《The Bartender at the End of the Universe》Ch 166: The Undying Army of Two

Oil dripped to the ground from the edge of the knife handle. The muscular robot tenderly touched the blade that protruded from its stomach.
It was surrounded by countless other knives in the ceiling, floor, walls, and even in the barely twitching form of the robot that was little more than just a humanoid frame.
He seemed to show no care for his apparently dying ally. He didn't even seem bothered by his pierced chest. No, it was more like a curiosity that drove his fingers.
As another knife flew for his face, he lifted his arm, and grabbed the handle as the blade sat an inch from his face. He turned the knife around in his hand, and then lifted his face to look down the hallway where the knife had come from.
It was empty.
He stumbled forward as a knife thrust through his back, just between his spine and shoulder blade.
"Couldn't you react a little for me cutie?" Pockets voice was dripping with sadism as she twisted the blade deeper into his back.
Silence was his reply. Then, the muscles on his back flexed, and the blade in her hand shattered into dust. He spun around faster than an eye could track and slashed with the knife in his hand.
The blade slashed through flesh and bone, but it wasn't Pockets. She had disappeared and left behind a pig. The pig had similar makeup to hers, and a wig that was somewhat reminiscent of her bright red hair.
The dead animal landed on the ground with two distinct thuds as the smell of hotdogs rose in the air.
The muscular robot ducked as Pockets leaped off of the wall to his side and tried to thrust into his ribs with a filet knife.
While on the ground, he grabbed the hollow arm of his companion, and with the knife in his hand, severed his arm at the shoulder.

He grabbed one of the tubes that was coming off of his face, and he ripped it from his back. He shoved it into the side of the severed arm, and a low hum began to rise from the severed limb.
The hallway to both sides of him appeared empty. He turned the canon down one side and fired it anyway.
Sentenza turned to the side and held his arm up over his face as the blast tore through the fake image of an empty hallway Pockets had put up. Luckily enough he was still behind a corner, but the blast still left a few scorch marks on his duster.
"Just use some of that blasted magic will you!" Sentenza hissed.
"I've tried to explain that to you!" Og'drimun snapped as he hid behind an extra-large piece of rubble. "It's not that simple! Crafting that one bullet took days of work, and almost destroyed this entire world several times."
"Then just do that again and focus a bit less." Sentenza said grumpily as he popped out from behind the corner with a gun in each hand.
The knife in the robot's hand shattered. The tube that connected him to the severed limb of his ally was torn to shreds. The knife in his stomach was pushed completely through him. Every hose coming from his face now had a hole in it.
Sentenza never stopped moving. He popped out and opened fire as he kept moving across to the other corner at the intersection of the hallways. Each bullet had a clear target and did what should have been impossible twelve times over.
"Don't control it...don't control it..." Og'drimun chanted as sweat poured from his brow.
The robot stumbled forward as a bowie knife slid from the back of his head and out the front. Before he could fall, Pockets grabbed him by his waist with one hand, while the other held tight onto the blade's handle.

Slowly, she pulled the knife back out as her eyes rolled back in her head. "You know...despite being quiet, you're not half bad."
The robot couldn't move his head. It stood there in shreds until she finally popped the knife all the way out. His head went back slightly before leaning forward again. If she hadn't been holding onto him, he definitely would have collapsed.
Her gloved fingers rolled over the knife handle as she held it just above his back, where his heart would have been if he was human.
Pockets licked her lips as she started to slowly puncture through his robotic flesh. But then, an impressive blast hit her square in the gut, and sent her flying back down the hallway.
She tore through another false wall and let out a small groan before she seemed to collapse fully onto the ground.
The robot pulled the severed canon away from his stomach. There was now a hole completely through him, as he had fired the weapon into himself to knock her away.
His featureless face shook slightly as it lifted up towards where Sentenza and Og'drimun were. He threw the arm backwards, and a scrawny hand raised up to catch it.
The other machine struggled to lift itself off of the ground as it held its missing arm. The wires near its shoulder squirmed around like tentacles as it held its arm back where it was supposed to be.
The wires quickly rebound the arm into place, and with his other arm he grabbed ahold of where it had been cut. His arm turned red hot, and quickly resealed the limb into place.
"You know, it's frustrating to fight stuff that can just choose not to die." Sentenza grumbled as he reloaded his two pistols. As he finished, he held both guns up and scowled. "But there's always a way to put someone in the ground."
