CHAPTER 50: A group of Alpha Chosen vs monsters.

Back when I was halfway through the 4 hours long training in [Greatsword Mastery], MJ notified me that an Earth's Alpha Chosen named 'Sergei' entered the [Trial World Leaderboard] and ranked 579th.

When I last checked, there were only 167 Alpha Chosen that reached Tier-2.

But, within just 12 hours, another 412 Alpha Chosen entered the rankings in the [Trial World Leaderboard].

Not long after that, Brandon entered the rankings and stood at 592nd on that Leaderboard.

It was no wonder since they were already Lv.9 by the end of Day-1 and when Day-2 began, it wouldn't take more than an hour for them to satisfy the level criteria in the Evolution requirements.

The Evolution process would take no more than 12 hours, and as a result, it was right about the time they reached Tier-2 within the first 13 hours of Day-2.

If I were to point out those with the high chances of survival based on just the identity and occupation of all the Earth's Alpha Chosen, that would be Sergei and Brandon.

Through the information MJ gathered, I learned that Brandon was the best agent that the CIA had ever seen. His aptitudes for an agent and combat skills were above top-notch.

As for Sergei, he was trained by an assassin organization that trains orphaned children into assassins.

By the time Sergei was 24 years old, he was acknowledged as one of the best among the assassins worldwide.

Just his assassin code name, 'Death Shadow' brings terror to anyone who knows his capabilities.

But that was also when the cold-hearted killer slowly fell in love and married a woman. He then left the secret Russian organisation along with his profession.

Later, the organisation didn't take his 'resignation' properly and sent assassins after Sergei.

It didn't take long for the secret assassin organisation to realise that Sergei only left behind his profession, but not his capabilities as all those assassins that went after him disappeared one by one.

Even when Sergei turned his life around, fate hasn't been kind to him as his wife died from a complication while giving birth to their daughter.

Four years passed since then, and one day an assassin from the secret organisation accidentally found Sergei in a small town.

Attracted by the fame he might get from killing the 'Death Shadow', that assassin tried to kill Sergei, but instead of a direct attack, he went after Sergei's 4-year-old daughter.

That only ended with that assassin's horrible death and in turn enraged Sergei to the point he started hunting the secret organisation members.

That was also when he was chosen as one of the 11 Alpha Chosen, and by the time Day-1 ended, Sergei was Lv.9.

With the System's additional abilities on top of his assassination expertise, he went on a killing spree that raised waves within the top brass of major countries along with the CIA where Brandon works as a secret agent.

With MJ keeping track of every Earth's Alpha Chosen through digital networks, none of them even had an idea that someone was watching their every move.

I even knew everything about the conversation between the U.S President, C.I.A Director and Brandon, including their plan to gather the remaining Earth's Alpha Chosen to their side.

But what they didn't know was that 'Olivia', who was ranked 6th among the 11 Earth's Alpha Chosen, already managed to recruit two Alpha Chosen to her side.

She was once in a lifetime genius entrepreneur. At just 26 years old, she became the world's 5th richest person, and as she started her company in the U.K from practically nothing, she was considered an inspiration for the younger generation.

It would have been a wonder if she wasn't chosen for Alpha Program. But what puzzled me was how she was able to find two Alpha Chosen on the Day-1 itself.

With MJ spying on Olivia during the 18-hour rest period, I learned that she communicated with two other alpha Chosen and through their conversation, it seemed that she managed to find them within the Day-1 itself.

Upon learning that, I was puzzled at it, and then MJ concluded that Olivia's Variant Category Innate Talent must have had a way to find others.

Back then, MJ used his Tier-4 System access to find information about the Innate Talent Categories of other Alpha Chosen, and all he could only tell the information about the category of their Innate Talent.

But with MJ's awakening, that wasn't the case anymore since he could find anyone's information as long as they were within MJ's vicinity and not above Tier-4.

As I was looking at the ongoing clash through the eyes of 'Hobgoblin MJ', I turned my attention towards the two Alpha Chosen other than Sergei.

Among those two, one was Kasim, who was ranked 7th among 11 of us.

He won the Mr Olympia title at the young age of 21 years and broke Arnold Schwarzenegger's record by 2 years.

Since then, he continued to be the world's top bodybuilder as he won the Mr Olympia title for the last three years.

True to his 6'2 tall, brawny body, he went head-on against the four Lesser Shadow Leopards and the Lv.12 Greater Shadow Leopard.

Since each of them was within the vicinity, MJ could tell the grades of their Innate Talents.

Just by looking at Kasim conjuring dark-brown earth armour that matched his skin tone, I could tell that his control and mastery over the Earth element was a lot more advanced than mine.

It was no wonder since he has Grade-8[Earth Innate Talent].

Even MJ was taken aback by how high Kasim's Innate Talent's grade was and checked the other's Innate Talents as shocked to find that all four Alpha Chosen in Hobgoblin MJ's view had Grade-8 Innate Talents.

Through our soul connection, I sensed MJ's change in emotions and enquired him about Innate Talent Grades' standard in the previous Trial Programs that happened till then.

Then he explained that according to the system's statistics, the Alpha Chosen in 78.73% of the overall Trial programs that took place in the entire Universe, had Grade-5 Innate Talents or less.

The Trial Programs that had Alpha Chosen with Grade-8 Innate Talents were just 1.43%.

That showed me the rarity of having a Grade-8 Innate Talent.

MJ was eager to find the Innate Talent Grades of the remaining Earth's Alpha Chosen to determine the Grade that Earth would get after assimilation with the System.

It seemed that every Life planet that was assimilated with the System was classified based on the Innate Talents Grade average of that particular Life planet's Alpha Chosen.

Since the Unique Category Innate Talents doesn't have Grades, they weren't included in the Grade that a life planet gets after the System assimilation.

After MJ's quick explanation, I looked at the female Alpha Chosen who stood in front of Olivia's evolution crystal orb as she supported Sergei and Kasim by occasionally healing their injuries with her Light element.

She was the other one that Olivia recruited on Day-1.

I thought back to Andrea's identity on Earth. Even though she was just 25 years old, her medical expertise would put even world-class Surgeons to shame.

Within the medical field, she was among the top few medical professionals. As she was born and raised in the Philippines, she was patriotic towards the Philippines and rejected any high privilege citizenship offers that some other countries made to have her on their side.

After her assimilation with the System, she was chosen by a Grade-8[Light Innate Talent] as its host.

Since she doesn't have any combat experience, she was only Lv.2 by the end of Day-1.

As 14 hours passed on Day-2, she reached Lv.6 and if not for her assistance from behind, Sergei who was just Lv.12, wouldn't have managed to last so long fighting against the Lv.22 Greater Shadow Leopard even with his Grade-8[Darkness Innate Talent].

Even then, I thought highly of him since, if I were also in Lv.12 like him, I wouldn't be able to hold on much longer without using [INVERSE] mode. Then I realised how dependent I was on it.

The major flaws of the [INVERSE] mode were the short weakened period and long cooldown period after exiting that mode.

Since I couldn't exceed Lv.25 without becoming Tier-3, the cooldown duration was also stuck at 250 minutes.

With that, I could enter [INVERSE] mode every 4 hours and 10 minutes to gain 5* Looted Stats upon exiting it every time.

That was also one reason why MJ said it was beneficial to stay in Tier-2 for a while.

Back when I learned that a [Arch Spirit Fruit] was needed to save my grandfather, MJ also told me that another way was to have someone who reached the peak of Stage-4 Mastery in either Wood or Light Element to heal my grandfather.

That was also why I sent MJ to scout the Trial Zone in the hopes to find if any of the other Alpha Chosen had the Innate Talent I was searching for.

When I learned that Andrea has [Light Innate Talent] and moreover a Grade-8 one at that, I saw another possibility of saving my grandfather.

I could just let her die to loot her Innate Talent later, but I told Hobgoblin MJ to save her on second thought.

Because if I were to loot her Grade-8[Light Innate Talent], I only had to focus on reaching the peak of Stage-4[Light Mastery] and even though my comprehension of the Light element would increase by 8 times, it would still take a long time.

So, I intended to take her under my protection and have her complete focus on levelling up her [Light Mastery] without any disturbance and meanwhile, I could walk my own path for power.

Even when the Lesser Shadow Leopard was just a second away from reaching Andrea, I didn't worry about her safety since that was more than enough time for Hobgoblin MJ, who has the same Stats as me.

From sharing his vision, I could see him making a move.

With all the 5 main Attributes in equilibrium, just like me, he experienced 9.7 times True Time perception that literally made every passing second feels like 9.7 seconds.
