《Dungeon from the Void》B3 | Chapter 33 - World Ore

Fenrir
I first start by creating a large wall spanning several meters in height going from one end of the closed off portion to the other, making a little boxed in area inside, before placing a gate at the center of the wall to allow entry.
After that, I go through the inside of the fortress and begin placing small homes scattered throughout it, each being able to hold about half a dozen humans.
Each of the humans will be armed with World Ore swords or spears, along with normal steel armor to make them as cost efficient in mana as possible while also still giving them good gear.
If I am being honest, I think that this World Ore was the best thing that we got from those spiders.
Not the EXP.
Not the patterns, although those were nice too.
It was the World Ore.
According to Dawn, World Ore is an extremely precious metal that is a lot harder than most metals and allows world energy of all elements to flow through it with ease. It is formed when an extreme amount of World Energy is naturally forced into metal over a long period of time, hardening the metal and making it share some of the same properties as the World Energy.
Dawn also mentioned that it might be a good idea to place a mine somewhere in my dungeon later on with World Ore in it to attract miners to the dungeon where they might die.
It sounded like a good idea to me, so I added it to my to do list that is growing at an annoying speed.
Anyways, it takes me a few hours to finish all of the homes within the fortress before I begin working on the keep.
The keep for this fortress will be different from the past fortress keeps I have built.

This one will be built into the walls of the cliff itself instead of in the center of the keep, and will run underground as well as up the cliff.
Within the keep will be a mana infused human, along with dozens of other humans, all guarding the keep from intruders.
I plan on making it so that two different monsters on this floor will be randomly chosen to have the central piece to the key when the intruders enter, and this mana infused human will be one of those two monsters.
The other one will be a mana infused beowolf I will be making wander around the taiga at random.
I briefly pause in my construction of the keep at the thought of the beowolf before looking through the floor to find Dawn still running around in the snow.
Maybe I should put in more than one beowolves?
Although only one of them would be infused with mana, while the others would just wander and lead packs of their own.
Actually, now that I think about it, I was so focused on using loot on this floor that I kind of forgot to decide on what to do for the mini boss itself...
I stare at what will be the mini boss's room for several seconds before going back to work on the keep.
Meh, I can deal with that later.
A few hours pass before I finish the keep with enough mana to spare on spawning in the humans.
Although it was getting pretty close to going below the amount of mana that I calculated that I would need to spawn the humans...
"Are you almost done with the keep yet?" I hear Dawn ask before I find her sitting on a hill near the fort, still in the direwolf's body.

Has she really been running around all of this time?
"Yeah, I just have to spawn in the humans, take a break to recover my mana, and then infuse mana into one of them," I answer her as I begin to spawn in the humans throughout the fortress.
Dawn's wolf body tilts its head to the side as she says, "That's not almost done."
She then takes off at a sprint through the taiga again.
Yeah, so it's not.
I am almost done with the work itself.
I just have to wait to recover my mana before I can finish the fortress in its entirety.
Leon
"So? What do you think?" the construction coordinator asks me as we both look at the finished walls.
The walls start several dozen meters behind my house and go all the way around the entire valley, leaving the city of Wolfdenn with plenty of extra space to expand.
The walls themselves reach nearly a dozen meters in height with a width of about four meters. They are made out of some sort of enhanced steel and were entirely paid for by the funds from Rockfall.
Apparently, it was the enhanced steel part that made it take so long to build.
They had already finished the walls themselves over a month ago, but they had to go through it all again and magically enhance the steel.
It's a good thing that our deal never mentioned what quality I can use for the foundation of Wolfdenn, otherwise we might have had a problem getting them to pay for this wall.
From what I have been told, the mayor was not very happy when he received the bill for the wall.
Luckily, that's not my problem to deal with.
"It looks great," I answer the dwarf before noticing his shoulders relax.
He must have been worried that I would reject the work or something.
It's pretty good work all around, so I don't know why he would be worried.
It's also nice to have walls around us now.
I know that there aren't any Spawn in the immediate area, but there are Spawn above the plateau at the edges of the mountains, and while they haven't moved from there before, there's no telling if they will move now.
After all, just look at what happened in the dungeon.
"Leon!" I hear Aidan shout from below as he climbs the hill to the cliff we are on.
"What?" I ask him, a little curious as to why he left his office to get me.
Ever since I shoved some of my paperwork on him, he has been almost as busy as I am.
"We got a letter from Lord Frost," he says as he comes to a stop in front of us.
"Another Lord?" I mutter as I remember dealing with Lady Fox.
Aidan shivers as he most likely remembers the same thing I am before he hands me a letter and says, "I know, but it's not going to be him that you will be negotiating with. It will be a delegate."
I sigh in relief before accepting the letter.
If I remember correctly, Lord Frost was the one who originally ordered the extermination of the Goblins, so he can also technically be indirectly responsible for me getting these mountains.
At least he isn't Lady Fox...
