After Sam and Jen purchased the gambling quest and left the System Shop, Sam spotted Slim just a moment before Slim leaped up onto his shoulder and proceeded to try and sit on Sam’s head.

Jen laughed as Sam said, “What the hell Slim?”

Slim sighed and replied, “Log, be a good human while I let everyone around know that I am in charge here.” Then Slim paused for a second as he stared intently at Sam and Jen, and said, “What skill are you two using that is draining so much of your mana?”

Sam shrugged, as he said, “Jen can explain that, but I have something for you.”

Slim rolled his eyes, and said, “Of course she will. I didn’t expect you to be able to explain anything complicated Log.”

Sam just laughed at Slim’s comments as he hurried over to a knee-high wall outside of the arena. He’d been waiting to give this to Slim ever since he returned from the gnome district. Sam pulled out a small round can from his ring, set it on the wall. He then pulled a tab unsealing and opening the can with a “creeshhh” sound.

Slim immediately smelled the amazing aroma released from the can and jumped down onto the wall. He only faintly heard Sam explaining about how he purchased it in the gnome district, but he did hear it, and said, “Do you have more?” as he tried to lick every scrap of the Turgo fish out of the can.

Sam called the fish “Tuna” because that’s what it reminded him of, and replied, “No, that’s all the Tuna I have. I wasn’t sure if you would like it or not. I’ll try to get some more when I get a chance though.”

Slim glanced at Jen, as he said, “Good! Because that damn dungeon just moved over near there somewhere, and I’m not going anywhere near it!”

Jen replied, “What? The City dungeon moved! It can do that?”

Slim pawed at the can of Tuna clearly frustrated that it was empty, and pretended to be an expert, and said, “Of course little one, this is the Seven Decks. What I can tell you for sure is that a few days ago the dungeon was over near the lumber merchants guild hall, then it shifted someplace over near the gnome district. I got the Seven Decks away from that area as fast as possible.”

Jen nodded her head in thought, but changed the topic saying, “That’s interesting, and I would like to discuss more later, but Tamako used a very power enchanted spear in a recall fight, and in just a couple of minutes Tamako is going to be running out of the arena with a bunch of other women that look like her. She’s also going to be wearing a forgetmenot(Jen, Sam, Slim) necklace, but I would like for you to make sure no one follows her.”

Slim kicked the can off the wall and onto the ground, and said, “That sounds fair in exchange for the tuna Sam just gave me.”

“No, the tuna was a gift from Sam. You don’t have to help. I’m asking you as a ‘friend’ to help.”

Sam snickered internally as he watched Slim’s eyed frown and his ears drop back in frustration. Slim turned and Sam thought he was going to lope away from the arena, when he then turned back to Jen and with almost a hiss, said, “Fine! Whatever! But only since I have absolutely nothing to do right now.”

Jen smiled and replied “You’re the best Slim. Thank you!”

As Slim loped towards the arena, he said, “Fine! But you owe me on.”

Jen replied, “Do not!”

“Do too!”

“Do not!”

Sam laughed at how Jen somehow pulled Slim into such a childish reaction with her. He couldn’t “hear” messages from Slim nearly as far as Jen, but he could tell the back and forth with Jen went on a while.
