A splash of sparks and a black inky smoke poured out of a thrashing tendril. Nugget dodged the shining metal arm as it slammed into the ground next to her. She strained her neck up as she looked at the orb that now had three tentacles thrashing around it. All of them spewed smoke and sparks as they flung around.

"Bakaw," Nugget cooed as she stepped to the side and avoided the tentacle as it slammed into the ground where she had just been standing.

She was surrounded by similar marks on the ground. But, her eye twitched as it followed along with the nearest tendril's movements. In a flash, she leaped up towards it. As she lifted into the air, a slow hissing noise started to ring out.

However, thr noise was softer than before. And as Nugget danced along the waving tentacle, she seemed to be having much less trouble than before. As the hissing grew sharper she weaved around seemingly effortlessly. As the feathers on her left wing ruffled, she slid to the right. As any of her feathers ruffled in the wind, she dashed the opposite way.

Finally, she came onto the orb itself. Bursts of air were spraying out of it sporadically, and to keep from being hit, she had to constantly dance around the orb. Carefully, she pressed her talons into various cracks and crevices. All while avoiding the violent bursts.

Nugget opened her mouth and panted as she focused on her task. The air started to burst out of the orb in faster and faster streams. The area around the orb started to heat up more and more as time went on. There was no going back, she would have to finish this here and now. Or she would die trying.
