Q: Why did you make Hugo such an idiot?

A: I don’t think he is an idiot, he is just young. I tried to make his decision making realistic for his age. He is steadily getting better as he gains experience. I don’t think anyone will call him an idiot soon enough.

Q: Isn’t Hugo OP now? He has two domains and really high stats

A: Kind of. He is more powerful than any other newly soulmarked around, and he is only going to get more powerful. He has slowly earned a lot of experience and his magic power is only going to grow.

On the other hand, he is still weaker than most adult soulmarked. And remember about the soft cap. Even though most adults around the wheel stop ranking up at 32, outside the wheel there are some greats at rank 96.

Hugo will get more and more powerful, but he will never be truly OP for this world.

Q: Speaking of the Wheel, I got the impression that these cities were the biggest and most advanced ones around. Is that true?

A: Nope. This is the only place with shimmer tech, but all of the cities on the wheel are considered kind of backwater cities to the people outside the wheel. Mana shards are easier to get ahold of out there and they power everything out there. The eight cities on the wheel are more of a collection of farming communities and their main export is food.

There are three large nations with large populations out there. They each buy from the wheel and ignore it otherwise.

Q: Will Hugo eventually gain all eight domains?

A: No. He will gain more than the two he has now, but he will never gain all eight.

Q: Will you Publish this book on Amazon?

A: Eventually, yes. I have been editing and I have already made some changes for the eventual publication. I made Hugo’s first life less crappy, the first loop is much sooner so people don’t forget this is a time loop story, and the expulsion from school is rather different. I will be working with my editor to smooth things out. Eventually I will remove books from Royal Road as I publish them, so expect that to happen.

Q: Who makes shimmer tech? Is it a domain?

Shimmer Tech is pure technology, no mana domain involved. It powers the cities, runs everything from sanitation to lights, and enhances the Shimmer corps, all without anyone needing to be soulmarked.

Q: Is Hugo ever going to get back to his own body?

A: Undecided. My original plan was to have him stuck in a body not his own. But some people feel like the story can’t end without him being in his own body. Let me know in the comments if you have a strong feeling about it.
