"What are you up to?" Dawn suddenly asks me out of nowhere.
I pause what I am doing to answer, "I am placing void bombs throughout the open space of the fourth floor."
"Oh?" Dawn says while watching me place the black orbs periodically throughout the fourth floor.
I had realized at some point that the fourth floor was severely lacking in the traps department, so I decided that it was the perfect place to implement my new void bombs.
Now the intruders won't be able to just take a relaxing stroll throughout the fourth floor inbetween the wolf dens and goblin villages and instead will have to be wary about the traps scattered throughout the floor.
Dawn continues watching me for a few more minutes before a group of intruders enters the dungeon and catches her attention.
I shoot a brief glance at the intruders before going back to placing void bombs.
"I wish I could reach CL 4 sooner so that I can begin working on a fifth floor," I mumble after seeing the place I marked to be the staircase to the fifth floor whenever I make one.
I already have quite a few ideas that I would like to try for the fifth floor.
Not to mention the new bipedal wolf monsters that I created.
I stop setting up traps and turn my attention towards Dawn as I ask, "Hey Dawn, do you think I should just implement the bipedal wolves in the fourth floor?"
Dawn shifts her attention to me from the intruders before saying, "Nah, you should leave them as a surprise on the fifth floor. Besides, the fourth floor already introduces two new monsters."
"Oh yeah, that's true," I mutter before thanking her and going back to setting up traps.

The fourth floor already has a new monster in the beowolf, as well as the hard-skinned hobgoblins.
I should leave the bipedal wolves to the fifth floor.

"Now, on to the reason why I asked you here!" Damien says, completely blowing over what had just happened.
Wait, is no one going to explain?
Damien turns to me with a serious look on his face as he says, "You haven't had very much time to go into the dungeon, have you?"
I guess he is going to just disregard what happened.
Wait, go into the dungeon?
"I guess I haven't had the time," I mutter before asking, "Why do you ask?"
Damien gives me a blank look before turning to the others.
The others just wordlessly nod in agreement.
He then puts his head into his hands and groans.
"You really should take some time to go into the dungeon and get some EXP on a more regular basis," Damien says in an exhausted tone of voice.
I look at Damien and say, "That's true, but it's not as easy as you'd think."
"I have been buried in paperwork ever since I first left the dungeon. Not to mention the nonstop requests that I have been getting," I continue with a shrug.
Damien sighs and says, "That can be fixed rather easily just by having Aidan assist you with the paperwork."
I open my mouth to respond before pausing and closing it again.
He has a point.
Why didn't I think of that?
I turn towards Aidan as a smile slowly emerges on my face.
Aidan stiffens up the second he sees me looking at him.
"That sounds like a good idea," I say without hiding my intentions.
Aidan opens his mouth to say something but ultimately closes it again with a sigh.

He then shakes his head in defeat and says, "Okay, I will help you with the paperwork."
"Thank you," I tell him before turning back to Damien and saying, "Now I should have the time to go to the dungeon."
Damien looks amused after seeing my interaction with Aidan.
"That's good," Damien says with a chuckle before adding, "It only makes sense that the City Lord gets to use the dungeon within his own city, right?"
I chuckle and say, "That's true, I guess."
"It's about time we went back in," Pallus says enthusiastically.
Kat nods her head in agreement before saying, "True, it was getting a little boring around here."
Pallus turns to look at Damien and asks, "By the way, do you know where Rose has been?"
Damien gets a strange look on his face as he says, "Uh, she has been working as an instructor for the Guild's newest recruits."
Kat, Pallus and I all turn and give him a blank stare.
Rose?

Is It Too Late To Move My Lair?
A legendary dragon... It has been told in the stories for hundreds of years. Some say it keeps a mountain of treasure in its cave, some say it is a vicious beast, some say it protects the village nearby, some claim it can grant their wishes, and some just think it's nothing more than a fairytale. He is not. The dragon is very real, although he isn't bothered by what people think of him in the slightest. He also doesn't have a grand treasure, nor does he grant wishes, like a magical genie. He is not interested in eating humans either. And as for protecting them… well. This is the story of the time before the legends, how they came to life and a dragon in the quest of his snooze. In a nutshell, this is a simple, light-hearted story with a dragon in it. What I have in mind is a relatively short one compared to most of the works on this site, but we'll see where it goes. This is my first attempt at writing something like this, so please be patient and kind in pointing out mistakes. As for the posting schedule... let's say it will be sporadic. Hope you enjoy reading, as much as I do while writing it… THE STORY IS NOT DROPPED, JUST SLOW ON THE UPDATES. Cover art by Nane, aka me. (Cross-posted on Scribble Hub.)

The Rocky Shore
This is a LitRPG series. Every story you read here takes place in the same virtual world, with the same rules and limitations. Characters will travel, explore vast and dangerous realms, overcome obstacles, meet one another, enter into conflicts with one another, forge alliances, make horrible mistakes, and occasionally just die. A technological singularity has been achieved, and humanity has been trapped in a virtual world by a super-intelligent, self-improving artificial intelligence. This program is not malicious at all. In fact, it desires nothing except the happiness and fulfillment of every human it has copied into itself. If its decisions seem strange to you, that's only because its reasoning is far beyond ours. It recognizes that humans cannot be happy without enemies to overcome and goals to achieve, as well as the possibility of failure and death. The world it has created may be heaven or hell, depending on the free choices of the people it contains. The non-player characters who live in this realm have no idea that they are part of a vast computer system. They seem real enough, but there is no way to tell if they are truly self-aware. Even the system that created them isn't certain. This is world in which all the things that humans are used to dealing with in the abstract: skills, talents, knowledge, reputation, social status, morality, even love, exist as readable statistics that players can see and interact with objectively. This has many curious and complex effects on how people perceive themselves and the world around them. A few quick notes on the system: -Death is permanent -The system interface can only be accessed at certain locations. -Magic of diverse kinds is available and useful, but is not a good substitute for skills, physicallity, or mental prowess. Non-magical characters are common and competitive. -There is no inventory system. Characters must physically carry everything they wish to have on their person. -Healing is slow and difficult. Magical Healing is all but unheard of. Protagonists: Raymond Garrison- A man in his late twenties who used to work as a forklift operator in Idaho. His path leads him to work as a mercenary, protecting a small community of humans and goblins from the Seelie Fae who wish to exterminate them. Patricia Chandler- A elderly British woman who arrives in this new world with her grandson Kyle and her granddaughter Elizabeth. Never having dealt with rpg game mechanics before, she is in for a rough time, but she is determined to keep her grandkids alive in a world full of danger and evil. Jamil Mesbah- An Egyptian woman who once worked as a technical writer. Her path leads into a vast and hostile forest, where she must master both her magical abilities and her survival skills in order to succeed. Enjoy your travels, friends.
