Leon

A knock sounds from my office door as I sip my tea.

"City Lord, there is someone here to see you," I hear one of the Orcs say from the other side of the door.

I turn to Aidan and nod before saying, "Let them in."

My office door opens, revealing Lady Fox in the same orange outfit she was wearing the previous times I saw her.

"Good evening, Lady Fox," I politely greet her.

She reaches her hand out to me palm up again as she says, "Good evening, Leon."

I lightly kiss her hand again before asking, "What did you want to speak to me about this time?"

Aidan tenses up at my manner of speaking.

Lady Fox seems to notice his reaction and chuckles.

"Your assistant looks pretty tense over there," she says as the Orc closes the door behind her.

Aidan tenses up even more after being addressed.

"Could you please stop scaring my assistant?" I ask her with a sigh.

I still don't understand her, but I am at least starting to get used to her antics by now.

She pouts in disappointment before finally getting down to business, "I wanted to offer another deal."

Another one?

Maybe this one will actually be a real deal?

"What is the deal?" I ask her without beating around the bush at all.

She smirks and says, "Not wasting any time?"

I don't say anything in response as I wait for her answer.

Lady Fox just sighs before saying, "Seeing as you rejected my deal without a second thought the last time I offered, I decided to offer a more balanced deal this time."

Wait, what?

"The deal this time will be a 30% discount on any type of cultivation resource in exchange for allowing us to set up an embassy within the city of Wolfdenn as well as giving my family a quota of one dungeon dive a day," Lady Fox continues, laying out a strange deal.

She wants... an embassy?

The dungeon dive I can understand and am perfectly fine with.

It's not even a tax-exempt dungeon dive; just the guarantee of allowing them one dive a day.

But why does she want an embassy?

"This deal is acceptable, but first, tell me why you want an embassy in the first place?" I ask Lady Fox after thinking about it for a little bit.

She looks happy for some reason as she says, "I can see a lot of potential in this city, so I would like a connection to Wolfdenn. Not only that, but I also find you to be pretty interesting."

She finds me interesting?

I'm not sure how to take that...

"Alright, we have a deal," I say, deciding to ignore what she had just said.

An embassy won't hurt me at all and will help build a connection with a Tier 5, meanwhile the quota for a dungeon dive isn't too much trouble either.

It is only one after all.

Lady Fox leaves again after we sign the blood contract.

"I think I understand why you guys don't like seeing her," Aidan whispers to me a few minutes after she leaves.

I slowly nod my head in silence before reaching for the envelope Kat had handed me earlier.

Now, let's see what this is about.

Hello, Leon Raizel

I am the King of the Drezar Kingdom, Drezar Snow.

As I have been told, you are the leader of my daughter's mercenary party.

What's more is that you are the son of my dear friend, Jake Raizel.

I will elaborate more on this when I eventually meet you in person, but for now I will leave it at this.

The Drezar Kingdom would like to make an official trade deal with the city of Wolfdenn.

I will travel to Wolfdenn personally at a later date to hash out the details with you.

Sincerely,

Drezar Snow

Wait, the king of the Drezar Kingdom is friends with my father?

Fenrir

"Hey Fenrir! I found something you might like!" Dawn suddenly shouts as she appears in front of my core.

I stop building the fourth floor of the tower and focus my attention on Dawn.

"What did you find?" I ask her with some enthusiasm.

She has been bringing me a lot of useful items ever since I reached CL 4 so I look forward to seeing what she will bring me each time she leaves the dungeon.

A flash of blue light shines in front of Dawn as a few different items appear.

One of them is a thin vial of blue liquid.

After that is an average looking silver sword, albeit slightly old in appearance.

Finally, there is a strange looking bracelet.

I study the patterns of each item before absorbing them.

"Oh?" I mutter, piquing Dawn's interest.

"What do they do?" Dawn asks me, brimming with curiosity.

I create another vial of liquid and say, "First, there is the vial. The liquid in this vial is a mana regeneration potion. It will drastically speed up the mana regeneration of whoever ingests the potion."

"Next up is the sword," I say as I make another sword appear out of midair, "it is enchanted with sharpness, which is the first enchant of this type that I have seen before. The only enchants I have done so far are simple ones such as making something happen when something else happens. I haven't tried to make something sharper or harder through an enchant yet, and this could really help that!"

Dawn turns a pinkish red out of happiness as I continue explaining.

"Finally, the bracelet has an enchantment that has a skill infused into it. While it is only a simple fireball skill, it will still help me in learning how to enchant skills into items," I tell Dawn, interested at the thought of infusing skills into items.

Although I don't exactly have very many skills to enchant right now...

Yeah...

At least I should still be able to enchant Identify into an item!

Kind of like those identification stones that those intruders keep bringing!

Then again, this is probably how they made those stones in the first place...

"Thank you, Dawn! These items will be very helpful!"

"It's no problem! I'm just glad that I could help!" Dawn says as I sense a group of intruders enter the dungeon.

I glance at the intruders and find that it's the Hybrid's party entering the dungeon again.

"Huh? That's interesting..." I mutter, catching Dawn's interest as she goes to look at the intruders herself.

Dawn returns to her natural blue color as she notices the intruders, "Oh, them again? They haven't been inside the dungeon for a while."

"Yeah," I mutter before going back to my work on the fifth floor.
