Eva looked over at Kristoff and said, "The thought of living that far away from you just doesn't seem right. You're not just my twin, you're my other half, my partner in crime that's always been there by my side and now we're going to be living in different countries and only see each other a few times a year. It's so sad when I think about it," she said quietly.

"Yeah. You're right. That really is sad," Kristoff said, leaning back against the stone castle wall, letting out an exhale, staring off. They both stood there in silence for a minute, feeling the gravity of the situation finally dawning on them.

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a cigarette and lit it, taking in a deep breath and letting it out.

"Kristoff!" she whisper shouted. "You know Mom and Dad will kill you if they catch you smoking."

"Well I guess I better make sure they don't catch me then," he said with a smile, and she punched his arm, rolling her eyes and shaking her head. They stood there in silence as she watched him blow a stream of smoke up into the air as he let out an exhale.

He finally broke the silence. "I hope you'll be happy in Spain and that he'll be good to you. I mean, he seems like a good guy, but If he's not, you know you can call me up and I'll fly there and kick his ass for you," he said.

She grabbed the cigarette out of his hand and took a long drag from it before throwing it on the ground and driving it into the dirt with the front of her shoe.

"I know," she said, letting out an exhale and pulling him into a hug, holding him tight.

He pulled back giving her a pained smile with wet eyes. He never cried, so the fact that he was crying about her leaving meant a lot.

"I'll miss you," he said.

She gave him a weak smile and said, "I know. I'll miss you too."

When Eva walked into the dining hall for lunch Paulo and his Dad were sitting at the table and his Mom, two sisters and another woman she didn't know were standing by the doorway. Paulo's mother, Queen Victoria, walked over as she came in and said, "There she is! Eva, you've already met my daughters, Isadora and Bella but you didn't get a proper introduction. They look like twins but Isadora is twenty three and Bella is twenty one. And this is Bella's best friend Rosalie."

Eva smiled and shook their hands. Isadora and Bella really did look like twins. They both had shiny long, brown hair with blonde highlights and hazel eyes like their brother and lightly tanned skin. They were both medium height and had athletic builds and were very beautiful. Beauty definitely seemed to run in Paulo's family.

Rosalie, the woman the Queen had said was Bella's best friend, had striking blue eyes and shoulder-length blonde hair that was straight and cut in a blunt bob. She was very pretty with smooth tan skin that was lightly freckled around her nose and her red dress was tight and short, with the long crease of her large cleavage visible in the low-cut neckline. She was thin, but curvy with legs that seemed to go on for days. Rosalie would have been much shorter than Eva but the chunky four inch heels she had on made them look almost the same height.

Paulo's Mom and sisters took a seat but Rosalie stayed standing there, looking Eva up and down before saying, "It's nice to finally meet you. I've heard so much about Paulo's fiance."

"From who?" she asked.

"Paulo. I might be Bella's best friend but I've always been VERY close to Paulo too. He's an important part of my life. And just so you know," she said in a cool, deep voice, leaning in and whispering in her ear, not loud enough for the others to hear. "He absolutely hates smokers and I could smell the smoke on your breath from a mile away."

Eva's face flushed and she suddenly felt embarrassed.

"Just trying to help you out," Rosalie said with the very slight hint of a smirk on her face as she walked away and Eva got the feeling she didn't really want to help her out.

Eva had always made it a point not to judge people without getting to know them first but her intuition was telling her there was something about Rosalie that wasn't right.

She gave her the best fake smile she could muster and a little wave as she walked off.

Rosalie walked over and took the empty seat next to Paulo where Eva had been planning to sit and his sister was on his other side so Eva took the seat next to Rosalie so she would be close enough to hear what they were saying.

"Pow Pow," Rosalie said softly, running a finger along the collar of Paulo's suit. "Do you remember that time when we were little and me and you decided we wanted to be Olympic swimmers when we grew up? We swam laps in your pool all day every day for a month before we gave up because we found out you had to be King and didn't get to pick what job you wanted. You remember that?" she laughed, placing a hand on his shoulder and smiling at him.

"Yeah. I remember," he laughed, wiping his mouth with his napkin and smiling back.

"What about that time you were so mad at your parents and we decided to run away together and we slept for two nights in a tent in the woods before we got hungry and decided to go back home. We found out your parents knew where we were the whole time and were just waiting on us to give in," Paulo laughed and his sisters laughed with them too but Eva didn't.

As they were eating lunch Rosalie kept bringing up old stories about things her and Paulo did when they were kids and she would laugh and put her hand on his arm or his shoulder. She did all of this facing Paulo, with her back turned to Eva and that made her feel shut out from their conversation and unwanted. Rosalie was sending her a very clear message.

When he said something funny she smacked his arm playfully with a smile and a laugh, saying, "Oh Pow Pow, You're so silly!"

Apparently Pow Pow was some kind of pet name she had for him and Eva thought it sounded ridiculous. Every time Rosalie said it, it felt like nails on a chalkboard and as the meal went on Eva's irritation grew. Rosalie was way too flirty and touch-feely with Paulo and it was getting more irritating the longer it went on. She also thought it was kind of strange that Rosalie didn't even think that she might want to sit next to her fiance and she just took the chair right next to him without even asking if she wanted to sit there first.

She wasn't sure why she was feeling so jealous about the phone call earlier and now Rosalie. She barely even knew Paulo but regardless of that she still couldn't stand someone else touching and flirting with him. He was going to be her husband after all, and even if it was an arranged marriage, loyalty was really important to her.

A few minutes later one of the royal page's entered and was followed by Eva's Mom, Dad, brother Kristoff and her best friend Astrid. They all sat down at the table, joining them for lunch with Astrid sitting next to Eva.

After sitting there for a few minutes Astrid leaned in and whispered in her ear, "Who's that girl sitting next to you? She seems to be awfully cozy with the Prince."

She was so glad she said that because it justified her feelings and that she wasn't just being paranoid.

"I know right!" she whispered in Astrid's ear. "She's his sister's best friend and she said they're very close."

"Yeah well, it looks like they're a little too close if you ask me," Astrid whispered and gave her a knowing glance.

Rosalie kept Paulo's attention throughout the entire meal and he didn't even speak one word to Eva. After lunch the women had plans to go to town and pick out Eva's wedding dress since everyone was here now. That was the only part of planning the wedding that her Mom hadn't done ahead of time because she wanted all of the female family on both sides to be here to see it.

They went to a local bridal shop that was owned by a very famous dress designer and the entire building had been reserved just for them so that no one else would be there trying on dresses that day. The designer led them to a room filled with custom hand-made wedding gowns, and each one was so beautiful. As Eva walked around and looked at everything, she came around a corner and saw the most beautiful dress she had ever seen on a mannequin.

It was an off the shoulder gown with a beautiful antique lace overlay and long sleeves and it was very form-fitting and had a silver belt of diamonds around the waist. She knew instantly that it was the one. It looked like something from a fairy tale.

"I'd like to try this one on," she told her.

The designer came over and smiled, saying, "Great choice. I just finished this one and I think it's the most beautiful dress I've ever made. Honestly, I've known this wedding was coming up and your Mom had given me your measurements a couple months ago so I started creating this for you. I wanted to make something fit for a princess," she smiled proudly. "I had really hoped you would pick it."

Paulo's Mom and sisters, their friend Rosalie, Eva's Mom, Astrid and Astrid's Mom all sat in the viewing area waiting while Eva went in the changing room with an attendant that helped her put the dress on. They added a crown on top of her head along with a long lace veil and Eva looked at herself and couldn't believe how beautiful she looked in it. She felt like Cinderella.

When she walked out to the waiting area all the women gasped and immediately started saying how much they loved it.

"You're so beautiful! It's perfect!" Astrid said in awe, getting teary eyed.

Eva stood on the platform in front of the mirrors, admiring it from the front and sides. It really was the most beautiful dress she had ever seen and it fit like a glove.

She turned and looked at all of the women and said, "I don't need to try any others on. This is the one."

Her Mom stood up and gave her a hug and so did Paulo's Mom and sisters and they were all crying and taking pictures with their phones.

She couldn't help but notice that all of the women were smiling and happy and congratulating her, except Rosalie. She had been sitting there quietly and seemed rather miserable. It was pretty obvious that Rosalie had feelings for Paulo by the way she had been acting all day.

When they got back to the castle Paulo's sisters and Rosalie ran off together and Eva and Astrid went up to her room and she helped her finish packing the rest of her things up in some moving boxes so she'd be prepared for her move to Spain. Her Mom had suggested hiring people to pack up for her, but she wanted to do it herself. She didn't want other people going through her stuff and messing it up.

When they were done she sat there and let out an exhale, looking at her bedroom that seemed so bare now with everything packed away. She had lived in that room all her life so it felt strange seeing it like that. She still couldn't believe she was getting married to a stranger tomorrow and moving to another country with him. It still didn't seem real.
