Mid Afternoon - Late Spring : Kingdom of Kaelallan
*Thud* *Thud*
"Who is it?" A warm, mature woman's voice rang out. As she quickly moved over to open up the door.
*Clink* The huge doors opened quickly.
"Hey Asimi, it's been a while." Osto gave an awkward smile towards the 43 Meter white-silver dragon behind the doorway.
"Ohh! Quickly come inside, I was just getting ready to eat. So how's my cute son-in-law doing?"
Osto acted all shy and embarrassed. "I'm doing well. I've been on that ‘business’ trip with Vasilias in Kaelallan ."
Asimis eyes lit up hearing the name, "How are my grandbabies doing? Zachari hasn't even written home since they were born.." She pouted at the thought of her daughter.
"Uhm.. Krystallo is doing quite well, she is in her sleep to adolescence right now, as for Vasilias.. well he's an oddball."
"Oh so Krystallo is truly a gem! That's great news. What do you mean by Vasilias being an odd ball though?"
"Well.. I think it'd be better for you to see him in person.." Osto didn't want to explain everything in case it caused some grand misunderstanding.
"Well I won't question you too much about it then, but I'm busy here in Bahamut so I can't visit any time soon.."
"Oh, Zachari said she was going to bring the kids down here once Krystallo wakes up."
"Oh how amazing. So how's Fengari doing? I still believe he will be one of the strongest dragons in Bahamut one day!" -I named him after all!-
"Ah.. about that.."
Seeing his off-putting stance, Asimi froze, "Don't tell me something happened to him.."
"According to Zachari.. he never hatched.."
Asimi stood there as tears started coming to her eyes.
"Although he never hatched, Vasilias found us a new family member, and Vasilias will definitely be the strongest in due time." Osto tried to think of something to cheer her up and settled on talking about Ilios.

"..." -Right, I shouldn't be crying.. fate just works in odd ways... Plus I still have two perfectly healthy grandkids that, according to Osto, are diamonds. I can't cry!- After a moment of her pepping herself up, she wiped away the tears with her claws. That's when she finally thought about what Osto just said, "Wait what? HE FOUND A WIFE AT 10?! Is that what you meant by oddball?!"
"No no no. Nothing like that.. I can't give too much information on him right now since.. it'll cause problems.. but he is a fenrir named Ilios."
"Oh.. so a dog.."
"Not quite.. it's actually a little more complicated.."
Seeing that Osto really didn't want to give extra detail, she decided to move on. "Well I won't prod anymore as long as I see him when they come down. I assume he'll come down with everyone else right?"
"Of course! He's constantly glued to Vasilias, so."
"Alright now let's get to business, I assume you didn't just come to visit your poor old mother-in-law?" Asimi proceeded to act all sad at her remark.
"You dare call yourself old? You're only 243, you still have well over a millennia to go."
"Hey!” *Bonk* “I’m only 242. Also how do you know I'll make it through my ancient sleep?"
Osto rubbed his head from the bonk and gave her an unbelieving look, "You and I both know that you'll make it through that sleep just fine."
"The future is always changing so you never know. Well putting that aside, what did you come back to Bahamut for? You should be enjoying Kaelallan with Vasilias so it better be important."
"I would like to both give some information about the rebellion and request some help."
"I'd normally just send you to Myles but he's.. out of town... Have you not talked to any of the elders?"

"No, no one was in the Hall."
-Of course they weren't.. they never are..- "Ugh, so what information did you want to give."
"Okay so, I'm going to need you to hear me out first."
Asimi raised an eyebrow at his request.
"While in Kaelallan a bunch of things happened. There were several assassination attempts on the king all made by the tower."
"Okay? So how does this connect to us dragons."
"Well.. a halfie was a part of one of the squads that attacked."
"Okay? How does this connect to the rebellion?"
"The halfie was in her dragon form. We managed to get some information out of her luckily."
Asimi froze at the unexpected response. "Continue."
"Well after several events, and information we gathered from various assassins, Vasilias and I have a reason to believe that the tower is the one funding the rebellion."
"Without any concrete evidence that it's connected, we can't intervene.. you know that. I know where you're coming from though.. that would definitely make sense.."
"So is that a no for requesting military assistance?"
"I cant send anyone without the other elders or Myles approval and the elders would never agree and Myles is out of town.."
Asimi took a moment to think of a possible loophole around the scenario.
"Do you know where the headquarters is?"
"Deacia.."
"Haah.. I've got an idea but I'm not sure how you'll be able to pull it off."
"Shoot."
"Although we dragons aren't supposed to intervene too much in the human world, that doesn't mean we can't. You either need to manage to lie low and get some concrete evidence so we can intervene directly, or.." The atmosphere around her darkened significantly, "leave no witnesses."
Osto broke into a cold sweat as the pressure of her aura on him increased.
Asimi put on a devious smile as she looked right into Osto's eyes, "Its not a crime if you arent caught."

Closing the book I was looking at, I set it back on the shelf.
-How in the world has this world even gotten to the medieval era..-
The book I just finished was about math.
Something I wanted to figure out was to see how far along this world is in the realm of math and science.
The first floor of the library was all entertainment books, and the second floor was almost entirely history. It wasn't until I went to the 3rd floor that I managed to find mathematics books.
After extensively looking through the books, the most advanced math I found was moderately advanced algebra.
I had originally expected that there would be some pre-calculus since the structures were so well built but it seems I was wrong.
Somehow, some way, this world managed to build huge medieval palaces and academies without advanced mathematics.
-It must be because of magic.. right?- There was simply no other possibility.. right?
Looking around, I couldn't find anything about science, -maybe magic IS the science of this world..-
It was entirely possible that what I considered science was just integrated as a part of magic. At the very least, there was no information I could find regarding anything beyond extremely basic physics or chemistry.
"Haah.." Closing yet another book and setting it on the shelf, I let out a sigh.
-I still have 3 more floors to go.. not all hope is lost yet..-

A Nerd's Wet Dream Come True (Tossing an OC into Marvel)
John was an average man. At least that's what he tells himself at night. He lived in a rented apartment in the decent district, a well-paying job, and more student debt than he cared to think about being steadily paid off. Yet he was absolutely miserable. He spent his days living like a zombie, a slave in all but name to corporate. His only joy these days it seems was reading comics and writing fanfics. SI ones. Choke full of power fantasies and large harems. Yeah, even he had to admit he was a loser. His only redeeming feature seemed to be his photographic memory and the library's worth of comics and books he has read. Yet, when fate took pity on him and had John transported into the Marvel Universe, he was only all too happy to oblige. A second chance to make something of himself. Is he going to finally have the comfortable life he wanted? Will he laze away relying on his past life's knowledge or does he want more this time? Will his ambition and hard work lead to sweet fruits, or will it rot away in the darkness hiding beneath the colorful costumes of the hero's society? Now with crossovers! Be warned if you don't like to see OCs messing up the timeline or DC and other stuff showing up. I swear I'm not randomly adding stuff and there is a legitimate (as far as comic books and fanfics can be) plot reason why. (I'll be honest, I don't know "cannon" marvel really... I watched some movies and animated series as a kid, but I haven't picked up a comic in years. This is just some light-hearted and casual writing for fun. If there are any errors or something you think would be cool please let me know.) I'm also trying to have multiple main characters so that might be jarring for some people while I switch perspective. Sorry in advance, I'm new at this and idk what I'm doing, advice and feedback gladly welcomed!
