《The Dragon of Dreams》Chapter 98: Real Evidence

Mid Evening - Late Spring : Bahamut
- Osto ~
"My goodness.." -I will never get used to that..- I just came through the space rune and arrived in Bahamut with the ‘evidence’, but my stomach was churned some by the rune. (Motion sickness)
"You seem to struggle with those huh.." The dark gray halfie I had tied up on the ground next to me spoke up to try and poke fun at me.
"Don't act friendly with me.." I gave a harsh glance at him, throwing my aura onto him.
His face paled as he quickly shut back up.
"I hope you have your final words prepared, we are only a couple minutes from the hall." I jumped up onto him and dug my claws into his back to pick him up. With a strong flap of my wings we leapt off the ground and started the last stretch of the trip.
"Argh.." The halfie winced in pain as my claws dug deep into his body.
It wasn't a long flight, but carrying a dragon nearly only a tad smaller than me took quite a bit more energy than I expected. On top of that, I was still queasy from the space rune, so I was quickly drained of energy.
Finally arriving at the Elders hall, I threw the halfie through the open entrance and caught my breath.
"Hooh.. Are any of the elders here?" I spoke to a young blue dragon who was being wary of me by the entrance to the hall.
"Y..yes, they're in a meeting though.." He eyed me and the halfie with a look of concern.
-Well.. I doubt they'll get mad at me even if I barge in once I explain the situation..- Reaching down and biting the neck of the halfie, I started dragging him down the massive hallway.
Once I made it down the hallway, I came up to a huge double door nearly 70 meters tall.

*Bang*
Using my front foot I kicked open one of the doors and walked through, barely managing to resist the wave of ambient aura that flowed out of the door.
Throwing the halfie the rest of the way into the room, I looked around.
8 huge dragons ranging from 43 to 61 meters tall were all staring holes into me. -Where are the other 4?- Usually when they had meetings, all 12 elders would attend, but 4 were missing today.
"You know you aren't supposed to just barge in like that Osto.." Asimi looked at me with a look of disappointment.
"Yeah well this guy was getting on my nerves. I was nervous that if I waited any longer I would've accidentally killed him." I looked down at the halfie with a look of disgust.
"So what do you have here?" A huge dark blue dragon with a deep voice left his seat to come check it out.
-Of course Eugene is here..- He was an elder who never liked me, even when I was young he would try to find ways to get me in trouble. -But I'm not that young anymore.. I'm not so easy to pick on.- I looked him in the eyes with confidence. "Evidence."
"Of what?"
"Connecting the tower to the rebellion."
The elders in the room all raised their eyebrows realizing things were getting fun.
Eugene looked up at me after looking over the halfies body. "These burns.. just who.."
The halfie, even after having a few days to heal, still had huge burns across his body, even having melted scales and most of all his tail was still burnt off.
"I'm not obligated to answer that, Eugene."
"Hmph.." He blew some steam from his nostrils and looked back at the halfie. "How about we start with a little interrogation then."

"I think that's a good place to start, but I'm also curious as to who you reached out to for help Osto." A mature, flirtatious woman's voice met my ears.
I looked up and saw a sleek and beautiful sky blue dragon, around 54 meters tall giving me a flirtatious look. Her name was Basilia and ever since we first met when I was around 90, she would always try to tie a knot with me. Even after I met Zachari and made it public that we were married, -She just refuses to give up..- "Haah.. You'll all meet him eventually. He will come along with my wife and I when we come to Bahamut soon."
"Oh? Well I will look forward to it. Is this mysterious man taken already?"
"No but don't get your hopes up... Can we just start this interrogation?" Trying to shift the subject away from Vasilias, I asked to start the interrogation.
"Right, let's not get off track." Eugene looked down at the halfie with a joyful smile.
Everyone gathered around as the interrogation progressed.
We managed to get all of the evidence we needed to be able to act aggressively on the tower with just a few questions, but the other elders wanted to cure their, ever building, curiosity.
"So you said you weren't the only halfie in the assault team right? Who was the stro-"
"If that's enough evidence, I would like to ask for the elders to mobilize the military on the tower as soon as possible." I decided to interrupt seeing them get off topic again.
"Are you trying to hide something? It's rude to cut off your elders like that." Eugene gave me an intimidating look.
"I would just like to get back to my son as soon as possible. I just don't want to waste time and risk missing something." I gave Eugene a rude look. "You would do the same, quit acting like you wouldn't."
"You left Vasilias alone in Kaelallan again?!" Asimi didn't seem to approve of my act.
"I didn't have much of a choice.." I shrugged my shoulders, carefully watching Asimi's reaction. "Either way, I need to both get back quickly and make sure the tower is.. cleaned."
"About that, if any elders wish to object, I'll use my executive decision." Eugene as the oldest and strongest of the elders in the hall had what was called an executive decision.
It was something that would allow him to vote with the weight of 8 votes so as long as there weren't too many elders opposing him, he could push a vote through. (They do majority rule with each elder getting 1 vote with the oldest getting 2 for tie breakers)
"If you all want to keep asking questions, you can ask all you want after I leave, that halfie is all yours."
"Good." A greedy smile appeared on Eugene's face as he looked at the halfie again.
Deciding it was best to leave before the topic shifted back to Vasilias, I gave my farewell. "Well, since it seems that you all have come to a decision, I will take my leave."
As I walked out, I could feel eyes of suspicion from some of the elders.
-You only doubt me because I'm hiding something.. You’ll find all the evidence you want once you clean the tower.-
*Bang*
Closing the door on my way out, I walked out of the hall and looked up into the sky.
"Haah.." -How in the world am I going to introduce Vasilias to them..-
