Greigh's Point of View
Near Helmsforth Battlements
It’d been a few days since Arthur left, and we began work on the project. While I wasn’t sure what the finished product would really look like or mean, I believed in Arthur’s decision regardless. He kept an opening in the wall specifically reserved for this. The battlements would overlook the beginning process until it was too far out of sight.
The banging sounds of industry were drowned out by an overly enthralled Elf. “This is truly incredible!” Ayda said excitedly as we supervised everything.
Ziah was the one to respond. “What do you mean?”
“Arthur’s project will make ground transportation of resources and other goods far more applicable than carts or even airships in some cases.” The Elf explained. “If this works, it is very possible that in the near future, the transportation industry will be completely changed.”
“Yes. He did mention that in passing.” I spoke up. “The General has likely had this planned for some time now.”
“Why do you think that?” Ziah asked me.
Ayda replied before I could. “The placement of these tracks would be impossible without tearing down parts of Arthur’s wall. However, he left room for movement inside the city limits and outside. That includes a few key points where he left vacant gates purposefully in his original design.” She answered. “Even the path that he plans on taking to other cities and towns is incredibly thought out.”
Then I finished with, “That, and he’s been hoarding the necessary resources for quite some time. We should be able to connect more easily with the eastern coast, south, and north.”
“Do you ever feel like the General knows a lot more than he is letting on?” Ziah questioned.

Ayda and I glanced at each other before she nodded. “With the blueprints he gave me and the amount of detail added, of that, I have no doubt.”
“Ayda!” All of us turned as a voice called out throughout all the hubbub.
“Cass?” I greeted a little concerned about how tired she looked.
Barely giving me a passing glance, she stepped before Ayda. “Ah need ta talk to ya.”
That got me to quirk a brow. “Is something wrong, Cass?”
“No.” She replied evenly. “Ah just need an Elf, and Ayda’s the best there is.”
Ayda, to her credit, seemed a little surprised at the praise. “Oh. Uh,” She looked at me, and I nodded. “Sure. Would you like to speak in private?”
Cassidy nodded. “Please.” Grabbing Ayda, she dragged her off, which seemed to startle the Elf, but she didn’t protest.
Ziah watched them from beside me. “Should I follow them?”
“No.” She looked at me. “Both seem to be doing better, and Arthur said to help them if they came to us. He didn’t say to spy on them.”
Cassidy's Point of View
Reed Farmstead
“May I ask what this is about?” Ayda inquired.
She’d been patient. Far more than I expected of her. We had left the city and moved through the outskirts to my home. It felt odd saying that. After all, it had been passed on to me.
Moving inside the kitchen, I gestured for her to sit down. She did so, albeit a little lost as to what this was all about. Grabbing something for the two of us to drink, she watched as I set it down in front of her before sitting on the opposite side of her.
“Cass,” She began, and I looked at her. “What is this about?”

“Can ya put up some manner of soundproofing spell?”
Quirking a brow, Ayda did as I asked after a moment. “Now?”
Swirling the cup’s contents around in a hypnotic manner, I finally answered. “Ah need yer help.”
“With?”
“Ah’m aware this isn’t exactly legal, but Ah’m gonna ask anyway.” That immediately made Ayda warier. “What do ya know about runes and enchantment?”
The Elf regarded the question with suspicion. “More than my fair share. Not very practical in actual combat if not done beforehand. Dwarves have their own manner of runes, just like the Dragons. Enchantment is extremely different across all our races, yet at its core, it is the built upon the same foundation.” Ayda explained, but my lack of reaction seemed to unnerve her. “But you knew all this, did you not?”
I shrugged. “Not the finer details, but the general gist, I guess.”

The Archaic Elements
A fantasy world, its own unique power-up system, some mystery aspects to make it look interesting and an MC that should make sense but well messes up, cause plot. Flashy fights. Characters will use their brain, unless it is an arrogant young master that needs to be taught a lesson. The starting is slow and maybe boring. The main MC does not desire great strength or harbor any great ambition. He starts out as a naive, lazy and a boring person. But the story does hold one aspect which will fuel the growth of our MC, which is his boundless curiosity for adventure and his will to explore. The second MC is a reincarnation/transmigration and he has a clear cut aim that he needs to achieve. His past life experiences also becomes a pillar that will help guide the main MC, while his friend also supports him. The writing is slow and steady. I will provide reasonings behind most happenings and keep it a logical story. It's a WIP as I edit the previous chapters even as I release more, so while the content doesn't change, the style and smoothness improve. The current release rate is 3 chapter/week. There is no specific date as I can get sidetracked or forgetful., but I will try to stick to Tues, Thurs and Sunday releases.

Slime of Gluttony
_____ ___, a completely and utterly deplorable person. Lazy, apathetic, and unmotivated. He spends his time as a shut-in, wasting his life away doing nothing of importance. This is the life of the man, a life of no importance. At the impulse of desiring food, he left his small and cramped apartment. Regretting his actions immediately, he was left with the prospect of a complete panic attack due to the numerous amount of people outside at that day. However, he pressed on, determined to find some sort of delicious food to consume. Life had other plans for him. He gets hit by a car, and after hearing strange words from an even stranger voice, he dies. However, minutes, hours, maybe even days later, he awakes, his senses of smell, sight, and hearing robbed of him. Author's Note: This is my first story on Royal Road, so it might not be the best. Although, I hope you enjoy! I'll probably write around 2000 words or more per chapter, but on average a bit more. If you're wondering, the cover art is drawn by me, just in case you thought I wasn't giving credit to the creator. This story might often times lean more into the comedy side of things, but stuff can still get pretty serious at times, especially in the later chapters. The story isn't super dark or anything, but character death is of course going to be a thing. Who? Well, you'll find out, eventually. Also, I'll upload chapters on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I hope you enjoy reading this little hobby of mine!

Unique Fusion Magic Hex
World Essence. The mysterious energy coursing throughout the entire land of Vor'ten, and very possibly the entire world. This energy has allowed humanity to flourish, building great empires and vast kingdoms, conquering nature itself with just a sweep of their hand. Humans were the strongest existence, and with the help of channeling this World Essence, many were able to turn into Magic Knights, gaining magical abilities to combat the various fierce beasts throughout the lands.Alas... those glory days of old were long gone. Humanity has now been pushed to the brink of destruction, and now the remaining members of the human race are encased within giant domes known as 'Alkkras', made with the last remaining bits of the World Essence. It was said that those giant domes were the last gifts left by the remnants of the ancient human race, as a means to protect the future generation from the attacks of the many wild beasts roaming outside. Five Spiritualist Invokers, all combined together, used the last bit of the World Essence and sacrificed their lives to lay a gigantic, 1028-seal formation magic array to form these barriers, forever saving humanity, but also trapping humanity within these barriers. However, the humans were never completely helpless. No matter how little World Essence was left, the humans still had some remaining. Realizing the incoming crisis, the humans found a way to seal World Essence inside a special type of crystal. Soon, these crystals began to become implanted into weapons, turning them into World Essence Weapons, and they began to display properties of their own. Extreme heat. Bone chilling cold. Absurd sharpness. These normal weapons, after being imbued with the energy of the World Essence Crystals, began to form natural affinities to elements. Fire. Water. Earth. Wind. Darkness. Light. Using these weapons, one could become a Chevalier that wielded the power of the elements. However, if one wanted to reach a higher level of enlightenment and understanding, one could become an Invoker. Via the study of magic array formations, one could directly use the power of the World Essence to cast devastating magics upon the enemy. These people were Invokers, highly valued for their combat potential by the Army. These weapons and magical arrays were used in the great fight between the humans and the beasts long ago. They had long since been put away in storage, almost long forgotten...However, after ten-thousand years of suppression, the human race is beginning its counterattack against the Beasts... Synth was an Invoker in the Magecroft Academy. However, his talent was terrible, being only at the Spark Stage. This led to him being looked down upon and bullied. He was unable to cast any Calamity-rank or even Destruction rank spells, and was only able to cast Coalescing rank spells at the age of 17, a record low in the academy for cultivating these rare Invokers. Even though he put in more effort than anyone else, he was still unable to advance his Channeling Energy. But due to his constant research and study, Synth ended up creating a power that would go against the heavens - he had found how to Fuse spells together. After trying it out once, merging the magical array for the Small Fireball and the Mortal Judgement skills, he was able to create a mid-rank Destruction tier spell, Holy Judgement Flame. However, after this, no matter how hard he tried, he was unable to fuse more spells together or even cast them, and noticed a weird, pentagram shaped formation on his left arm. He would later call this mark the Fusion Magic Hex, a curse that prevented the wielder from casting magic that wasn't their own...This meant that with the exception of Synth's newly created skill, , he was going to have to create unique magic arrays if he ever wanted to step on the path of becoming an Invoker! This power that destroyed the laws of the Invoking System, and his unyielding persistence in testing and creating new spells, would later gain Synth the nickname the Unique Fusion Hex, and lead him to become one of the strongest beings in the entire World!
