even Cara, maybe Caleb. Many thoughts.
Cara, who was taller, stronger, and radiating a lot of heat, seemed focused on the head.
Angela sat in a relaxed pose watching the room.
Cara reaches out, and grabs the head. “This was the king?”
Caleb wakes up. “Huh? Ah, yea.”
The head begins to heat up, it starts to shrivel up until it vanishes.
Angela, and Koba exchange a look.
Angela sits up. “When can we meet Gary?” She leans in, and smiles.
Gary was now the undisputed ruler of Talesser’s Mage Kingdom. Soon to be renamed Gary’s Mage Kingdom.
Actually, Gary was disputed.
As soon as the old mage king was dead, a quarter of the dukes declared independence, half began supporting the claim of Duke Duke Silvetree, and the last quarter remained “neutral”.
Gary would now have to complete the arduous task of reuniting a fragmented nation. Worst of all, there was news that the neighboring Tersid Mage Kingdom was gathering an army to invade the fertile lands on the nation’s borders. Fortunately, the mountains around the mage kingdom protected it from any other nation’s attacks. There was much to do.

Gary could recruit an army from his mob. Not a very powerful one, but an army nonetheless. He also had access to a fully functional, undamaged mage tower. With its capability to make constructs out of various materials, Gary had the ability to create any kind of army he wanted. Gary set about designing his own constructs that weren’t the fleshbeasts, or dragonhounds. The mage tower required that he provide proof of identity to access the runes for these creatures. Gary doesn’t have time for copy protection bullshit!
He decides to make his OWN creatures! The tower was limited to two template's at a time, anyway.
The first creature Gary created was a sentient storm cloud that would act as a scout, and would also be capable of raining acid down on the enemy.
The second creature was a plant that mimicked the local flora, and secreted a toxin that inhibited one’s senses. Gary thought that these two designs would definitely be enough for him to win the coming war.
Gary armed his men with pikes, and rune-covered gas masks. A large army was spotted marching towards the capitol. The sentient clouds were proving quite useful. Gary now had ample time to prepare for the enemy’s attack.
He instructed his army to plant the toxic mimic plants around the area the enemy was approaching from. His men hid themselves in preparation for an ambush. The army of Duke Duke Silvertree was near.
Carnador was a semi-well respected scout belonging to the Silvertree’s army. He was an average looking, black haired dude. He was riding through a section of farmland. Making sure the way was clear for the Restorationists. As he rode through this slightly cloudy, calm chilled out day. Carny, that’s what he liked to be called, got the feeling that something was strange, but he didn’t know what.

As he rode He felt, and saw the wind. At first he mistook them for blades, but no, the wind was a blanket. It enveloped him as he rode, and kept him safe atop his horse. The sky went all disco crazy!
“Woah”
The sun started singing a song, he didn't remember the words. Which is funny because the song doesn’t exist yet. He hasn’t sung it!
“Pffft. HA HA HAHA HAHAHA!” He fell off of his horse, and bounced around. Boing! Boing! BOING!
He landed, and laughed into the cotton candy soil. He turned to the sky. A party for Carny! All of his old friends, and lovers. Nobody hated him, nobody was disappointed in him, nobody forgot him. They began blowing little kisses to him. He felt their love wearing away at his body.
A girl in a smiling mask blocked the love, and looked down on him. He began to say something.
Cara, wearing a gas mask, stood over Carny as he expired. The acid rain had finally taken him. She looked over to Caleb “Do the words ‘Geneva Convention’ mean anything to you?”
Caleb, who had gone to catch the horse for its satchel, looked at Cara and blinked.
The duke’s army was annihilated.
The duke himself was executed along with his followers. On him he had an artifact, a snowglobe that when activated created a field blocking all physical attacks. Silvertree likely hoped this, on top of the larger army, would make up the difference in realms between him, and Gary. The neutral dukes swore fealty to Gary, and half of the independent dukes rejoined the kingdom.
