《Creation - The Path of a God》Chapter 11 (Book 2 - Zombie World)

Looking out the window, Han observed the Star and Moon Studio property and seeing all the various buildings. Their room was at the top of the tower, allowing a nearly panoramic view of the campus. Each of the different structures was styled differently as if they had a particular purpose to them. He enjoyed looking at the one that looked like it was grown from various trees coming together. It gave an image of being a part of nature, the way the gardens elegantly merged with the structure. Even with the interweaving vines seeming to reach towards the heavens, with windows that didn't detract from the natural feeling. Another building was arched over the artificial river that flowed through the property. Instead of being a bridge, it had curved walls and tall towers looking like a castle from a fantasy world. Off in the distance, there were more themed sites as if they were their own different worlds.
Between the buildings were winding paths that would go through gardens, grassy fields, bridge over the river, and past small kiosks. Even though it was still early in the day, many people were walking around. From as high up as the room was, Han could see the people wearing varying costumes, likely of their favorite characters. People seemed to walk in small groups, reminding him of when he had gone to conventions on Earth.
"Where do you think we should go first?" Jennifer spoke out, pulling him out from his thoughts.
The sound of a refrigerator being open could be heard in the kitchen. "I can't believe how relaxing this room is. After waking up, I don't need to prepare any breakfast and can relax." His mother's voice could be heard. She came out from the full-sized kitchen with a smoothie bottle in her hand.
"You work too hard, mom," Han said to her, smiling after seeing his mother enjoying her time.
"I still don't get why there's a kitchen inside of this room," Jennifer said.
"Scarlett told us that the kitchen was for those hosting a dinner party, so there would need to be a chef and cooks to prepare the meal," Han explained to her.
His mother smiled at the thought, "Even though I enjoy cooking, I think I would enjoy having someone else prepare the meal."
"Remember that we'll be able to dine at any of the restaurants for free, during our time here. Unless we really wanted to, there doesn't seem much need to do that. I think that option is for those who own large businesses who need a place where they can talk about private matters." Han thought out loud.
A knock at the door made the three of them look toward the door, wondering who it was that was knocking. Han walked over to the door, and upon opening, he saw red hair and Scarlett's alluring face.
"Good morning, Han, I hope that all of you had a restful night?" She asked him with a smile.
Han fully opened the door to indicate that she could enter, and allow for his sister and mom to see who it was that was knocking on the door.
Scarlett entered the room and smiled at Han's family, saying, "Good morning. Did the three of you have a good night sleep and enjoy the accommodations?"
"Yes, the room is really astounding and something none of us are used to," his mother responded.
"Yeah! I felt like a princess in this room, having such a large bedroom that had such a large bed in it. Staying in this type of room every day would be pretty nice." Jennifer said, a big smile on her face as she recounted the experience.

"Um... Do you know if my friends are here yet?" Han asked Scarlett.
Turning towards him, she lifted her hand which was holding a thick looking device. Cradling the device, Scarlett tapped her fingers on it and then looked at him, saying, "Your friends are scheduled to meet the three of you for breakfast."
"That looks like the device that's on Star Journey!" His mom pointed at the thick tablet in Scarlett's hand.
Seeing the way his mother had reacted to the tech she was using, Scarlett giggled. "Mrs. Peterson, you are truly a fan of the show. Yes, this device is the same as the one used in the show."
"I can't believe that you guys have something like that. I thought that computers were bulky, like the one we have at our home?" His mother looked slightly confused.
Scarlett nodded her head, understanding the confusion. "Many of the props used in our various shows are often things that we have created." Holding up the tablet, she continued, "As you can see, this device is used as a portable computer, making it look very futuristic and a perfect fit for the show."
"That's so cool!" Jennifer said her eyes wide open as she looked at the device. Though she wasn't a big fan of the show, their mom watched, seeing a futuristic device was pretty impressive.
"We will be displaying many of the products during this week, and you'll have a chance to test out the tech we developed as VIP guests," Scarlett gave them a grin.
-----
As they were heading towards the ground floor, where the breakfast would be served, his mother was asking Scarlett many questions. One of the big questions was whether they had a functional spaceship.
"Unfortunately, even a spaceship is out of our abilities," Scarlett chuckled.
There was a chime, and the doors to the elevator opened, showing them the ground floor. When they stepped out, they were back in the same lobby they were when they first came into the building. The number of people was still the same, but due to being VIPs they were able to enjoy a unique walkway that was cordoned off. A series of staggered glass sheets helped to divide the area, while still allowing a feeling of being connected to the rest of the floor.
Walking through the ground floor of the building, they headed into a hallway that went outside of the main building while still giving the feeling of being inside.
"As you can see, this hallway was designed to allow a feeling of being outside with the turning glass wall on either side. When the weather is appropriate, the walls are turned ninety degrees to allow the air to flow through." Scarlett explained to them as they walked.
"But not all of them seem to connect to the other," Jennifer commented looking confused.
"You're correct with noticing that. Every other glass wall lowers down to encourage the natural experience. This hallway is designed in a way that the glass walls are not load bearing, so all of them could be removed, and the ceiling would not be affected." Scarlett pointed at the ceiling.
Han was impressed with what they were able to do, turning conventional wisdom for building design on its head. "I'm surprised that other companies haven't started to use your architectural designs into their own projects?"
Scarlett looked at him and smiled. "I would be surprised if they were able to, considering the techniques we are using are rather advanced."

Near the end of the hallway, they saw a double door with two women on either side. As they approached the end of the hall, both women opened the doors and then bowed to them, allowing the four of them to enter the inner area.
Going into the room, they were greeted with seeing several smaller tables scattered throughout. On either side of the door, there were long curved tables with a variety of food being displayed. The entire place was circular and similar to the hallway with how they had a nearly panoramic view of their surroundings.
Looking around, Han noticed several people already waiting at one of the larger tables. Several of them were waving their hands at Han trying to get his attention.
"Darling, over here!" Ruby called out to him, with Ivy next to her.
Claire, Hannah, and Alex were grouped together and smiled at seeing him walk in. Alex waved over to him and pointed at the food in front of him with a massive grin on his face. Some of his teammates were at a different table due to the seat limitation, but they greeted him enthusiastically. Several of them had eggs and sausages stuffed in their mouth as they called out to him.
Han nodded his head to his teammates and let them get back to shoveling food into their mouths. As football players, it was natural for them to have significant appetites and to be in such a situation was great for them. Just looking at the food, he could tell that the dishes were top level.
Seeing that the main table was already filled with people, Han walked to a nearby table and grabbed a seat. His mom and Jennifer followed his lead and sat down on either side of him.
"We have a large selection of dishes. Would you like for us to prepare a dish for the three of you?" Scarlett asked them once they sat down.
"You guys will bring the food to us, even though it's a buffet?" His mom asked.
Scarlett smiled at his mom and nodded her head, "Yes. This is a service for many of the restaurants we have on our campus, especially the higher tiered ones. We feel that being able to enjoy talking with the people you arrive with is more important than using it to grab food. Not just with the servers in our restaurants, Star and Moon studio has followed through with this philosophy by having numerous staff members position throughout the campus to help our guests."
"They were really great at helping us out," Claire turned around in her seat and said to Han. "The person who was assigned to us has told us a lot about this place and also what we can expect during the day." She pointed to a black-haired woman standing close by.
Han turned around and noticed the woman that Claire was indicating in her words. He saw that she was in a similar uniform as Scarlett was wearing, though she came across as a cool beauty instead of Scarlett's wild appearance.
"Thank you, for your kind words. We try to provide a comfortable experience for everyone that comes to our campus." The woman Claire pointed to said. Turning her head to Han, she smiled and introduced herself, "My name is Raven, and though I may be assigned to a separate group, I hope you'll feel comfortable with asking me any question you may have."
"I really appreciate your dedication," Han said, smiling at her.
"It is only natural," She answered, returning his smile and bowing her head.
"Do you think we could get a sample of the different dishes available?" His mother asked Scarlett after the introductions were made.
Scarlett nodded her head and walked over to the tables and talked to one of the many servers standing there. Her arms moved to indicate that she was telling them to prepare a plate to his mom's specification. She stood by the table and watched as the servers made the dishes and slowly brought them over to Han and his family's table.
The three of them looked at the food and smiled to one another. There were already three plates with various breakfast and brunch dishes, such as eggs, sausages, stuffed lobster, eggs benedict, king crab legs, and more. Han reached out to one of the crab legs and enjoyed the satisfying sound of the shell being cracked open, the juice being sprayed out.
Jennifer and his mom grabbed an extra dish and began placing items on their respective plates.
"Maybe I can ask someone for the recipe for this dish?" his mom thought out loud, after tasting one of the items.
"We do offer cooking classes taught by several of our top chefs on campus," Scarlett informed his mother.
Han enjoyed the taste of the food as he listened to his mom talk with Scarlett about the various things they teach and the price for the class. Though he was used to eating high-quality food from his time before his reincarnation, it was still enjoyable to try out the dishes.
"Where do you think we should go after this?" Claire asked Han after he finished eating.
"I haven't really checked the schedule, though my sister has. Is there a place that you guys think would be fun checking out together or should we break up into smaller groups?" Han said.
"Could we go with you?" Ivy asked him, with Ruby nodding her head in agreement.
"Sure. Let me know if you guys are interested in anything." He repeated to them.
"Claire and I are thinking of going taking the subway and checking out their medical area," Hannah said.
"Yeah! They have an area where they talk about their medical branch of the company. To help out, Star and Moon Studio created several shows and cartoons that supposedly has the devices used in the show that actually work. I want to check it out and then tell my dad about it." Claire looked excited about the trip.
Han looked over at the woman named Raven, who said, "Star and Moon International has a wide range of industries it's tapped into, and so there is a branch dedicated to medical technology."
"What type of things are you guys looking into with medical technology?" Han asked.
"We have developed numerous scanners, automated procedures, and diagnostic tools to help doctors in improving diagnosis and treatment for patients. There is a new technology that we have developed that will be unveiled that'll impress people. It's based on a theory with cells in our bodies, which we published in various medical journals. Our tests were very promising, and we are leading the way in this new technology along with a few other companies." Scarlett explained. "I've had the opportunity of working in that branch for several years, so my knowledge is slightly higher than Raven's."
"I'm sure that all of you will find the unveiling to be very interesting, considering how much of a competitive field this is," Raven nodded her head at Scarlett's words and said to the rest of them.
"That's near the end of the week, so we still have plenty of time to look at everything," Claire said to Han, obviously enjoying the idea of viewing cutting-edge medical technology. "My dad is going to be so jealous that I get to see this before he does! I can't wait to tell him when I get back."
"You're going with them, Alex?" Han asked his friend, who was talking with Hannah.
Looking over towards Han, Alex said, "Yeah. They want to check out some of the shows in the drama section of the campus. I guess there's an actor and actress that'll be giving advice and answering questions?" He shrugged at the idea but seemed to be interested in it.
Nodding his head, Han looked over at his teammates. "What are you guys planning on doing?"
"There's a sports medicine area nearby where they're going, so we're thinking about tagging along with them and splitting off. They have a simulation area, where you can train on a high-tech football field. Maybe they'll have something the coaches can get for us or at least the high school could." Lily explained, indicating towards Claire, Hannah, and Alex. Many of the guys were nodding their heads in interest.
"They even have a cheerleading team that we can take pictures with," Sam said, winking at the hidden meaning of checking out the cheerleaders.
Han laughed at his teammate, saying, "Don't get yourself kicked out of the campus."
"Are you interested in going over to the sci-fi building, they have several displays of the various shows and I want to look at the things they have on Star Journey," his mother asked him.
Jennifer nodded her head, and said, "I want to see if we can use the devices, like the tablet that Scarlett is holding." After thinking for a few moments, she added, "I also want to check out the sports area and see if they have anything for basketball. Maybe I can improve my three-point and free throw shots?"
Listening to their ideas, Han looked over at Ivy and Ruby and said, "Just let me know if there's anything the two of you are interested in. This place is pretty large, and we have a week, so there's plenty of opportunity for checking out something you guys think is cool."
"We know," Ivy said, smiling at him. It seemed like him thinking about their interest made the two of them happy.
Seeing everyone figuring out what they wanted to do, Scarlett addressed the group. "With everyone here splitting off into smaller groups, we will make sure that each group has someone like myself or Raven traveling with them. This will help to coordinate with one another, and whenever you're interested in the many benefits you're afforded to as VIP, we can assist." Looking over to Raven, she signaled for Raven to continue.
"As many of you already know, the campus has a very encompassing subway system. Though you can walk to your destination, this service, which is free to all, will help in cutting down on traveling time." Raven explained.
Scarlett and Raven placed themselves near the entrance into the room, and Scarlett said, "I hope you guys are looking forward to the many wonderful things we have waiting for you."
