《10k Years Silent Cultivation》Traveling

The world of Timor can be classified as a veritable garden world. Countless treasures, and pleasures dotted the landscape. If only there weren't so many vicious beasts out, and about ruining all the fun, and hoarding everything to themselves.
Fortunately for the inhabitants of the world, most of these beings aren't much more powerful than them. There's a delicate balance maintained between intelligent, and beastial beings.
Of course, this balance is maintained through near endless little conflicts between the two sides.
Hopefully, Gary won't have to face any such troubles.
Gary decided to pay for a ride with a caravan that was headed in Gary's direction.
In order for Gary to arrive at the island he first had to make it to the port city of Cal Evras. A formerly 'savage' city that had recently joined the Moonlit Summer Trade Union. As such, new competition temporarily leads to lower, and faster naval transportation from the city.
Gary carried a large backpack full of supplies, a dark blue cloak to better camouflage in the night, and a rusty dagger he had been loaned. On the way, he kept to himself, and walked at an abnormally fast pace.
The caravan was headed south west. They would be stopping at Rohmont keep, a city that was formerly a keep guarding a major mountainous choke point between the north, and south side of the Lossun continent. It was a landmass shaped sort of like a man stretching on a rock. Due to the peace, and unity brought by the Immortal Sunset Empires conquest, the keep eventually became a major center for land based trade. Gary needed to head dead south to the arm, where Cal Evras was located. Gary would part ways with the caravan at the city, and start heading south-east.
The area Gary has to travel in reaching Rohmont Keep is mostly farm, or grassland. Beyond that, from the city to the port, The area is mostly woodland largely inhabited by various intelligent beasts, and a few enclaves of various sects.

One fine misty morning the caravan was set upon by bandits. How unlucky.
Gary had been fortunate enough to have been pissing just out of sight when they struck. Gary snuck away quietly, and stepped on a twig. One of the bandits noticed him, and grabbed one of his friends to chase after poor old Gary.
Needless to say, Gary was scared shitless.
Gary took flight, and flew surprisingly far, before running out of stamina and collapsing. Gary would need to undergo proper training soon. The bandits stumbled closer to Gary.
Just as they are about to dispose of Gary, a flying sentient spoon pierces through both of them, saving Gary from such a pathetic end.
The spoon was apparently in the military, and was on patrol nearby. He'd saved the caravan, and dear old Gary's little life. Marvelous.
The rest of the journey to the keep doesn't take too long. Gary declines to enter the city.
"I don't have time to explore right now." Gary thought.
Gary was now on his own the rest of the way.
He'd been given a map, and a compass. They had been...mildly useful in orienting Gary in the right direction. He'd often ended in places he didn't want to be because of his lack of expertise in reading a map. He'd fallen in nearly every pond, swamp, lake, or bog he encountered. If there was any water to be found within 10 meters of Gary, it would somehow mystically end up all over his clothes. At certain points along his journey his cloak was approximately 80 % mud. Oh Gary, do learn to take care of yourself outside now will you?
Whilst attempting to find his way in a trance-like state, Gary stumbled into a bear.
Not just any bear. A Giant Fuck-Off Bear. Very deadly.

The Edgars
A serial killer is wreaking havoc in a small European village, and Charles Edgar believes his estranged brother to be the culprit. But little does he know that a much darker truth lies behind the bloodshed; one that will bring betrayal and destruction to the entire Edgar lineage. (This is a one-act play. A (beat) indicates a pause in the dialogue.) Also, please feel free to rip this story apart in the reviews (if you're so inclined). I really want to improve as a writer, so any criticisms are more than welcomed.

Another Day
New day shall come, again and again. Some will see it, some won't. And that is what I have been telling myself for quite some time... One more day. Just one more day. 18+ Extreme profanity, violence and gore. Size of chapters grow a 'bit'. [Chapter 4 - 2000 words.] [Chapter 20 - 15000 words.] This project was caused by huge amount of fantasy stories I have read on royalroad, and the issues I had, and still have with them. Don't like, make your own. Right? Anyway, please read the tags carefully, each one of them is there for a reason. This is my first story so don't expect too much.
