• Valencia: Quintessence

Many places have now adopted the name magicka for magical energy due to the Order's growing involvement with other countries outside of Vitae.

The term for magical energy changed in Vitaen influenced countries due to the rising of the Order of Mages; an organization that was started to protect the use of magic and its users after the Crusades, a holy war where non-sanctioned magic was outlawed and any practitioners were hunted in the Vitaen Empire and its colonies.

Vitae, the heartland of the Vitaen Empire, started wars with Qyrazael, Cyros, and Caedo' Maar.

The name for magical energy was changed in many a country to remove its religious connotations to prevent anything like the Crusades from happening again. Yet again, the name has shifted from magicka to mana. It is easier to write and uses less ink. The name magicka is still used in official texts and documents, but the term mana is used more in teaching and day-to-day magic. The name mana itself comes from the origins of magic - Shamanism. Early human ancestors called magical energy "mana" or power that is divine in origin.
