Bella came into my room early in the morning. Saying that we were going to Jacobs. I got up and dressed. We walked outside and got in her truck. But what she failed to tell me was that the two old bikes were now in the bed of her truck they were covered by a big blue tarp. It took us a few minutes to get to Jacobs. We pulled up to his house and he comes out with a huge grin on his face.

"Bella." Jacob yelled

Bella hops out, Jacob gives her a big hug. Bella's a little surprised by how affection Jacob is. I however know how Jacob feels about Bella. I jump out of the truck and round the corner.

"Oh my god. Is that really you Ana?" Jacob asked

"In the flesh." I say

"You look...badass." Jacob says

"That's the point." I said

He hugs me then goes back to talking to Bella.

"Bout time you came by." Jacob says

"I brought you something." Bella says

Bella pulls the trap back, revealing the rusted motorcycles. Oh what a surprise.

"Scrap metal. You shouldn't have." Jacob said

"I rescued them from the dump. Thay'd cost more than they're worth to fix...unless one had a mechanic-type friend." Bella said

"Can't your sister fix them?" Jacob asked

"She didn't ask me." I deadpan

"Okay, me, being the mechanic-type friend? Since when are you into motorcycles?" Jacob asked

"Recently." Bella said

"The parts alone will be pricey." Jacob said

"I have a college fund I can dig into." Bella said

"Charlie's gonna love that." Jacob said

"Charlie won't know." Bella said

"Wow. Lying to Dad. Blowing through college money. Repairing dangerous machines - that I'm guessing you'll want to ride?" Jacob asked

"I really get it if you think this is stupid and reckless." Bella said

"Oh it's totally stupid and reckless. What's your input on the matter Ana?" Jacob said

"I really don't care I men I have a bike and I ride it all the time." I said

"When do we start?" Jacob asked

Bella smiles which something I don't think she has done it in a while. Jacob takes the bikes off the bed of the truck by himself without any help. As the day goes on Bella and Jacob laugh and joke, it's as if Jacob had bought her back to life. I fell like someone is watching us. But I can also feel Sam and two others but none of them were the ones that I felt. It was really late when we made it back home. Bella headed off to bed. I went to my room. I turned off all lights. I had a case of candles. Candelas Expande. (Candles Spread). In my head. I watched as the spread around my room. Lux (Light) I said in my head. All the candles lite. I sat on my bed with my legs crossed and my eyes shut. I just repeated the same thing over and over again.

"Seekers nomen volitare et renuntia mihi guid mali populi bella volunt. Seekers nomen volitare et renuntia mihi guid mali populi bella volunt. Seekers nomen volitare et renuntia mihi guid mali populi bella volunt." I just keep repeating (Seekers fly and bring me the name of the people that wish Bella harm.)

I opened my eyes but just keep repeating it. Soon a big ball of light appeared in front of me. It soon broke apart in to smaller ones. Then shot out of the window. I laid back on my bed and just relaxed.

----------Next Day---------

Today started out the same as yesterday. Bella came in and got me up. I got dressed and we left. When we got to Jacob's we walked into the garage to see motorcycle parts spread out on blanks. As the day goes on Jacob moves around the parts like a pro. Bella watches.

"If we're going to be working on this every day, we should probably include some homework. Don't want the Dads to think Ana and I are bad influence on you." Bella said

"The only person here who is a bad influence is Ana." Jacob said

"Haha so not funny." I said

"Plus you guys influence me? Please." Jacob said

"I am older than both you and Ana." Bella said

"Age ain't nothin' but a number." Jacob said

"And I convinced you to secretly build two-wheeled death machines." Bella said

"God, you're right. You're like Satan." Jacob says in mock horror

"Yo, Jake, you in there?" Quil asks

We all turn, Bella starts to pull the tarp over the bikes.

"It's cool, it's just my boys." Jacob says

"You have boys?" I asked

Quil and Embery enter the garage.

"Hay, Jake --" Embry said

They both stop when they see Bella and I. The two guys look at Bella then at Jacob and smile.

"Hey. This is Bella and Ana. Ana, Bella that's Quil and Embry." Jacob said

"So the bike building story is true." Quil said

"Taught him everything he knows." Bella said

"What about the part where you're his girlfriend, Bella?" Quil asked

"Oh, we're just friends." Bella said

"Way to be friend zoned." I said

Jacob glared at me. But Quil and Embry laughed.

"I said she's a girl and a friend." Jacob said scrambling

"Embry, you remember him making that distinction?" Quil asked

"Nope." Embry said

Bella then comes to Jacobs aid.

"So I guess you guys have girlfriends." Bella said

"Right. Quil took his cousin to prom." Jacob says

Embry Jacob and I start laughing, however Quil doesn't find it as funny.

"Yeah, that's still a riot. You want funny, Black? I'll give you funny." Quil said

Quil makes a run at him, Jacob dodges a playful scuffle ensues. Embry amused moves over to Bella and I.

"I got five bucks on Quil." Embry said

"You're on." Bella said

"I'll be banker." I said

The scuffle continues Bella looks like she was having fun. Everyday we did this. We woke up, got dressed, went to Jacob's, spent all day at Jacobs then went home. Been it's been about a month, the bikes beginning to look better and so does Bella. One night we were leaving Jacob's later then normal.

"Quil keeps asking to come over. I think he likes you tow a little too much." Jacob said

"Oh really." I said

"Tell him I'm not into the cougar thing." Bella said

"What is it with you and age? I mean, that Cullen guy was young, didn't seem to...bother you." Jacob said

I see the hurt cross Bella's face at Edward's name. But is see regret on Jacobs face. We say our goodbyes and head home. Event thought Bella spending time with Jacob helped didn't stop the nightmares. I had spent almost every night in Bella rooms trying to help her with the nightmares. I had just started to fall asleep when I heard Bella screams. I was by her side in a second. Dad was running into her room. He starts to shake her.

"You're alright, Bella. You're okay." Dad says

Bella opens her eyes she is crying. Dad doesn't know what to do, so he goes down stairs to get a glass of water and comes back up and gives it to her. He eyes the dreamcatcher.

"This thing's not working very well." Dad says

"It's...not as bad as it was." Bella said

"Yeah right. I know what it's like, you know. When your mom left me. I had a hell of a time. Imagined doing all kinds of crazy things, just to stop the pain." Dad said

We both avoid his look.

"But hanging out with Jacob seems to help get your mid off...things. Just like your sister leaving for those few months." Dad says

"He's been keeping me afloat." Bella says

"That's good. He's a good guy." Dad says

"Go get some sleep Dad I got it from here." I said

He nods his head and leaves the room. Bella lays back down and I help her cover up.

"Close your eyes Bella." I say

She closer her eyes and I lay my hand on her head. I let my mind merge with hers, I take all her pain of Edward away. But the only issues was that I replaced all her pain of Edward with the new happiness she found with Jacob.

----------Next Day---------

So toady once again started off the same as before. It had become routine. We were driving on along the cliffs of La Push.

"We got lucky at the dump. You know how much a new crankshaft goes for?" Jacob asked

"Sure, I spend all my free time on crankshaft-dot-com." Bella said

"I think that's a porn site." I say

"These bikes are gonna be rolling soon. Where should we ride first?" Jacob asked

"Someplace sunny." Bella said

"Like there's any place sunny around here." Jacob said

"I know a place above cloud line--" Bella said

The second she says it I can tell she regrets it.

"Where is it?" Jacob asked

"Actually, it's...to hard to get to." Bella said

"So we'll find our sunny spot, right?" Jacob asked

Bella smiles grateful. She then turns her head and looks out the window over to the cliffs. We keep driving but she slows down.

"Isn't that...Sam Uley?" Bella asked

We all look out the window.

"Yes." I said

"And his cult." Jacob said

Suddenly two of the guys throws a struggling Jared over the cliff. Oh great here we go again. Bella slams on her brakes, Jumps out of the truck, Jacob ns I follow.

"Oh my god. Stop them." Bella says

Bella runs towards them, but hearing Jacob and I laughing slows her down.

"They're not really fighting, Bella." Jacob said

"They're cliff diving." Jacob said

"What, on purpose? Bella asked

"Scary as hell, but a total rush." Jacob said

"I really wish you had not told her that." I said

Bella looks back over to the cliff to see Paul take a running start and flings himself into the air. I can see the gears in Bella's head spinning.

"Most of us jump from lower down." Jacob said

"Speak for yourself." I said

"Think I could?" Bella asked

"Man, first motorcycles, now cliff diving?" Jacob said

"You said it was a rush." Bella said

"Maybe on a warmer day. And not from the top. We'll leave the showing off to Sam and his disciples. And Ana of course." Jacob said

You can hear the bitterness in his voice. We both look at him.

"You don't like them." Bella said

"They think they run this place. Acting all bad ass, calling themselves 'protectors'." Jacob said

"What are they protecting?" Bella asked

Really Bella. Think about that question one more time. I said via twin power.

"The tribe, the land, their right to be jerks. Embry used to call them hall monitors on steroids; now look at him." Jacob said

Bella looks closer and sees the fourth guy on the cliff is Embry, hair now cut short, his once thin frame filled out, his laid back expression gone. I can tell that it pains Jacob. Oh Jacob don't be so down that will be you soon I thought to myself.

"That's Embry? I didn't recognize him. What happened to him?" Bella asked

"He missed some school - then, out of nowhere, he's following Sam around. Same thing happened with Paul and Jared. They weren't even friends, now Sam owns them. Sam keeps giving me this look, like he's waiting for me or something; it's kinda freaking me out." Jacob said

"Maybe you should just avoid them." Bella said

"I try but..." Jacob said

"But the rez is so small." I said

Bella can sees he's unnerved, she hugs him reassuringly.

"Hey. If it gets worse, we'll go to my Dad. Or you can came stay with us." Bella said

"Thanks. If this is how you're going to react, I'll freak out more often." Jacob said

Bella realizes she crossed a line and covers it well. Playfully shoving him. As we head to the truck, I can see out of the corner of my eye Bella looking back. I look back as well to see Sam looking at us. Then he turns and dives right in. We get back in the truck and head to Jacobs we finish for the ay and head home. I mean come on Bella has school tomorrow.
