Character List of Time or Death
This list does include people mentioned in both Arcs to date. I’ve included some people who showed up only in one scene or a small group of scenes, if they’re characters with a bigger impact.
Aki - Crystal Raz removed from the dungeon below the Sunrise Clan holdings
Althyr - Eldest of the Conclave of Dragons, Elder Dragon of Order, Serenity’s mentor
Anna - In charge of assigning new people to groups in the mercenary(?) camp Gustav led Raz to
Blaze - Instructor and Healer. Grumpy with people who don’t follow his advice, completely unsympathetic with people who try to make things worse
Doyle - ally, helped people through trials. Former military; Lost in Shadow, Hidden Arrow Paths
Echo - Cheerful girl, “tutorial mascot”. 16 years old, hard life previously but knows how to deal with people; The Sound of Silence, Baffle Paths
Ekari - Head Administrator of Earth’s Tutorials, instructor. Heretic (or apostate?) because she did not choose to be Lykandeon’s Slave. Wants to be Serenity’s ally but prohibited from telling him so. Shrouded Hope Path
Entherys - Trial instructor. Leader (in his mind) of the conspiracy to kill Serenity. Sent back to his home in disgrace by Order’s Voice
Finley - Gatherer and shopkeeper who overdosed on monster cores; Serenity never got the full story after helping to remove the excess stale essence that was corrupting him
Garrett - Leader of the party Raz is placed into; has a reputation for “losing” trapfinders
Gustav - Recruiter for an unknown group of mercenaries(?) operating on Tzintkra
Kerr (Aardya a’Kerinth) - Weapons instructor who knows Sterath. Looking to have Serenity as an ally. Possible friend
LaCroix - undead student
Lancaster - Police officer who takes Thomas and Rissa’s statements about Macho. Serenity’s friend and ally; Shielding Sword, Steadfast Paths
Liuyedao - ally, helped people through trials. College student, martial artist; Swordmaster Path
Lykandeon - God of Ekari’s homeworld; ascended mortal
Macho - Man who “originally” killed Rissa. Attempts to kill Serenity (twice?). Current status unknown (escaped custody in the Tutorial)
Margrethe - Cleanser for Earth’s Tutorials. Saved Moira. Attempted to kill Serenity twice. Forgiven(?)
Moira - Ambitious mage, wanted to learn “all elements”. Thought Raymond was a friend until he tricked her into attacking Serenity while she was loopy from a misguided attempt to gain Death affinity. Saved by Serenity and Margrethe. Sworn follower to Serenity. Shares emotions with him when they are close enough. Mage; Death Mage Paths

Nightwitch - ally, helped people through trials. Pilot. Former (or maybe current?) military; The Stars Shine Down, Earth Witch Paths
Order’s Voice - Somewhere between an interface and a person. Sometimes speaks to Serenity
Raymond - Lancaster’s partner before the Tutorial. Attacks Serenity twice. Dead
Raz of Clan Sunrise - A Draykin from Asihanya, near Stallet Center. Raz’s Clan was destroyed and he fled to Tzintkra
Rissa - Thomas’s girlfriend; Time Heals All, Time’s Eye Paths
Serenity - Main character; Death-Eater, Battle Adept Paths; Base Form (Tier 0 Evolution) Essence Dragon (currently a Hatchling)
Sillon - Trial instructor. Friend of Serenity
Sunrise - Founder of the Sunrise Clan; Raz’s ancestress
The Final Reaper - Thomas’s final name the first time around
Thomas - Serenity’s name before everything started
Vengeance - Thomas after Rissa’s death the first time around

If you don’t take some Perception, you’re an idiot (personal opinion.... it definitely happens). This guy should take one more Tier 1 Path to max his physical stats. He probably also ought to get more Perception, but having that lag is very common. Some will move right on to the next Tier here, figuring that the better skills will push them through the slight lack of stats.

This guy will need a couple more Paths at Tier 1 to max his stats - but he’ll see the enemy coming. Very useful to have in your party. Almost all will take at least one more Path; the stat penalty’s hard to overcome when you could have twice the physical stats.

Same commentary as the Melee guy, only for Magic this time. He may also want to think about taking some Phys, since those stats are useful; many do, but many don’t.

Hybrids have it hard. At Tier 1, most people focus because of how hard it is to get a hybrid off the ground.
Hybrids have some big advantages in the long term, but they’re definitely long-term plays.

I didn’t include any builds with Luck, because they’re less common. Luck builds can be VERY good, but they’re hard to get and it’s one more place stats end up getting spread out, so it costs more Paths if you want to keep up otherwise.
As you can tell, stat-wise Serenity is sitting roughly at the level of a Level 100 Tier 1 hybrid who has finished his second Path and spent all 200 of his points from leveling - before accounting for Luck. A pure build will beat him in its specialty (at least, before you consider Serenity’s Luck).
Serenity doesn’t have the second set of points available because he’s still Tier 0. His friends are Tier 1, though, so that’s who he needs to be thinking about competing with - though they’re not level 100 yet. Fortunately, he’ll get there relatively soon; he just needs to finish leveling Battle Adept (and evolve but spoiler: that’s not a problem, it’ll happen before he finishes Battle Adept).

Primacy Online
Life on Earth was nearly eradicated in World War III, but using alien technology, the Patriarch of the Church of the Resurrection built a new society from the ashes. He created what he called the Constructed Reality MMORPG, Primacy Online, a world so real that the players could not distinguish it from reality. After outlawing wars between the city-states on Earth, he declared that all wars would be fought inside the world of Primacy Online. Thirteen hundred years later, the release of Primacy Online VI: Legacy of Balor signals the beginning of World War IX. Players from Earth's city-states will be locked in cryogenic capsules and play Primacy Online in War Mode. Their achievements in the game will determine the victory rankings of their city-states, but if they die in the game, they will die for real. Patrick Armagh found flaws in the game mechanics of Primacy Online and exploited them to rise to the peak of the game. But when the Church declared he was cheating, he was perma-banned from the game. Now, the Church has declared that Patrick and all the other perma-banned cheaters will be included in a special Church group for World War IX, where they can earn redemption for their sin of cheating. However, Morgan Danan, Speaker of the City of Mann, and the generally acknowledged number one player of Primacy Online, has a deal for Patrick. With her help and his method of cheating, he has the chance to become a virtual god within Primacy Online, but by taking up her offer, he will become an enemy of the Church. Like a significant percentage of Primacy Online players, Patrick suffers from an ultimately fatal, degenerative nervous system disorder. He has less than five years to live. With death staring him in the face and nothing to live for, he accepts Morgan Danan's offer, and once again, enters Primacy Online as Crom Cruach, a disgraced legend. Will Crom Cruach, once again, become a legend, or will he be destroyed by the Church? What secrets has the Church hidden inside the game?
