-------------------------
Rays from the rising sun fell on his face, waking him up from his peaceful slumber. Looking up at the unfamiliar ceiling, Han understood that he was at his house located within Academic City.
Waking himself up brought memories of that night, where the girls were crying as he lovingly held them. With such an emotional event the night was later filled with passion as they seemed to merge into one, the sounds of moaning, feeling of skin rubbing against each other, and the smell of love lingering in the air.
It had been several days since they shared that moment, getting closer to one another. The days since had been somewhat busy, as he had to find out various information and picked up supplies for the classes.
Looking towards the sound of breathing, he saw the sleeping figures of Helania, Queen and Brittany recovering from the night before, looking relaxed and content.
Ever since that night, the three of them started to sleep in his bed. Taking turns cuddling up to him, the third one usually grumbling about feeling left out. It was flattering to see such actions, beautiful women going through various means to see who was not able to sleep up against him.
Leaning over to Brittany, who was next to him, he brushed his lips against her shoulder, trying not to wake her. With a mumble, Brittany looked adorable as she turned her head into the pillow and continued to sleep. Han had no choice but to smile seeing her reaction.
Though many would think him to be an emotional person, the moment of waking up and seeing a beautiful woman lying next to him always made him happy. He remembered, as a kid, watching romance animes or mangas, where this would happen and fantasized about being able to experience such a scene.
Crawling forward towards the edge of the bed, he was careful not waking up the girls. Near the entrance to his room, there was another room, off to the side, for his clothes.
This area couldn’t be called a closet due to how huge it was, even having mirrors on one corner of the room so he could see from various angles. One of the walls had a walk-in closet feel where outfits could be placed, though, currently, there was only one outfit hanging on the rack.
The outfit was neat and tidy looking, nearly completely white with a decorative shoulder covering on the outer coat. The covering was a nice design composed of black and blue lines and symbols. In addition to the coat were a shirt, pants, belt, and shoes.
Taking the outfit off of the hangar, Han started to put them on to make sure that everything was properly placed.
Trying on the pants first, he thought that the material was a bit lacking though likely impressive in this world. In addition, the pants weren't completely fitting, especially on his ass and groin area.
"It is like going to the tailor's with how none of the pants ever seemed to fit me right," Han shook his head. "At least now the process is not an annoying one."
Placing his hand on his pants, his power flowed out of his hand and made its way into the fabric. Following his will, the pants could be felt altering by shifting into a higher quality material and lengthening around his groin. His groin and ass no longer felt as if it was being constrained, changing to being lovingly caressed.

"That is more like it," Han smiled as he moved his legs, testing out the range of motion.
Approaching the mirror, it was obvious how well it fitted him now compared to earlier. Seeing his reflection, the pants looked slightly form-fitting while keeping the proper lines.
Lifting his hand, he heard a minor noise being made as the dress shirt floated towards him. With both hands behind him, he could feel the shirt navigate along his back while making sure to have the hands go through the sleeve.
Shrugging his shoulders the shirt began buttoning itself.
"It is a bit tight around the shoulders and neck," He said to the shirt, feeling it adjust to fit his wants.
The strange part of the shirt was how it ended just above his pants, not able to be tucked in. "Must be to not prevent movement," Han murmured. "I am going to feel sorry for anyone overweight, having to show their crack to the world every time they bend forward or sit.
The Plumber's Crack was the reason why he used suspenders, instead of a belt. He found that not only were they convenient to use but he never had to worry about showing his ass crack.
"At least, with this new body, I will be able to hand out eye candy instead of being the one constantly taking it." A smile grew on his face, thinking of what friends would think of his thoughts. "It may be a bit narcissistic to think of me being eye candy."
As he thought about Earth, a belt floated over and put itself around his hip. Compared to what belts were used for, on Earth, these hung from his waist causing one side to be always higher than the other.
There was a place, on the side of his waist, where the belt attached to prevent it from dropping to the ground. Han thought this look was very fantasy looking, like something out of an RPG made in Japan.
A white outer coat went over the dress shirt and seemed to be used to hold various weapons and pouches that would be helpful on a task or quest. Even if many students didn’t become an adventurer, there were plenty of opportunities where exploring the dangerous world interweave with classes.
Going to the mirror, Han checked the outfit and thought it looked pretty decent. He felt more like a cosplayer, instead of a student at an academy inside of a fantasy world.
Leaving the room, Han proceeded to walk down the stairs and head to the dining area. Inside the dining area was a waitress waiting for him next to the table.
Bowing, the waitress said, “Master, I hope that you had plenty of rest. If it pleases you, we have your morning meal ready.”
Han took a seat at the head of the table and waited as the waitress went to the kitchen. In a few moments, she came back and laid out several dishes.
A second waitress brought over his drink and a bowl full of fruit. The dish in front of him had a fluffy looking omelet, bacon, and sausage. Another plate had some biscuits with gravy poured over them.
Grabbing the silverware, Han dug into his food with gusto and savored the various flavors.
Sighing and leaning back, Han sighed with content and feeling full.
The first waitress came back with a tray that had a cup placed on it. When she sat it down, it was revealed to be an amber colored liquid smelling of herbal tea.

The smell of the tea gave off a floral scent in addition to the honey added into it. Picking up the cup and bringing it close to his face, he breathed in the steam before placing his lips on the rim to drink the soothing tea.
Behind him, Han could hear the sound of several sets of footsteps coming down the stairs. He felt lips being placed on his cheek, followed by another on the other side. The last one lingered on his neck, the feel of a tongue idling for a time and followed by a gentle moan.
Helania and Brittany took their seat, on either side of him, while Queen sat to the left of Helania.
Sipping again on the tea, he was happy by the loving greeting from them.
“Master, you should have woken us up.” Brittany scolded him, slightly pouting. She was in an outfit similar to his, but with the crest of his “family” on her left breast and a diamond shaped opening to allow a nice view of her valley.
The school only provided him with his own uniform, so he had created another that mimicked his own. Helania and Queen were in outfits similar to the one he had Brittany make for him when they were in Leaf village.
Both of them had an overcoat over a dress, though the dress was different for the two. Helania’s looked modest, though her cleavage could be clearly seen, and Queen had something similar to a bikini top paired with a skirt.
Queen’s outfit was a mixture of blues, while Helania’s was a mixture of greens.
Differences in the outfit were due to Brittany accompanying him to his classes, for the day, as his personal attendant. Han knew that they could bring servants, but he didn’t know how many he could bring.
The previous night, the three of them had decided who would be the first to go with him. Brittany being the winner looked delighted, while the other two grumbled.
Helania and Queen would look after the house and occasionally check in with those at the Stronghold, while he was in class.
Not realizing it, Han learned that the other Floor Protectors were feeling left out. Wanting to be fair, he would rotate out one of the floor guardians, leaving the others to watch their respective floor.
Each of the Floor Protectors was tied to their floors so they would sense if there were an intruder. This would allow them to step away from their duties with the help of Helania’s power.
Han learned that the first one would be Anacolis, leaving her sister by herself to guard the floor.
“I agree, with Brittany, Master,” Helania said to him. “How could we, who are supposed to be by your side, sleep in while our Master goes about his business?”
“Master, you look sophisticated in your new uniform,” Queen spoke, changing the subject. She ignored the glares from the other two and looked at the food being placed in front of her.
“Trying to look good in front of Master," Muttered Brittany, directing her annoyance at Queen.
“Now. Now. I am sure that Queen was merely trying to improve the mood. I just wanted the three of you to continue enjoying your sleep, while I went to change into my outfit. You two are being too serious about this.” Han gently said.
Though the three of them were earnest in their duties, he relished the different peculiarities they had. When creating them, he had not gone into details as to what their dispositions were like, but somehow they were able to form their own sense of self.
Helania was very professional, as the head of the Floor Protectors and his first creation.
Queen was a little childish when they were alone, but was aggressively protective of him even more so as the leader of his armies.
Brittany started off demure, originally being a waitress, but started to come into her own when he made her into his personal attendant.
Thinking of the other Floor Protectors, he questioned what their temperaments were now like.
“Queen, while I am away, I want you to send out your minions to search through this city. It would not be good for us to be oblivious of hidden elements. Find out the numerous powers in this city, and the influence they have. This city will be an open book to me, and I will be relying on you to make me aware of any developments.” He ordered Queen, finishing his tea.
“Yes, Master! I will make it so that you will even know what food any vermin are eating, at any given moment!” She shot up in attention and bowing to him as she received her new orders.
“A better understanding of this city will help us in making our life more interesting.” He snickered.
Like any other highly populated area, there were sure to be nefarious ventures taking place. Playing around with those types of people would be amusing, in addition to scholarly life.
“Master, we should be leaving soon,” Brittany notified him.
Nodding, he stood up and went to the front door. Helania and Queen follow them to the entrance.
“Have a safe and pleasant day, Master!” Helania and Queen shouted as Han and Brittany walked down the path and past the walls.
----------
As they were strolling along the street, Han started to see other students heading in the same direction.
Several of them were pointing at Han and Brittany, talking amongst themselves. They were probably gossiping about his white colored uniform.
At this academy, different colors corresponded to a student’s ranking. The colors matched the alphabet ranking: S-rank is white, A-rank is red, B-rank is blue, C-rank is yellow, D-rank is green, E-rank is orange, and F-rank is purple.
From what he learned, students that were A, B and C rank were nicknamed primary students, while D, E, and F were nicknamed secondary students.
Since there were no students that were ranked S, Han was an enigma to the other students.
A short distance away, dozens of buildings could be seen with students of similar ages going into certain buildings. These were the general studies buildings. Further away were buildings separated into different fields.
Each of the fields had their own section and primarily taken by the older students who didn't need to take any more general study classes.
Han and Brittany walked to the general study buildings since this was where all students started off. The coursework was likely to be all-encompassing and not go into specifics.
With this being his first year, Han would only be taking three classes: Alchemy, General Magic, and Exploration. All three of these classes were in one building, which was the largest and closest to the tower. With the placement of the building, Han and the girls wouldn’t need to walk far to reach his classes.
The building reminded him of the buildings at most universities on Earth. Outside of the building showed bricks with ivy going all over them and dozens of windows. On the side facing the tower, there was a wide set of steps leading to the entrance.
Both of the doors were held open, to let the students quickly walk in for their first day. Some students were hanging out on the steps, chatting with other new students.
Han noticed how people tended to group together with those of a similar color as them. There were a lot of blues and yellow colored uniforms, compared to the other colors. With his white colored uniform, Han stood out like a sore thumb and students were regularly looking at him.
In addition to people pointing him out, there were plenty of guys that were checking out Brittany with a vulgar expression. Seeing those looks, Han didn’t worry about it and proceeded towards the entrance.
Compared to when he was on Earth, where he was continuously concerned with former girlfriends, Han knew that there was no need for concern with Brittany. In addition to being his creation and never betraying him, she was profoundly in love with him and didn’t bother if other people were paying notice to her.
Entering the building, there was a wide central walkway, with plenty of natural sunlight coming in through the ceiling. There were benches on either side of the wide walkway, for students to discuss various topics and collaborate with other students.
Dozens of doors were lined down the hallway. Each of the doors was a classroom, and on the paper given to him by Val listed out his classes with room numbers.
Summoning the paper, he looked at it and saw that his first class was Exploration, for the entire day. Based on the class description, it was likely going to be a hands-on and experience building type course.
Looking at the room number, Han continued to walk down the walkway and look for the correct room. Locating the right room at the end of the hall, Han went into the classroom.
The class was large, with the desks set up into a downward slope, each row on a tier. At the bottom, there was a large desk and writing board. A lot of the seats were occupied, so the two of them took a place at the back.
Sitting at his desk, Han casually glanced at each of his classmates. There was a wide assortment of people, especially in the spectrum of social statuses. Some of the students had expensive looking jewelry or equipment, such as a well-made sword, while others looked common.
Checking the paper again, he wondered how soon the class would be starting. In the room, there wasn't a clock to indicate the time of day so he wondered how it was determined for the teacher to know when to come in.
It wasn't long before the sound of talking began to decrease, as a door at the head of the classroom opened.
Walking into the classroom, a tall lady with flowing wavy hair down her back while wearing a black professional-looking outfit came in. Her figure spoke volumes on her ability to defend herself, looking like some Amazonian woman.
Though her outfit may have looked normal on a teacher, her body made such clothing look restrictive as if barely containing her abilities.
If there were an artist that needed a model for a female superhero, this woman would be great for the job. Looking at her, Han gazed down her body and seeing her nice proportions.
The part that drew his eyes were the size of her breasts, her outfit showing the top portions of it. Han figured that the exposure of her breasts was out of necessity with how the shirt failed to fit her body. Unbuttoned and opened, it was easy to see the smooth white flesh.
When she reached the desk at the front of the classroom, there was a loud smacking sound as she slammed her hand down on the desk.
“This is the Exploration class, so if any of you are not registered for this class, you better leave now. If I catch any of you not meant to be here, there will be hell to pay.” Even though her voice didn’t go above a conversational level, the tone of her voice made it worse than if she were to yell.
A couple of people stumbled over their chairs, as they rushed out of the classroom, with panic in their eyes.
Watching these kids, Han wondered how many of them were here just because of how this woman looked. Along with the curves of her figure, her fiery personality really helped complete the image.
His face broke out into a grin as he imagined this year to be an interesting one.
After all the people who weren’t in the class had left, the woman introduced herself. “My name is Ha-Yoon Firestorm, and I will be your teacher for this year. I am an A-ranked fire blade master and have been an adventurer for the past decade."
"You have the honor of being taught by one of the youngest blade masters, on this continent. If you follow what I have to teach, you will learn the necessary skills to survive in this chaotic world.” She rested a hand on her hip as she leaned on the desk.
Looking around at the students, she said, “I want each of you to introduce yourself, and tell a brief history of where you came from. Afterward, we will be going on a short trip, outside the city.”
After finishing her introductions and itinerary of the day, she pointed at a boy sitting in the front row.
The boy stood up, looking a little nervous and said, “my name is Fred Sallyworth, and I come from the village of Creed. Both of my parents are farmers, so I hope to grow strong and help them.” After seeing the teacher nod her head, Fred sat back down.
Several of the students began to introduce themselves, and give a brief history of themselves and their family. There were several students that were from minor nobility and talked about how powerful they were compared to people in their own family.
Smug and arrogant would be an understatement, when describing how they acted.
Seeing the expression on the teacher’s face, it could be seen that she was annoyed at how pompous they acted. Though there were several minor nobles, many of the students came from villages and towns. There were a few that belonged to merchant and crafting families.
An older looking boy, with several pretty servants sitting next to him, stood up and stated, “I am Eric Lightwing the Fourth, Second Prince of the Great Lunar Empire! I am already an upper C-ranked knight, and will soon lead the armies of the empire to prosperous future. I, currently, serve under the Crowned Prince, my older brother."
"Though my skills are above those required for this class, I was informed that all students at this academy were required to attend this class. The only thing I ask from all of you is to not stand in my way.” He smirked at the teacher.
The teacher turned her face slightly away from him, with a slight frown.
After the prince had made his speech, there was a tense atmosphere. There were some of the minor nobility in the kingdom, who looked at the prince with scorn. Others, especially the students from villages and town, tried to make themselves not stand out. Even though they may be safe, within the city, there was no telling what someone with his level of powers could do, if offended.
A girl, who was an elf, stood up and said, “I am Elivionia Nightborn, Fourth Princess of the Elven Kingdom. My rank is lower B, and I am trained as a shadow dancer and mage."
"To improve relations with non-elven nations, I volunteered to come to this academy. I hope that we can all get along and learn from one another.” She bowed, when she finished, giving the class a refreshing feeling.
Compared to the prince, the princess who appeared genuine and compassionate. Many of the boys in the room were blushing, while the girls were looking at her with admiration.
The teacher, recovering, gave her a warm smile and nodded her head.
After the princess had introduced herself, the rest of the students were common folks who earned the ability to attend the academy.
For those who were not nobility, the average rank seemed to be an upper D-rank. This was understandable, considering the resources they would have at their disposal before arriving here. It was already impressive that they were that high of a rank.
When it came to Han’s turn, they all looked at him. He stood up and casually said, “I am Han Yi, you may call me Yi. I am the son of a humble magician and have been studying inside of our family’s property."
"I look forward to getting to know all of you, and hope to become close friends.” Considering the color of his uniform, Han didn’t believe it was necessary to state his rank.
Though the color of his uniform wouldn’t announce his level within S-rank, considering how he was several ranks above his classmates it would be meaningless.
After he finished talking, the class just stared at him in silence.
The teacher stood blankly, like the rest of the class, looking at his uniform. After several moments had passed, the teacher realized that she was staring and focused her attention on the class.
“Now that we have introduced each of ourselves, we will begin the lesson for the day. Considering this class is about getting a sense of the world, we will be mainly having this class outside of the city. For those who are unfamiliar with the outside world, there are many dangerous things out in the world. You will need to be cautious against monsters, demons, bandits, and the environment."
"We will be meeting at the city’s entrance, so make sure you get the necessary materials for this excursion. Promptly meet at the main entrance to the city in an hour!” After telling the class this, she headed for the door and left them to get ready.
After hearing such an announcement, all the students began talking at once. Many of the commoner students were anxious about going out to train.
"What are we going to do if we run into monsters or bandits?!" A boy who looked to be from the boonies, likely not even large enough to be considered a village, sounded scared as he talked to those sitting next to him.
Sharing a similar sentiment, a girl sitting next to someone who looked like her asked, "Sis, do you think we'll be okay out there? I don't know if my skills are strong enough."
"It'll be okay. I'll make sure to protect you." The sister said in an unconfident voice, but likely not wanting to make her younger sister worried answered.
Many other similar discussions were being made. Though some sounded excited about the chance to fight monsters or bandits. Judging by the mannerisms, these were people from a wealthy family or nobility.
Not caring to listen to any more discussion, Han stood up and walked out of the classroom and out of the building.
Like everyone else, he didn’t expect the class to start the practical portion so soon. It would be amusing to see how the people in this world behaved in the wilderness.
He remembered Tom's family, who had encountered Empire soldiers and likely would've perished or watched his wife and daughter experience horrific acts. It only highlighted how this world wasn't as peaceful as much of Earth, especially in first-world countries.
Reflecting on only having an hour, he decided to head straight towards the meeting spot. There wasn’t anything that he needed to arrange ahead of time, so there was no need to visit multiple stores. Rushing past him, many of others were racing to the stores to obtain their supplies.
-----------------
Reaching the entrance, it wasn’t as busy as when he first arrived. The sea of tents was no longer in front of the gate so he could enjoy the tranquil view.
Off in the distance, Han could see a forest that was denser than any he had seen. It brought up the idea of whether they were going to explore the forest, for their first lesson.
Leaning against the large wooden doors of the gate, Han observed the guards inspect each of the wagons that were waiting to enter into the city. The guards were very meticulous at their jobs, where several of them would surround the wagon and thoroughly remove each item.
Once the wagon was cleared, they would check for any concealed compartments. Concluding by the wagon owner’s face, this was something that transpired routinely and lacked the usual indications of frustration.
Seeing the number of wagons that were idling, this method didn’t seem to cause notable issues.
Feeling a little bored, Han aimlessly opened up a menu and glimpsed at the items in each of the wagons.
His powers informed him that the person was indeed a merchant. The person originated the Town of Sulanis inside of the Helios Kingdom. Their ultimate destination was Academic City, so this was likely their last stop.
Han sighed by the lack of any hidden items inside of the wagon and waved the screen away.
This was the same conclusion that the guards reached, and allowed the wagon to continue into the city.
The average time for each wagon seemed to be fifteen minutes. Though the first merchant was an honest one, Han anticipated that there would indeed be someone up to no good. Keeping his expectations at a reasonable level, he continued to check out each wagon.
On the third wagon, there was a man that appeared with a very large wagon.
As the guards instructed the man to step away from his wagon, the man gave a large smile and complied with the order.
Compared to the other wagons, this one had a canopy over it and indicating that the man was someone that traveled a lot to sell his wares. The guards began to remove the items inside of the wagon, and check each item.
Since there were more items, the guards went through the checking procedure faster to not keep the line of other wagons waiting. This was similar to how trucks, on Earth, were required to stop at various checkpoints, when they were driving on the highway.
If the authorities took too long, there would be a long line of trucks waiting to be processed. Though the guards couldn’t check everything, they could take a large enough sample and hopefully spot anything that didn’t belong.
Even before looking at the information, he saw that the job area was significantly different compared to previous wagons. The individual had job titles other than merchant. Seeing spy and smuggler in addition to merchant, Han felt joy at hitting a jackpot.
Unlike the other merchants, this man originated from the Lunar Empire and specifically the Celestial City. From his talks with Tom, his family, and Elis, Han had learned that the capital of the Empire was named Celestial City.
Aside from the typical cargo of raw materials, this time there were hidden objects called Pleasure which was a controlled substance.
Tapping on the product to see what it was, Han read the description and found it to be intriguing.
Item Detail: A substance that is used to increase a person’s sensitivity to external stimuli. Increases the subject’s desire for sexual activity. The liquid is poured into drinks and used primarily in the sex industry.
Based on the description, the substance was an aphrodisiac used by those in the Red-Light District. It was a typical sounding substance used by those who work in such areas, but it still was nice to finally see evidence of such shady activity even in a place like Academic City.
Using a finger to draw out a square, Han captured an image of the man. Bringing up the image on a separate screen, he sent it over to Queen.
“Queen, I just sent you an image. I want you to gather information on him, and find out who his customers on. Pay particular attention to a drug called 'Pleasure'.” He said, feeling the usual sensation of the message being received.
The image would appear in front of Queen or his creations. In addition to being able to communicate with them, he was able to transmit information is was viewing. This is one of the greater benefits of his creations.
“Yes, Master. I will assign people to find him and gather all relevant information. I will not fail you.” Queen answered.
He did have thought to send a message to the guards and let them know about the smuggled items, but Han was curious as to where this would lead him.
Obviously, the guards wouldn’t be able to find everything, so there must be items that bypass the level of security around this place.
“You have arrived here early,” a voice said to him, while he was deep in thought.
Han looked over and saw that it was Ha-Yoon, his teacher.
Looking her up and down, Han saw that she changed into a more form-fitting outfit, looking like a real adventurer.
“Yes, teacher. I did not have much that I needed to prepare, so I came here early and have begun mentally preparing myself.” He casually told her.
Ha Yoon’s face scrunched up after hearing how easy going he was being. “Just because your uniform may say that you are an S-rank individual, do not underestimate the world. There have been many strong individuals, who believed that they had nothing to worry about and ended up losing their life.” She lectured him.
Bowing his head, Han responded, “Teacher, I did not mean to come off as overconfident. I hope I did not offend you with my cavalier attitude.”
Even though this individual was nowhere near his power level, he didn’t want to offend someone he had just met. Her response let him know that she cared for her students, which was never a negative thing. It was always better to be with someone that showed concern, instead of apathy.
“This woman, is she a student or your servant?” Ha-Yoon asked him, looking at Brittany.
“Brittany, we are being rude. Introduce yourself to my esteemed teacher.” Han ordered Brittany.
Giving Ha-Yoon a curtsy, Brittany said, “Please, forgive my rudeness to my Master’s teacher. I am called Brittany, and I am Master’s personal attendant.”
Grunting, Ha-Yoon looked Brittany up and down, gauging her abilities. “Will your attendant be able to follow where we will be going?” She asked, with concern.
“Do not worry about Brittany. She is more than capable of handling anything that may come up,” He smiled, thinking about all the modifications he made to her.
Considering what this world considered to be S-ranked, Han had modified her to be at the level of an SSS-ranked adventurer. She may not win against Helania, but her magical and physical abilities are close to Helania and Queen.
Going with his usual manner of giving powers to his creations, Han gave Brittany abilities closer to a paladin and summoner.
Just like a paladin, she would gain the blessing of the deity she pledged her soul to, which happened to be him. The blessing was primarily receiving a percentage of his powers, giving her a boost in physical and magical traits.
Going head to head with a dragon wouldn't be an issue for her, given what she has access to.
The summoner part was being able to materialize weapons and armor when she needed them. In addition, Brittany would be able to call forth various creatures to fight on her behalf.
Just like any of his creations, she was a broken character and would definitely have been reported to administrators if she were a gamer on an online game. It was to a degree where sympathy should be given to anyone she fights against.
Han figured that all these modifications would be unnecessary, and overkill, but he wanted to see Brittany in action. Making her into a paladin was something he thought was interesting. It would be as if he was a god, and she was his believer.
The armor she could summon was made to look rather sinister, which was funny due to how innocent Brittany looked. When Han had shown her what it looked like, Brittany had shed tears of joy.
Though she was only a personal attendant, Han didn’t realize that her inability to contribute in a fight had weighed heavily on her. With her current status, she wouldn’t have to worry about getting into a fight. He even made it so that she could tap into his power, which even the other Floor Protectors couldn’t do.
Ha-Yoon gave Han a look that indicated her doubts on the matter, but since she was a servant of Han, she didn’t want to step where she had no right.
Shaking her head at the idea of Brittany coming with them, she happened to look over at the wagon that was being searched and gave an odd look.
He didn't understand what her look was all about, only making a mental note. It could be that it was part of her duties as an adventurer or faculty of the city. Mentally shrugging, Han put the thought to the side due to it not being his business to comment.
He just continued to stand and watch the wagons going by, after being inspected. “Teacher, where will we be going once the rest of the class shows up?” Han asked her, curious about whether his theory of the forest was correct.
Jerking to look back at him, she said, “We will be going to the forest over there.” Ha-Yoon pointed at the large forest in view.
“Inside of the forest, we will find many monsters for you and the rest of the class to see. Deep inside of the forest, we will be visiting a structure and go explore inside of it. It is a popular location for those starting off as an adventurer so it will provide everyone with good experience.” His teacher explained.
“How long will this excursion be?” Han wondered.
“We will be exploring for several days, so this is why I gave everyone time to gather the necessary equipment.” When Han asked her, Ha-Yoon seemed annoyed, guessing that Han didn’t bring equipment for this.
“The documents on your course information sheet should have provided you with the details of this class. Each week, we will be traveling for several days, so that all student will gain the required practical knowledge to graduate." Her eyes narrowed.
After calming herself down, she sighed heavily before saying, "If you need to, I can have everyone wait while you go and gather the necessary equipment for spending nights outside.” As if not liking the idea of holding everyone else up for one unprepared student.
“There will be no need, teacher. I am ready for any scenario.” Han replied in a confident voice.
“Where is your equipment, then?” Ha Yoon accused.
“I have it all stored.” He replied while sweeping his hand and making a large tent appear on the grassy area, a hundred feet away from them. The nearby guards jumped when they noticed a large tent emerge out of nowhere.
Ha-Yoon sharply turned to look at him, exclaiming, “did you make that appear?!”
“Yes,” Han said, feeling a little confused. He knew that spatial magic existed in this world, and how they even had rings to store items, so he didn’t understand why his teacher looked so shocked. This should be a minor thing, but the way everyone was acting Han must have performed a great feat.
“Where did you make that appear from!” She asked him, with urgency.
“I pulled it from my spatial dimension, like anyone else.” He lied.
Ha-Yoon grabbed him by his collar and stared into his eyes, saying, “Do not lie to me, boy! Where did that come from? No person is able to pull out such a large object from their spatial dimension!”
Han mentally slapped his forehead, realizing what the issue was. Based on how his teacher was acting, most people had a small spatial dimension, so bringing out a setup tent was likely impossible.
He quickly tried to think about how to explain this, when he saw a bright flash next to him.
Changing into her Paladin armor, Brittany materialized a bastard sword and pointed it at Ha-Yoon. The pressure of her killing intent was so great that passing residents and merchants close by were on their hands and knees trying to fight against the abrupt pressure.
Even the guards were affected by her power, with most using only able to stay on one knee, resisting the pressure. Likely due to her high rank, Ha-Yoon was able to keep standing, but beads of sweat wetted her forehead.
The hand that was grabbing Han’s collar was shaking, as she realized her error. One of her hands was reaching for her sword at her side but stopped when the force pressing down on her was tripled.
While this drove Ha-Yoon to be on her hands and knees, everyone else was plastered to the ground and looked to be in pain.
Seeing his teacher in such a pitiful position, he raised his hand and signaled Brittany to stop. The frightening armor around her vanished, and the air no longer felt oppressive.
Everyone was panting, sucking air back into their lungs, like fish that returned back to the water. He didn’t expect to see Brittany’s new abilities so soon and wondered how this would affect things.
Slowly getting back to her feet, Ha-Yoon looked at Brittany and Han. Her hand continued to twitch to her weapon, but considering the consequences, her hand stayed a safe distance from the hilt of her sword.
Looking like a rabbit that wanted to bolt, she started some basic breathing exercises. “There seems to be more about you, Yi, aside from your spatial dimension abilities and white uniform.”
Ha-Yoon’s left eye twitched a little. “I do not think I have ever faced such killing intent before." The sound of her voice slowly building up.
"You said that she was your servant, not your bodyguard!” She started to yell at him but calmed herself down quickly.
Looking as if this misunderstanding wasn’t his fault, Han replied, “But she is my servant, specifically my personal attendant.”
“What kind of personal attendant has the ability to cause this much mayhem!” his teacher yelled at him, sweeping her hand at all the people still recovering. The guards had overcome the event but were unsure how to proceed, looking around for the cause.
“Not even several platoons would be able to go up against your 'personal attendant',” she snarled the last part out, dripping with sarcasm. “If she is a 'personal attendant', then I am a common farmer!”
“I did not deceive you when I said that she was a servant. My father is very protective of me, so he had Brittany attend me at the academy." Han assumed an innocent expression.
"I did bring additional servants, the head of the Protection Unit and Military Commander. Some others will be joining me, in the future, but this amount is nothing to become stressed about."
"Since I have never left my family’s home, my father and mother are only worried about my well being.” Han tried to casually explain to Ha-Yoon.
“Wait! Wait for a second! Full Stop! You said the head of your bodyguards and a military commander?! What are your intentions? Did you plan for an invasion of the city?!” She screamed. Both of her eyes were wide open and looked about ready to pop out of their sockets.
Han tried to make himself sound confused like he lacked common sense. “I would think that this would be appropriate, for someone that comes to an academy on his own? Considering this academy had those from nobility attending, I figured that this would not be so odd.”
Ha-Yoon placed a hand over her face, looking exasperated. “Yes… Many noble families do bring bodyguards and other servants, but none of them are able to take on an entire military force on their own,” she said the last part through gritted teeth.
“Just from your servants killing intent, I was unable to defend myself. Do you think A-ranked adventurers grow as numerous as the grass?” She rolled her eyes and raised both arms into the sky.
“Teacher, we have arrived!” one of Han’s classmates called out.
Ha-Yoon looked at Han and whispered, “We are not finished with this.”
Han gently shook his head, as if thinking her reaction was unreasonable. He flicked a finger, making the tent disappear, and walked away from the other students.
Brittany saw him and bowed her head, saying, “Master, forgive me for doing something unnecessary. When I saw that woman grab you, I could not hold myself back.”
Placing his hand on her head, Han whispered, “You did not do anything wrong, my beautiful servant. I was happy that you came and defended me so quickly.”
Using a finger to lift up her chin, Han looked into her eyes. “You never have to apologize for protecting me. I am happy that the powers I bestowed upon you are working flawlessly. You looked magnificent in all your righteous fury.” Seeing her mood improved, Han couldn’t help but smile.
Away from him, Ha-Yoon was corralling the students. Observing the packs and supplies being carried indicated that they took the proper time to prepare. She nodded her head, pleased to see that the class had heeded her words.
A sharp look was directed at Han before she returned her attention to the class.
“Now that everyone is here, we will be heading off to the forest. Even though everything looks peaceful, I do not want anyone relaxing their guard.” His teacher said.
Taking the lead, Ha-Yoon began to walk to the forest where they would be spending several days training. The students followed her lead, gossiping about what they should expect on the trip.
Han looked at the class walking ahead of him and saw that there were around fifty students. Each of them was dressed in various outfits, but looking as if they were ready to face the world.
There seemed to be a pattern between the different students, where some wore outfits that freed their limbs, others were had varying degrees of armor, and some looked to wear plain outdoor outfits.
When they arrived in the forest, Han would be able to watch how each of them handle monsters.
The sun rose to its zenith when they reached the forest.
Before entering, Ha-Yoon turned around to face them. “We are about to enter the forest. As a part of completing the class and as a requirement for graduating, each one of you will need to gain experience in killing a monster."
Seeing the shocked looks on some of them, she said, "This forest is meant for novices, who are starting out as adventurers. Though all of you should be able to handle the level of danger, at the same time, this does not mean that you can be reckless. I will go over some basics before we continue."
"For those of you who have are mages, I will have you line up to my right.” She pointed to where she wanted them to go and waited until all of them were standing in the designated area.
“Next, I want those of you who are fighters, not specializing in magic, to stand at my left.” After people had moved over to where she indicated, she continued, “And finally, I want those of you who are a mixture of the two, to stand in front of me.”
Once everyone was divided into three groups, she stated, “Each one of you will be serving a purpose in this class trip. As mages, you will need to gain enough time to cast your spells so the physical and mixed group will act as your shield."
"There are some monsters that are reliant on their speed so those in the front will need to keep an eye out for them," she cautioned.
"Remember, having a mage in your group is very important since they are usually the ones that can deal out the most damage. This does not mean that mages are better, so I do not want you, mages, in thinking that you can use those fighting as fodder."
"In this world, there are a wide variety of monsters, so you need to be able to adapt to any given scenario. The three groups will begin by forming a party that has a good balance. When you have formed your group, you will come to me, and I will approve the formation." She indicated to each group.
"Do not try and show off or act like you are superior, cause this is how adventurers end up getting their groups slaughtered.” Ha-Yoon looked at each student, trying to drive home her point.
Once Ha-Yoon had clapped her hands, students began looking for people to fill vacant spots.
Students that formed their groups the fastest were those with superior gears. Many of them were the nobles and those from wealthy families. They laughed at the students who looked lost and struggled to match themselves up with others.
As such time, it was a clear indicator of how those with power would tend to group to one another. There was also an element of being raised in an environment where social skills were cultivated and allowed them to be direct with their desires and aims.
Han stayed off to the side, watching as people frantically found people to fill their vacant roles. After an hour passed by, all the groups were formed, except for one that only had two people.
The incomplete group urgently looked for the one person that didn’t have a group yet, but they weren’t able to find the student. Not wanting them to panic any longer, Han approached this group.
When Han approached the two, they looked at him with relief. The two were both girls that seemed to have similar features. Their outfit looked really plain, more like clothes they would have worn every day instead of adventuring.
Seeing that Han was wearing a white outfit, the two of them looked hesitant about talking to him though they needed him to complete their group.
“Hahaha!! Look at those commoners and the supposed S-rank. They look like they will die during their first fight!” The boy, called Eric, yelled out at them, laughing.
Hearing what Eric said, the other two students laughed along, while their servants looked at them with contempt. Instead of the servants that came to class, many of the nobles brought their bodyguards, likely former soldiers or adventurers.
The two girls in Han’s group hung their head in shame after other students started to point out to them. “Do not listen to them,” Han told them, hoping to encourage them. “What are your names, again? I am Han Yi, but you may call me Yi.” He smiled.
The older looking girl looked at Han and said, “I’m Selene, and this is my younger sister, Lithia. We came from a small village, so our families weren’t able to give us money for equipment. We didn’t know that we would need any, so soon.” Selene said to Han in a quiet voice.
Hearing the one named Selene introduce herself and her sister, Han remembered that they were the ones he overhead inside of the classroom.
Wanting them to feel comfortable and seeing that the teasing was affecting them, Han said, “There is no need to worry about that. Everything will work out. What groups were the two of you in?”
Selene looked at him, and said, “I’m part of the fighting group. My magic isn’t very strong, but my dad taught me how to fight monsters that would attack our farm.”
“I’m a mage, but I only know a couple of low healing spells,” Lithia informed him, her voice sounding like she was afraid that Han would get angry at how weak she was.
Bowing his head, Han said, “I, myself, am a mixture of fighter and mage, so do not worry if your magic is weak, right now. The whole point of this class is to develop our skills, right?”
Seeing his smile, the two sisters’ expression brightened. They gave him a shy smile, once they understood that he wouldn’t think of them as rejects.
A loud clap was heard by everyone. “Now that everyone is in a group, we will be proceeding into the forest. Since going all at once would defeat the purpose of this exercise, each group will be going one at a time.
"Before the end of today, all groups will reach the ruins and make their camps." Ha-Yoon stated.
Looking at the nobles, Ha-Yoon said in a stern voice, "This is not a competition so I will not allow fighting amongst the groups."
To the others, she said, "If you are not at the ruins by the time the sun sets, I want you to wait where you are, and I will come and get you. Each one of you has some ability, so trust your instincts, and you will reach the ruins.”
One by one, each of the groups entered into the forest. The forest was thick enough that the groups looked to vanish after walking twenty feet.
-------------
When it was time for Han’s group to enter the forest, Han started to step towards the forest. He pretended to not see Ha-Yoon’s expression as he passed her by.
Inside the forest, the daylight decreased substantially. There was only enough sunlight to allow them to see clearly, but entering the forest felt like they were in another world.
Bringing up the map to see where they were, Han saw four blinking lights, for each of them. Zooming out, Han saw that there was a slight opening of the forest and the name “Ruins of the Forest Kingdom.”
Though the forest continued past the ruins, he figured that this was where they needed to go. With a tap of his finger on the area marked ruins, Han set up a place marker to help him see where he needed to travel.
Looking up, there was a large gold-colored orb hanging in front of him. When he turned his body, the orb moved out of his vision.
Now that he was certain that the function was working properly, he turned back to the sisters. “Since we are the last group to enter the forest, I think this is a good opportunity to get to know one another.”
“What do you mean?” Selene hesitantly asked him. Hearing this Lithia hid behind her sister, worried that Han was going to do something to them.
Shaking his head and chuckling, Han said, “You do not need to be afraid. I just want to help the two of you out, so that you can gain the experience you need to protect each other.” Looking at Selene, Han asked, “What kind of weapon do you prefer to use?”
Thinking for a moment on what Han had asked her, Selene answered, “I’m used to using the daggers my dad had on the farm. They were long daggers, so they were useful in attacking and defending.”
Lithia nodded her head, hearing her sister’s answer.
Placing his hand to his chin, Han stood there thinking for a moment. “If you prefer using daggers, I think it may be good for you to also have light armor.”
Snapping his fingers, he made two plain-looking long daggers appear. Also, he also created basic armor which only covered up a person’s vital areas.
“Try these on." He said to Selene.
Seeing him drop equipment near her, her eyes widened. Selene faced Han with a quizzical look.
"I will now have you fight Brittany, my personal attendant. This will help me in seeing what your fighting style is like, and make any changes to your weapons and armor.” Han said.
“Is this for me?” Selene asked Han.
“No. This is just equipment to help me find the right ones for you.” He said, chuckling at her expression.
Standing next to Selene and staring at the items, she looked at Han and asked, “Where did these come from?”
“Do not worry about that. My family has plenty of equipment on hand, so do not feel guilty for accepting the equipment.” Han tried to soothe them, glossing over the issue.
Nodding her head but still looking disbelieving of his answer, Selene began putting on the equipment.
Lithia helped with some of the straps, looking a little lost but pushing through.
Once she had tightened the various straps, she latched on the leather holsters for the daggers.
When she looked ready, Han said to Brittany, “I want you to fight against Selene, but be gentle considering her lack of experience. I want you to figure out the strengths and weaknesses of this girl, and give me a report afterward so I can create them more suitable equipment.”
“As you wish, Master,” Brittany said to him.
Han took a seat on a fallen tree and watched as Selene approached Brittany.
With a flash of light, Brittany was covered in her paladin outfit, while holding her bastard sword in front.
Selene pulled out both of her daggers and held them, so the blade was pointing down. Crouching, like a spring, Selene propelled herself towards Brittany.
Looking at her calmly, Brittany waited until Selene was close to her before she swung her sword.
Selene held out the two daggers, in front of her, and redirected the sword away from her but being pushed back by the force. Her feet leaving trails in the dirt as she frowned due to the effort.
Once the sword struck the ground, Selene raced to Brittany’s rear and spun the dagger in her right hand to use the dagger to attack the right side, while the other one was aiming for Brittany’s throat, right below her left ear.
Before both attacks reached their mark, Brittany rotated her body to the right, dodging the attacks. If Brittany had rotated her body to the left, she would have still been attacked by one of the daggers, likely her neck.
Using her right hand, Brittany swung her blade horizontally, trying to catch Selene off balance. When Selene had realized that her attack had missed, she rolled forward to neutralize Brittany’s attack. Getting back to her feet, Selene held up both daggers in front of her, looking like a boxer.
The two of them continued to trade attacks to the other, while the other continued to evade them.
Brittany used the bastard sword to keep Selene away from her, while Selene tried to use each dagger to aim for a vital point.
Initially, Selene was a little clumsy, but as time passed, she became more confident in her attacks. As Selene improved, Brittany increased the difficulty of her attacks based on Han’s orders.
While Brittany still looked calm and relaxed, Selene was starting to appear exhausted by the fight. All over Selene’s body, there were cuts from Brittany’s bastard sword. Even if the cuts weren’t deep, they were an indicator of how tired Selene was becoming.
“Okay. The two of you can stop now.” Han said, clapping his hands to signal the end of the fight.
Hearing this, Selene plopped to the ground in exhaustion, sweat streaming down her face. Lithia rushed over to Selene and gave her a waterskin, which Selene desperately drank.
Both of them had brought a small pack with them, but Selene had taken hers off for the fight.
Brittany had removed her armor and made her sword vanish, and patiently stood there.
Looking at Han, still sitting on the log, Brittany said, “Master, this girl has the potential to be a strong individual. Though her attacks are simplistic, she does have some natural skills, in addition to her high agility."
"She has an instinct when it comes to attacking her opponent's vital areas and knows when she needs to retreat. If she did not have this, I believe that she would have been killed several times over."
"With her level of dexterity and agility, I believe that a weapon that is both short range and long range would be best” Brittany reported to him.
“Selene, do you have any magic skills?” He asked her.
“I have some ability using lighting magic,” Selene answered, sounding shy from her answer as if it was embarrassing. "I'm only able to send out a light shock," She hastily clarified.
Hearing her answer, Han figured out a weapon that would match with her fighting ability. He made two daggers appear, one of them looking like a needle and the other being curved like a tooth, with a hook coming out the middle of the blade.
Handing them over to Selene, Han said, “These two are blades that I believe will fit you nicely. The needle dagger is helpful when aiming for vital points, especially if your opponent has armor on them."
"While the second one, the curving of the blade is good for carving up your opponent." He explained.
"Using the hooked blade is for when you attach the two daggers together.” Han placed the two daggers together until there was an audible click.
When he pulled them apart, there was a thin cord connecting the two. “With the two daggers connected, you will be able to throw the dagger at your unsuspecting opponent. Throwing this dagger past the opponents head, you can pull it back and deeply cut them with the hook." Han mimicked the action with the weapon.
"The daggers and the cord are conductive so you can use your lightning magic to shock your opponent. To help you, the dagger has the ability to boost your lightning magic.”
Looking at her armor, Han said, “Concerning your armor, I do not think it is necessary to give you better ones until your skills improve.”
Han then looked over at Lithia, and said, “For your healing magic, I will be giving you a bracelet that increases the intensity of your spells, making them stronger.”
Opening his hand, he showed a thin bracelet that glittered.
Handing it over to Lithia, he watched as she put it on. When she closed the clasp, the bracelet appeared to no longer have a seam.
It looked like a solid piece of metal, on her wrist. “If you ever need to take it off, it will respond to your feelings and unlock itself.”
The two girls looked at him with tears in their eyes and thanked Han profusely. “My sister and I are grateful for everything you’ve done for us, even though he had only met for a short time. I don’t know how we can thank you, Yi!”
Placing a hand on top of their heads, Han simply said, “The best way you can thank me is to become strong enough to pursue your dreams. We are a team, so I will try my best to help the two of you out."
Looking at the light beginning to decrease in the forest, Han said, "It may be good to get moving so that we reach the ruins before nightfall.”
Seeing them agree with him, Han moved in the direction of the ruins, following the golden globe. Due to there not being a trail for them to follow, they had to go between the trees and through the occasional bush.
All throughout the forest, there were fallen trees that lay across the ground or leaned against a neighboring tree. Sometimes, in the distance, they would hear the crashing of one of the trees that was leaning against another tree. When this noise was heard, the two girls would jump in fright.
----------------
Walking for several hours, none of them encountered any monsters that were claimed to live in the forest. Not wanting to be surprised by a monster, Han made it so that any intruders would show up as a red dot.
Depending on how close the monster was, the size of the globe would become larger. This would help him to keep a better watch out for any ambushes. Though the teacher had told the groups that this wasn’t a competition, there may be teams that would ignore this and attack other teams. The way the nobles had reacted to his group, he wouldn’t be surprised if they decided to attack him.
The two sisters seemed to enjoy the various sights and sound inside the forest. Though the teacher had warned them not to become complacent, the two girls found themselves pointing at animals.
There were birds that would fly between the trees and deer-like animals that would wander the forest. With his intruder detection system, Han didn’t feel worried about their lack of caution. If there were an attack, he would just wait and give them an opportunity to experience the dangers of this world.
The best way to get them to not think of this as a common field trip was to expose them to danger. A part of him was thinking about whether he should create monsters of his own, so that they could attack the sisters, considering there were none around, at least nearby.
When he was about to create a monster, he saw three red dots appear on his right. They were still small, so the intruder wasn’t nearby. Wondering why there were three dots, he looked at Brittany, and commanded, “I want you to go investigate possible intruders to the right of us. Make sure that they don’t see you.”
“Yes, Master,” Brittany responded to his request.
Telling the girls to stay where they were, Han sat on a large rock and made spikes materialize. Throwing the spike at a nearby tree, he started to design his family’s crest.
When he was nearly halfway finished, he received a message from Brittany, “Master, there are three students that are heading towards Master."
"The group belongs to the one with the second prince in it, and from their expression, they are likely looking to cause trouble for Master. I believe that one of the members has the ability to track other classmates, cause they periodically stop to check that they are going in the right direction." She explained.
"Master, what would you like me to do?”
“I want you to continue following them, but do not engage. I am curious as to what their intentions are.” Han informed Brittany.
Looking to see Selene and Lithia chatting with little sense of awareness for their surroundings, Han decided to move forward with his prior idea.
“Selene, I need to take a quick restroom break, so I will be walking a little ways away from the two of you. Make sure that both of you stay vigilant." He warned.
"Even though we may not have encountered beasts, you do not know when they can appear,” Han said.
After hearing their acknowledgment, Han walked out of sight and teleported to a nearby tree’s upper branch. He sat on top of the branch and calmly waited for what was about to happen.
“Master, they will be passing by you soon,” Brittany said to him.
Seeing the red globe getting bigger, he soon noticed Eric’s group rushing towards Selene and Lithia. When they reached the tree that Han was sitting on, they slowed down.
Standing next to the tree, the three of them whispered their plan before looking ready to startle the two unsuspecting girls.
Calmly stepping out so they could be seen, they waited until Selene and Lithia noticed them. There was a flash of confusion as Eric realized that Han wasn't with the girls. He also looked disappointed by not seeing Brittany with the girls.
They didn’t realize that Han was watching them from up high. Observing all of their movements and aware of their plotting.
Lithia was the first to notice Eric’s group. She quickly yelled out, “Sister!”
Whipping her head, Selene saw the three boys and with a trembling voice asked, “Why are you here? If you are going to the ruins, you are going in the wrong direction.” She attempted to direct them, hoping that it was all a misunderstanding on her part.
“We already know how to get to the ruins,” Eric snickered at Selene’s frightened expression. “Since people, like myself, would not have trouble reaching the ruins we thought that some fun would be well deserved.” The other two boys laughed wickedly at Eric’s joke.

“What do you think you are doing with my teammate?” Han said to Eric, as he calmly sat on the tree branch.
Eric spun around and looked to Han, his face exposing his surprise.
One of the boys reached for his sword and pulled it out, while the other raised a staff to prepare a spell.
“Mind your own business. I am just going to see what commoners feel like, so just go on your way if you do not want to get hurt.” Eric threatened Han.
“That is such a coincidence, I was going to tell you the exact same thing. If you do not want to get hurt, I advise you, three, to leave and stay out of my sight.” Han chuckled.
“I am the Second Prince of the Great Lunar Empire. If I want to, I could have an army come and destroy your pathetic family! Now scram, before you make me any angrier.” Eric snarled.
Lifting both hands and shrugging his shoulders, Han said, “The problem is that I am not scared of your tiny empire.”
Han jumped down and stood near the three students who stepped back.
Raising one of his hands, a crackling noise was heard as Han made a ball of plasma materialized. The plasma radiated massive amounts of heat, making the three boys take several more steps back.
“Do you know what this is? This ball of plasma is so hot that if it hit you, there would be nothing left. You would be consumed so quickly and thoroughly that there would not even be ashes.” Han coolly tossed the ball back and forth, between his two hands.
“I think the three of you need a demonstration.” Taking the ball of plasma, Han increased the size, so it was nearly five times as large. With a flick of his wrist, Han made the ball hit a tree that was a hundred feet away.
The part of the tree directly touched by the plasma being incinerated was an understatement, sublimating into a gaseous state. An instance passed before the rest of the tree exploded into thousands of pieces due to the sap expanding and the moisture evaporating.
Before doing this, Han had placed a barrier around himself and the sisters. Fragments of the tree flew out in all directions, becoming like thousands of daggers.
If the tree had been close by, the splinters would have killed the three students before they even realized it. With the tree far enough away, the splinters still hit the three boys, but they weren’t life-threatening. Han watched as the boys were on the ground, screaming in pain.
As they were rolling on the ground, one of them was still able to cast a healing spell on the three of them. Because the spell had to cover three people, instead of one, the strength was greatly diminished.
The boy had to case it several times before the sharp pieces of the tree were pushed out from their skin. It took a minute before they stumbled to their feet, the two boys holding Eric up who was still out of it.
When he regained his bearing, Eric looked at Han with a deep hatred. “I will make you regret this!!” He screamed.
Not wanting to continue, the three quickly retreated away from Han, tripping over the occasional tree root that was sticking out of the ground.
Looking at Selene, who was still standing in front of Lithia, Han walked over to her. “I am sorry that I was not able to arrive sooner,” he told her, trying to sound grieved.
He, also, removed the barrier that was protecting Selene and her sister.
Seeing Han, Selene hurried towards him and embraced him, while bawling her eyes out. “I was so scared!” She cried out, her body shaking in fright.
Holding Selene, Han stroked her hair to calm her down. A part of him felt guilty about doing that to her, but this would also serve to be an important life lesson for the two of them.
Monsters weren’t the only thing that they needed to look out for in this world.
