Laura

She is the protagonist of this story, despite not always being the bravest or smartest cookie in the box.

Laura was not originally from this world. Before getting stabbed and dying she’d only read about this world in fantasy novels. Thanks to her meta-knowledge, or rather despite not being born here, she knows a fair bit about the System.

However, her assigned skillset does not allow for a life of adventuring as she doesn’t have any means of properly defending herself (not counting the cursed sword). Thankfully she can respawn upon death, so at least that’s not an issue.

Laura’s true problem isn’t her lack of combat Skills, or the family name attached to her which so far has mostly brought trouble, but rather her unwillingness to connect on a deeper level with those around her.

Etienne

He is the love interest. Laura and him have been flirting with each other almost since their first encounter. He also works at the coffee shop ‘Chez Manon’.

He has electricity-based powers, and that’s about all that Laura knows about him.

He also likely likes cycling, since that’s how he gets to and from work every day, but there’s no knowing for sure in the current economy.

Manon

She is the manager and owner of the coffee shop ‘Chez Manon’.

She is stingy with her money and cuts corners with her business, but has an authoritative presence which prevents anyone from speaking up or against her.

Alex

Alexandra is another employee at the coffee shop. Unlike Etienne and Laura, she only works there part-time.

She is shy and somewhat awkward. The consensus on why that is that she has telepathic powers and can read people’s mind ‘by accident’.

Cain

Of the birth-name Thebes, he is one of the most powerful characters in this world. Although he is still very young, he can easily kill dozens of people. Well, in theory at least. In practice he hasn’t quite figured out how to use several skills at once, or how to efficiently predict the next movement of his opponents.

He has been kept in a secret testing facility for unknown reasons for several years, and has been raised in a cult before that.

Despite all that, he is still somewhat of a blank slate in terms of allegiances and beliefs.

Alan

Acalan “Alan” Michaels is another OP character from the original novel. If he weren’t a pacifist at heart, and if his skills weren’t slowly being taken away from him by the one closest to his heart, he would have been a force to be reckoned with.

None of that explains what he’s doing in Paris though.

Huáng Yǔháng Fú

Or simply Huang, is a young, handsome and somewhat successful, accountant at a Chinese firm. He would have lived and died as an average man if not for his unique class and even more unique ambition to achieve immortality.

Good thing he has yet to realise the true power of knowing exactly what every single skill does; or the fact that he is the main character of a certian collection of novels.

Theodgar Müller

A German man with a penchant for art and a distaste for European politics.

He has, somewhat accidentally, found himself in a radical cult after the death of his closet friend Nathalie. But, he has left those circles after some recent events which made him regain hope in his and Nathalie’s common dream of world peace.

Nathalie

A skillfull (pun-intended) anti-mage who can, and on many occasions has, deactivate all magic within an area.

After the end of the War, she quietly retired from her job in the military and got married to a French billionaire. Together they had two children, and lived happily for a while.

However, Nathalie did the mistake of travelling by plane in an era where teleportation was not only easy, but also affordable. She and her children paid the price, as the three of them perished when the plane crashed at sea.

Solomon

A man of a single face but many bodies, David Solomon was the one to hold Cain captive, and subsequently pay the price for it.

To this day, a cure to his sadism has yet to be found.
