Late Morning - Late Spring : Kingdom of Kaelallan
"Nice to meet you everyone, I will be your teacher for the next few years. My name is.." She froze when she saw me, simply not expecting to see me again.
Seeing my indifference, she decided to just ignore me and continue her introduction.
"Ahem, sorry. Like I was saying, my name is Judy Casas and I will be your teacher for the next few years. I hope we can all get along!"
Although she wasn't exactly pretty, she truly had a bright smile.
"So how about we start with some introductions. Just your first name and a cool talent or hobby you have." Seeing everyones joyful expression, she continued. "Well, let's start in the front."
The introductions went smoothly with all of the students wearing beaming smiles.
The last two to go were Viviana and Lucy.
"My name is Viviana, and my hobby is alchemy."
"Oh, a rare one I see. Alright and last but not least."
"My name is Lucy, and I have a talent for filing papers."
"Oh.. an interesting one. Well anyways, now that our introductions are out of the way, I will start class."
Some people looked back at me, maybe wanting me to introduce myself, but I didn't really care.
"So for today's class, we will go over some history starting all the way back from the 'Great War'.."
For the next few hours she lectured about general information such as kingdoms involved in various wars, or influential figures.
She kept the lecture decently interesting and engaged well with the students but.. mother had already taught me all of this history knowledge.
Figuring I wasn't going to learn anything I didn't already know, I was going to head to the library.
I walked up to Lucy and whispered, "I'm going to the library, you'll be able to find me there if you need something."
After she nodded in response I walked out of the classroom, Miss Judy even stopped her lecture to stare at me. Maybe she thought I was coming for her because she let out a sigh of relief as I walked out.

"Phew.. sorry about that everyone."
"Miss teacher." A young boy in the front raised his hand.
"Yes Johnny?"
"Who was that boy?"
"He was.." before she could say anything, she thought back to the incident earlier, 'He's the dragon killer'. "He was an administrator sitting in on class."
Although administrators did occasionally sit in on classes, they were never so young and wouldnt come around until a few months into the year.
"Are all administrators as strong as him?" A young girl spoke up this time.
"What do you mean Anne?"
"He was the one who um.. hurt that bully earlier."
"..." Judy had a short flashback, remembering the knight getting his face slammed into the floor.
"Miss teacher?"
"Right, ahem, sorry, I just got lost in my own thoughts. He is the strongest administrator here."
"Woahh! Even stronger than the grandmaster?"
"I'm not sure now that you mention it." The grandmaster of the academy is Kaelallans other nation rank, a monster of a ranger mage with a huge reserve for humans. "Well anyways, let's get back to class. As I was saying before 20 years after the great war.."
In the back, Lucy already stopped paying attention since she had already learned what the teacher was talking about from her tutor.
Looking at Viviana, Lucy realized she was still paying attention and didnt have someone to talk to and had nothing to do. She had been petting Ilios until I left so she was getting bored, -I wish I could've gone with them..-
-
In the hallway outside the classroom, I was met with a patrolling knight.
"Kid you should be in your class, do you have a pass from your teacher to be out here?"
Not wanting to go through any hassle, I just pulled out my ID and showed it to him.
"Oh right, you're him. Please forgive my rudeness just now. Is there anything you may need?"

"Actually yeah, do you know where the library is?"
"Yes sir, go down the hall, take a left and go all the way till it dead ends. Take one more left and you'll see the cafeteria on the right. The library is across the hall from it."
-Man that would’ve taken me a bit to find without help..- "Thanks a bunch."
"No worries, it's a bit of a hike but you should find it pretty easily. If you need more directions just ask another knight. Sir Keen already informed us all about you."
"Sweet thanks. Here, have this." Feeling generous, I pulled out the gold coin I made to show Oliver last night and gave it to him.
"Thank you very much sir! Please have a good day."
He gave a deep bow before I walked off.
The hallways were fairly empty with the exception of a couple patrolling knights. -Is security always this tight?-
After several minutes I finally made it to the library.

The door was much thicker than those to other rooms, -probably for sound proofing..- The cafeteria that was across the hall was extremely loud, filled with the chatter of students.
The inside of the library was gargantuan, the ceiling was around 30 meters tall, with 6 floors lined with bookshelves.
"Hm?" An old looking elven man looked at me from behind the desk, "a new face. Are you a newly enrolled student?"
"No, I'm just visiting for a bit."
"Ah, that would explain you not having a uniform."
"Yeah so, I'm just gonna take a look around."
"Visitors and new students must stay on the first floor."
I stopped in my tracks, -that's not gonna work..- I reached into my pocket and showed my ID to the man. "How about now?"
"Oh a royal ID, sorry I failed to notice earlier sir." His face paled slightly.
"You can speak comfortably, I'm going to be spending a lot of time here after all."
"I would not dare address your majesty without honorifics."
He started to break out into a cold sweat, "Do what you want, I guess.."
As I walked away, he said one last thing, "I will always be here in case you need anything sir."
Once I broke line of sight, he fell back into his chair, "Phew.." -to think the dragon killer would come to my library..-
His heart was beating out of his chest as he tried to relax.
Once he relaxed some he pulled out a piece of paper from his desk and hastily started writing something.
-
Looking around the library, I found that most of the bottom floor was books for entertainment, with only a small amount being informational.
Out of curiosity, I pulled out a few of the fairy tails.
One was of a hero that, through many trials and hardships, became a god's apostle and killed a tyrannical king before taking his position.
Another was a similar story except a female lead.
There were many others too, far too many to read but it was genuinely surprising how developed the literature of this world was.
I originally expected the prince charming style of stories, just super basic and cliché but enjoyable. I was pleasantly surprised by the good variety.
-But that's not why I'm here.- Quickly tossing aside my desire to look through other stories, I decided to move on to the second floor.
Looking up at the various floors, I felt that there was a small possibility that the information I wanted to know, I could find.
-Lets see what all is in here, shall we?-
