Then I noticed a new potential system function, but it did not say what it was about.

'System that is a new system menu right?'

It really was!

Ahh... Just perfect!

System functions were my strongest tools by a very long shot, so knowing that there will be a new one brought me tremendous joy!

A wide grin could not help but sneak on my face.

'So why is its name hidden?'

[So that you won't be able to actively work toward it, but earn it by simply doing what you'd normally do.]

Hmm... I see, it seemed to be like some sort of test. Knowing the name of the function would enable me to make some guesses as to how to unlock it, although just the Party function wasn't that intuitive to guess and work toward.

This way I'd have to do some things without the incentive of the system function, so it'd be more 'rightly' earned compared to the others.

Though it was tricky and random, it was very great news for me.

I also had a huge 14 undistributed Stats points and 9 Skill points.

I decisively put all of my 14 points into Spirit. Though arguably there could have been a better use for them, I had some plans in mind and spells to buy that required very High Spirit as a condition.

The moment I allocated all of my 14 points to Spirit, I was horrified to find that I almost let go of the bag I was carrying!

With a soundless bang, I felt my mind jolted which made me involuntarily stiff and lose all control over my body, I awkwardly stumbled mid-air before I hurriedly controlled myself.

I could tell that my map's range increased to a whopping 900 meters, when I previously put my free points on Spirit it did not increase the map's range at all because it worked on increments of one hundred, thanks to that it directly jumped by 200 now.

"Hey, you're alright?", Jia pushed her head a little and asked worriedly.

Due to the sound of the wind and how quietly we were talking the women below were not able to hear us much less Meng Delan who was mounted atop Ashe a further back.

"Yeah, don't worry I was just trying to do some new things using my spirit sense.", I had too many secrets that it was hard to have a simple honest conversation with someone, regardless of how hard I tried to.

It was not like I could tell her that yeah, sorry I just put 14 points in Spirit, and thanks to my various titles given to me by an otherwordly system I have a 200% boost which gave me a sudden jump in power which took me by surprise.

Hearing that she just nodded and gently rubbed my head with her hands. If that was not even more embarrassing I did not know what.

I also had 9 Skill points, but I figured it'd be better to leave them for now because I'd be getting out of the dark and I had several passive skills that needed it which would weaken me to a certain extent, I just did not by much so keeping those points for later use seemed wiser.

Though I was a bit distracted by my new obscure system function and my free points allocation, I was still nervous which only increased the further I moved south.

I also noticed that the trees started to move further apart from each other, though by just a small margin, it was noticeable for me.

Up north, the trees were so numerous and huddled up together that they formed this natural maze of branches and leaves. Which also meant that the further one moved south the more he'd be able to see the sky and the easier flying would get.

That was also one of the reasons I liked staying in the camp due to the view of the sky it provided unlike the rest of the forest.

After what felt like an hour or so of constant flying, I started noticing new plants!

In the forest, there were no plants at all.

There was just that common shrubbery and the trees that strangely resembled the banyan trees with their countless branches.

The sky also seemed to lighten up a bit.

I could feel my heart beating wildly inside of my chest. My mind was also restless imagining what the humans were like in this world, how did their cities look like, how did they live, their cultures, food, music, art, and many other things.

I was not much of a traveler in my previous life due to my poor financial situation, just living from paycheck to paycheck. Working to pay bills and paying bills to work.

So, I was a complete virgin to this feeling of adventure and exploration, but I could see myself getting enamored with it.

"Shams, did you see those new plants? It's an indication that we're slowly leaving the forest behind.", I spoke to him while he was sitting down on top of my back.

"Yes... It's called excitement right that's what you said? I can't wait to see more.", He poked his head from my wing and looked at me while speaking with a big old smile.

After a long while, the trees were so further apart from each other that you could easily see the sky which was getting lighter the further we moved south.

Suddenly! I noticed that those specific types of trees abruptly stopped existing past a line, it looked so perfect and clean that I doubted whether that was the work of nature. Both in the ground and the cloudy sky!

Past that line, I also witnessed something that made my jaw drop and my heart beat even more wildly than before.

Sunlight!

Due to the sheer intensity of the emotions I was feeling, I decided to stop. I also noticed that the women in the bag were very uncomfortable and although they managed to hold for a couple of hours, more than that and it'd be very very unpleasant.

"Jia, tell the women below to prepare. We will be making a stop.", I tilted my head and spoke to Jia.

She did as she was told and when I sensed that the women below were all ready for landing, I did so very gently.

Ashe noticing my descent did the same thing.

The moment I neared the ground Shams ran away and nervously approached the edge of the line looking at the sunlight just a couple of meters away from him with an awestruck expression.

Hurry hurry, I thought.

I wanted the women to get off quickly so I could do the same thing. Never have I ever thought I'd be so excited and in love with the sun.

I missed it so much. For better or worse, it did not remind me of how horrible my life was but the opposite.

Those small walks on the beach, swimming in the ocean, hiking in the forest, and many other pleasant experiences.

Cai Yi and Meng Delan jumped down and Ashe hurriedly followed Shams. The moment the last woman got off the bag, I let go of my grip on it and joined them.

The women looking at us could not help but form a gentle smile, because they too understood what we were going through and they slowly approached us.

For the very first time, their apprehension against the wild demon beasts was no more and we were all united in that beautiful moment of gazing at endless plains of green and yellow under the sun, with hills spread out in every mile some small and others as large as mountains.

Some wild animals seemed to be grazing and frolicking without a care in the world.

At first glance, You could see a dozen kinds of animals, some that looked like hippos though there was no nearby body of water, some strangely resembled bison except for their unnaturally large builds of more than five meters tall, white and black sheep, white deers, brown goats and many more

The multitude of colors was something that left every one of us in awe, especially the one who witnessed it for the very time, Shams.

Looking at the sky it was blue and captivating. There were some birds freely flying in the sky enjoying the wind against their feathers. I also noticed that they were not very strong, the most formidable one was only a Mid-Body Refinement which gave me a bit of courage to fly. Though I was still hesitating.

With a flap of her wings, Ashe jumped and took to the sky with amazing speed and when she reached high enough she closed her wings and started falling at an even greater speed.

Seeing her enjoying herself so freely, I could not contain myself any longer.

I carried Shams with my claws and immediately followed her.

The feeling of flying so freely in the sky without any obstructions in the way, without any care about how high you get, and without being anxious about being seen by some stronger foe even for just a second was liberating.

I was so stressed before that I had not even realized it, I felt like that instant joy when you suddenly cancel some troublesome plans that were only done out of duty, or like the feeling one gets when their strict teacher who had instructed them to do days of homework suddenly calls in sick.

It was the joy of relief and newfound freedom!

I sensed that Shams was also feeling overjoyed by tasting this new experience.

If life in the forest was like eating dry bread every single day, it was now a feast of aromatic wines and heavenly delicacies.

Ashe approached me and started flying in circles around me, I also followed her lead forming a natural dazzling dance in the air.

The women below were all looking at us smiling, Cai Yi included.

Though in their minds I was but someone's beast I could tell that they feel a lot of positive emotions towards me. Humans were very direct and narrow-minded creatures in their emotions, in a good way of course.

If you knew that some elusive organization had helped you in something you were struggling against, you would feel some gratefulness towards them but incomparable to the people who would have directly helped you even though they were sent by it.

Thinking up to there, I thought of doing something extra for them. Since we were at the precipice of great outward change, mainly leaving the dark forest behind and coming in touch with the light.

I figured if I gave them something so that outward change could also act like a catalyst for an inward change and moving on it would be perfect.

I dove down and went straight towards the women, I was shocked to find that they did not immediately start running away like they used to which even solidified my previous idea.

I used my mana to create a gust of winds below Jia which made her float for a couple of meters and I flew directly below her and let go of my control which made her directly land on my back.

I continued flying and rushed back to the forest, after making sure no one was able to see us.

I brought out several gorgeous long-sleeved dresses with gorgeous designs. Of course, I also brought out several options than just beautiful dresses which may overwhelm some of them. There were also some cloaks, trenchcoats, other robes, and some with hoods.

I also brought out a table, several wooden cups, and three bottles of wine that looked expensive just from the material their bottles were made of which was very strong, even relative to the strength of the people of this world.

Something that a High Body Refinement would have trouble breaking.

"What do you want to do with that?", Seeing me bringing all of those different pieces of clothing she asked, though her voice sounded puzzled her eyes were clear and bright and her face smiling.

"A new beginning, I said." Also smiling. I also could not help but feel that I was getting more and more arrogant just dictating how people should feel or not. However, I thought providing the option and the freedom not to choose was also ideal.
