《The Bartender at the End of the Universe》Ch 79: Swimsuit Edition

"Where in Sam Hill are we?"
Nice to see you're finally awake bro.
Sentenza looked down and nearly jumped back. Ted wasn't surprised. His arm was in a sling after all, and probably more shocking was that he was only wearing bright orange shorts. His guns weren't even on him, and his eyes sprang around looking in every direction they could.
Sid walked over towards him. He was in an old-fashioned men's swimsuit, with red striped shirt and shorts matching pair. He reached down and picked Sentenza up by his shoulders.
"This was quite the surprise for most of us. Although, it is acceptable as a break considering what we have recently overcome." Sid explained.
"Overcome? Then, is he dead?" Sentenza asked as his eyes scanned Sid up and down.
Sid shook his head. "No one saw him perish, but the effects he brought down upon us have dissipated, along with charred remains left behind."
"So, he could still be out there?" Sentenza growled.
Sid shrugged. "That is a possibility, yes."
Death slapped Sentenza's back. Like relax bro and take a look around. This is paradise.
Ted was sitting on a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles towel while the two of them talked with Sentenza. Death was wearing bright blue thong with a pattern of flaming skulls all over it. He turned his eyes away as they placated Sentenza. Narissa was lying under an umbrella with Og'drimun sprawled out on a miniature fabric folding chair beside her. Narissa had an exceptionally wide brim white hat with long white gloves, and a white two-piece swimsuit. She had giant glasses covering most of her face too, while Og'drimun matched Death with his bright red speedo.
"Can't believe those two actually put all this together," Lulu said as she bent over to look down at Ted. She was in an odd one-piece swimsuit with frills going down most of it, like a series of miniature skirts all along the outfit.

"Yeah, seems like a lot of work." Ted agreed as he looked down at his loose, purple swimming trunks that almost went down to his knees.
"And didn't even think about how to make some money off of it? Really can't understand that." Lulu shrugged. She looked up at the silent lightning in the clouds and added, "So, no sun around here, huh?"
Ted looked up as well. He hadn't realized just how much he had missed the strange sky. "Yep. There's some ball of light over the edge, but just lightning up above us."
"Bakaw." Nugget strolled up in an itsy-bitsy yellow polka dot bikini.
She climbed onto Ted's lap and sat down. As her feet touched his skin, Ted nearly jumped in surprise, but managed to catch himself as she settled in on his lap. He looked out at the others who were running around the new beach. Out in the makeshift lake was the strange abomination of mostly mouth floating around with barrels still sticking out of its jaw. The hollow king was in some strange leotard thong combo. Trizel had a tight suit that would barely count as shorts and not some kind of banana hammock. Bakade was out in the water with them. She was in a one piece in name only. It was really a two-piece black swimsuit, with different strands of fabric connecting the two pieces; and her right hand was wrapped into a sort of mitten with an excess amount of fabric. The three of them were hitting around an oversized beach ball as they stood in the water.
Ted took in a deep breath. He could swear that he could even smell a salty sea breeze as it blew by. He smiled a little. Even though he had lived on the coast his entire life, he hardly ever got around to any beaches. And this, well this was nice.

"...ice-cream."
"I'm sorry, what?" Ted suddenly realized Lulu had been talking while he spaced out.
"Ah, it's nothing. Just wondered how well ice-cream would do out here." Suddenly, a mischievous smirk spread across Lulu's face as she sat herself down on Ted's towel. "So, Ted?'
"Uh...yes?" Ted tried to keep out of her way, but with each movement, Nugget seemed to get irritated.
"Whose swimsuit do you like best?"
Ted stammered, but she didn't relent.
"First, best overall, then best of the men, and then best of the women."

Kill the Harem
I was never a person who struggled with anything. Whatever I wanted to achieve, I achieved, except for finding a good reason for living. That was until I died. Perhaps it was karma, or perhaps it was some particularly sick god. I woke up in a world full of magic and encountered all these women who became romantically obsessed with me. It bears an uncanny resemblance to those garbage isekai series that I had the misfortune of reading in high school. The problem is, I loathe isekai. It got to the point where ever time I read about a busty elf-girl wanting to follow the protagonist, I wanted to throw something. It's illogical and it ruins the flow of the story. But now, I'm the one getting harassed by such illogical people? What complete and utter drivel. If any obsessive crazy person tries to make me theirs without even caring about my opinion, I'll f*cking kill them! I'll kill them all! I'm getting back home no matter what. My favorite manga hasn't finished yet and I want to read it to the end. Q&A Section Q: Is the protagonist mentally healthy? A: No, not even close. Q: Are all the female characters stupid? A: Barring extenuating circumstances, nobody rational would fall for a guy like the protagonist, so there's a bit of selection bias going on here. Q: Is this about a Gary Stu killing a bunch of irrational harem characters in a cliche isekai world? A: Go reread the title and the synopsis. Q: Do the women die because they won't sleep with the protagonist? A: No. I'm not sure where anyone got that from since it's entirely the opposite of what happens.
