《The Bartender at the End of the Universe》Ch 198: Going Exactly as Planned

Abraham saw the gathering and grinned. A spark twinkled in his eyes as he cracked his knuckles and rolled his neck around.
Azrail was surrounded by scores of monstrous creatures. "I wish you could have been more forthcoming with me stranger," he said to the smiling man, "but with so many souls crying out to me, how could I deny all of them?"
The smiling man bared his teeth and his grin looked predatory as an air of maliciousness seemed to surround him. But then, it vanished and was replaced with a lighthearted smile as he shrugged. "My, my, I didn't think you'd start this off so quickly. But there's no going back now."
Azrail had a look like he was in mourning at a funeral, while the smiling man seemed as giddy as a kid with his parent's credit card in a candy store.
Azrail took a step forward and shook his head. "So much sorrow. So much longing. I must answer the call." He reached his hand out towards the smiling man, but a muscular hand twice the size of his grabbed his wrist.
"Blah blah blah," a deep, woman's voice yammered. "No need to excuse it. If you want a fight, you want a fight. Now let's really get things started!"
Azrail looked puzzled as he stared at the hand on his wrist. Like he couldn't believe it was actually there. The next moment, he was yanked forward, and another fist slammed into his chest. His wrist was released, and he was sent flying through the air. The crowd of people parted as he flew through them. Finally, he tumbled along the ground and came to a stop.
The person who hit him was a massive woman. Covered in muscles and almost eight feet tall. With horns on her head and the lower body of a cow, with hooves and hair covering her. She grinned as she slammed her fist into her hand. "Time to really start this party!" her voice echoed out over everyone.

Will looked over from the food table as he held a pair of tongs in his hand. He shook his head and let out a sigh as he smiled. "Oh, that Mina. Couldn't stand to just sit and relax, could she?"
"Huh?" Harold asked as he wiped the sweat from his brow with an off-white handkerchief. "What's going...Goodness gracious!"
Harold and Will ducked as a giant crocodile flew in the air just overhead of them.
The crowd that had gathered had turned into an all-out brawl. Limbs of all kinds were flying around. Punching, clawing, gnashing, thrashing, and everything you can think of. Standing above them on a half-constructed wall was the smiling man. He was looking down at the chaos and laughing coldly.
"Yep, seems to happen every time there's a get together," Will chuckled like a tired parent.
"Will!" Stoor stooped down towards the pair of men and wiggled his tendrils. "They've started another fight. Want me to carry you over so you can join quicker?"
Will held his hand up and shook his head. "I think I'll sit out of this one."
"What? But you always seem to miss them, and they're so much fun!" The giant worm paused a moment and then nodded. "I know, what if I give you my strategy for how to dodge every attack thrown at you with ease?"
"Oh yeah? How does that work?" Will asked as he rolled his eyes with a smile still on his face.
"You just have to predict the punchline!" he laughed as a tendril prodded Will's shoulder.
"Wait," Harold said as he seemed to take in the situation. "There's a fight? That's completely inappropriate! I better put a stop to this at once."

"Charee charee charee!" laughed Stoor. "Well, if you want to try, I won't stop you. Just don't come crawling to me when you're...de-feet-ed!"
The joke flew over Harold's head, though he did take a second glance at the ensuing chaos. "Well...maybe it would be best if I waited for them to tire themselves out...it's good for children to be physically active after all. Even if I disapprove of them methods."
"Alright, well, I'm gonna join in even if you two spoilsports won't." Stoor said before he turned and rushed towards the chaotic fighting.
"You're pretty fast," Abraham choked out with a smirk as Mina's hand crushed his throat.
"You haven't seen anything yet," she grinned before she tossed the holy man into the air. She got down on her hands and pulled in her legs, then delivered a devastating mule kick right into Abraham's chest.
There was a squelching sound as he was flung through several creatures until he landed up against a seven-armed lizard man.
Azrail was holding the headless corpse of a fresh body before he dropped them unceremoniously. "There isn't even any time to mourn. So tragic. Just like when I..."
A man that appeared to be made out of metal interrupted him by throwing a punch at his head. However, Azrail spun around to dodge the blow and grabbed the man's wrist and throat. With ease, he spun the metal man to the ground as his smoke started to rise up from where his hand touched the man's throat.
"Rest now. Your suffering is nearly over."

Dog Days in a Leashed World
Life is not easy at the bottom of the food chain. And in the Kingdoms of Magica, the absolute bottom belongs without question to the puppy-like lowbie zone trash known as mongrels. Because after all: What's the point of a mob that no one can be bothered to hunt, in a zone utterly lacking in reasons to visit, in a game that was already the height of trash fantasy nonsense? Well it may not be much, but it's their life, dammit. And if Shh, the mongrel bearing the questionable distinction of smartest pup in his pack, has anything to say about it, they won't be on the bottom forever.
