No one says anything for a few minutes before Pallus breaks the silence.

"We're sure that she went through this tunnel, right?" He asks, apparently having a difficult time believing it.

I wordlessly nod my head and say, "Yes, we are."

Pallus turns back to the tunnel again and hesitates for a second before saying, "Maybe... maybe we should leave after completing the next level..."

The rest of us all slowly nod our heads in silent agreement.

We best not use up the rest of our luck.

"We should hurry and catch up with her," Kat says, finally breaking us out of our daze.

She's right.

It's best to catch up with her before she does something stupid.

After two more squares, I finally arrive at the stairs to the next floor as I quickly spot Rose and Kat sitting on the top stair while they wait.

"It's about time you arrived!" Rose jokes the moment she sees me.

So, she actually did make it here...

Part of me had my doubts that she could have gotten so lucky, but I guess she really did choose one of the correct squares on her first try.

I grunt before saying, "You two seem to be comfortable."

"Yep!" Rose says as she stretches before laying down across the floor.

She is way too comfortable for someone inside of a dungeon...

I nod my head in greeting to Kat before turning back to the three remaining holes in the ceiling to wait for the others to arrive.

It takes several minutes, but the other two both arrive at the same time on their own square platforms.

Kat and Rose stand up from the stairs with a brief stretch as Charles and Pallus reach the ground in front of us.

"Is everyone ready to move on to the next level?" I ask after Charles and Pallus step off of the squares.

Charles and Kat nod their heads as Pallus says, "Yeah."

Rose pumps her arm into the air and shouts, "Let's go!"

"Alright," I say as I turn to walk down the stairs.

The others follow closely behind me without saying much before we eventually arrive at a fancy looking obsidian door.

Obsidian again?

"Do you think this room has another mana-infused monster in it?" Pallus asks after noticing the obsidian.

I take a moment to study the engravings on the door as I say, "Probably."

The door has a large wolf – similar to the one on the last floor that we had to run away from – standing in between pools of bubbling liquid with its head raised to the ceiling in a prideful manner.

Considering this dungeon's previous use of lava, the liquid is very likely lava, so this room probably has a mana-infused monster and lava at the very least.

Although that isn't anything new.

"Be careful. It looks like we might be fighting the same monster we ran away from before. Or at least a different version of it," I warn the others before pressing my hand against the door and opening it after everyone tells me they are ready.

A wave of heat instantly flows into the stairwell as soon as I open the door.

Yep, that is a lot of lava.

The room behind the door is large with several different pools of lava spread throughout it without a single monster in sight.

Meanwhile, in the center of the room, there is a large square that is split diagonally from corner to corner.

Is that some sort of entrance for the monsters?

"Where are the monsters?" Pallus mutters as we pass through the door.

Kat suddenly steps in front of us and stretches her arm out to block us from walking further as she says, "Stop. There are traps spread throughout the room."

Traps?

Kat grabs something out of a storage item and throws it to the left of us.

As soon as what I can now see is a rock hits the floor, a strange sphere of energy envelopes the area of impact with a diameter of about half a meter.

The sphere seems to be made out of the same strange element we have seen throughout the dungeon. It's black with sparks of black electricity running throughout it while also occasionally jumping out of it.

"What the hell is that?!" Pallus shouts in surprise.

The sphere disappears almost just as quickly as it appeared, leaving a near perfect semicircle dug out of the ground.

"I don't know, but it looks like it would hurt..." I mutter with a hint of anxiety.

I seriously hope I don't trip one of those.

A loud slam can be heard from behind us as the entrance to the room seals shut.

"Get ready!" I shout while drawing my swords.

Several noises can be heard throughout the room as portions of the walls suddenly begin vanishing to reveal several monsters who immediately rush into the room.

A large wolf rushes ahead of the others and targets me.

I shift my weight to avoid its attack before impaling my sword through the wolf's throat.

Interesting.

The entrance in the center of the room didn't open up, so is the room going to be split into waves?

A bipedal wolf shoots an arrow at me that I dodge before he gets hit by one of Rose's arrows.

Well, regardless of if it's split in waves, we still need to kill these fellas first.

Four waves pass by pretty quickly before something changes on the fifth wave.

"Do you think the mini-boss is coming?" Pallus mutters as the center entrance finally opens.

A platform soon comes up from the new entrance carrying about a dozen bipedal wolves along with some large quadrupedal wolves.

"Apparently not," I mutter as I ready myself for another wave.

Fenrir

"How do you think they will fare against the mana-infused beowolf?" Dawn asks me as we watch the intruders fight on the ground level of the tower.

Hmm, that's a good question.

Let's see what level the Hybrid is...

'Identify.'

Name: Leon Raizel

Race: Human/Elf Hybrid

EXP Level: 7

Cultivation Level: 4

"I think they will win," I say after seeing his levels, "The beowolf is only EL 5, so the Hybrid and his party have an advantage against them in levels. That along with their skill in general should be sufficient enough to win."

"You think so?" Dawn asks sounding a little disappointed.

"You sound disappointed," I point out as the intruders clear the eighth wave of the ground level.

Dawn turns a little pink in embarrassment as she says, "Well, I was kind of hoping one of them would die. It doesn't really sit well with me knowing that this group has gone through the dungeon twice now without any casualties; aside from that first guy of course."

That first guy...?

Oh yeah, I almost forgot about him.

Then again, he didn't stay alive for very long.

"Don't worry. We should still get to see a pretty interesting show. After all, even if this beowolf is weaker than Blade, they still get to have some sort of a rematch. Besides, one sided fights are boring," I say in an attempt to comfort her.

Dawn slowly begins to return to her usual blue color before she says, "You have a point."

Despite knowing that they will probably win, it will still be fun to watch them fight.

No one has ever survived against a mana-infused beowolf so far, so this might be the first.

Even if it's a weaker one than Blade.

"Now, the only question left is whether they will be injured in the battle or not," I mutter without taking my attention off of the intruders.
