More than a year and a half has passed since I began posting The Trials of the Lion here on Royal Road. The support, feedback, and enthusiasm have been a real fire in my heart. Ulrem's journey is far from complete: I am building towards a real storm. I have a clear end-point in mind, and that will take several books to tell. To put him on that path, it is time for the story to take a leap of faith. I am publishing The Trials of the Lion on Kindle and Kindle Unlimited--and soon, Audible.
As many readers may know, working with Amazon means coming to terms with their exclusivity clause. To satisfy that requirement, I will be leaving the first arc of The Trials of the Lion--"Beneath the Broken Tower" here on Royal Road as a sample. I must remove the remainder of the arcs, through "A Bargain of Blood and Flame."
HOWEVER, that doesn't mean I can't continue to publish new arcs and adventures! If you are following the story, my release schedule will follow as before! To celebrate the release of the book, I am currently publishing chapters of Smoke and Steel, a novella set after The Trials of the Lion, every Wednesday and Saturday. And that's just the beginning of what I have in store...

This was my first attempt at writing a story, in hiatus indefinitely. This story follows Silvy, half-elf, a rare race despised by both humans and elves. Having never met her father, the first years of her life were spent together with her mother, who had to leave her native village because of the blasphemy she had committed by giving birth to Silvy.
