~Amilla's point of view~
I followed Jared, Embry and Seth down some covered trails that they appeared to know well until we came to a dirt driveway & I could smell something really good cooking. "Man, Emily must be cooking a lot this time." I heard Jared saying before racing up the driveway some of us laughed a bit. "Well, seems like the others are all here." Embry said as I walked beside the two boys and then Seth said to me, "Oh and when you see Emily, don't get freaked out. Sam does not like it." Wondering why I was being told this, but I did not question it as I'm used to the odd during my whole life time.
"Don't worry, I'm not so easy to get bugged out." I replied and soon I could see a wooden style house & the smell of food was stronger than before & I saw Jared just entering the house. It smelled very good, better than most food I've smelt in my life time and smiled to myself as I followed the two boys to the house. Then I wondered again how these guys know about vampires and something seemed a little familiar when I noticed the tattoos on their shoulders & I wondered were I saw the mark from.
When we walked up the short steps, Embry walked in first and Seth held the door open for me & we both walked in where I soon saw the eyes of a few more people turning to look at us. Or rather to look at me seeing as I'm a new face around here. Looking at each one, I counted to see six more people and then I saw that there are only two girls here. Then, I saw one of the guys standing up from one of the girls and noticed the marks on her face which I figured came from an animal. Taking in a deep breath, I stared at the guy that stood up as he walked towards me and Seth. He crossed his arms a bit and said, "Jared informed us about your brother had been turned." I nodded and said, "Yes, I thought he was dead for a long time until Carlisle told me other wise."
Just before any one of them could say anything, the woman that has the scars said, "Alright let's eat first." The guy seemed to have let loose and walked back over to her as I took a seat by the other girl that Seth sat by. Each one of them introduced themselves and I learned that Seth & the other girl Leah are siblings and told them my name. "So how long have you thought your brother was dead?" Quill asked as Emily put food on the table and stopped the guys from grabbing anything until Leah & I took a little bit of the food onto the plates in front of us.
"When I was still young, he was in a bad fight and I was told he died from his injuries." I said and ran a hand through my hair as I took a bite out of the muffin I held in my hand & could taste the blue berries inside it. "How do you know the Cullen's?" Paul asked and already I could tell that he has a tad bit of a temper problem when he said Cullen's. "I'm pretty much their new neighbor and Carlisle knows the people that had changed my brother." I said and I still had the picture that I've drawn of Felix & Demetri. "She's lucky not to have been sucked dry by that Jasper fellow." Leah said as the boys quickly piled food onto their plates. "Jasper had good control of himself when I was there." I said to her and started to eat more of the food. The paper in my pocket was sticking out a bit and then Jacob, or well Jake asked me, "Something else on your mind then Amilla?" I looked at him and shrugged my shoulders before I said, "Yes, what do your tattoos mean?" Sam and the others looked at each other before he asked, "Have you heard of the Quileutes legends?" I was not sure at first what he meant, but then it struck me and my eyes widened & I was surprised when I cut myself slightly with the knife I held while trying to cut into the meat on my plate.

"Ouch." I hissed out and bit my lip while seeing the blood slowly coming out of my finger. Emily gently pulled me up and took me to the other side of the kitchen & got me to wash my finger. She took out a band-aid once I took my finger out from the water and I thanked her. Emily just smiled and said, "You're welcome." Then we walked to the table again and I said before anyone else, "Sorry about that, I'm still a tab bit iffy about that since my first love thought that it was a werewolf that attacked me years ago and thought that I was already dead before going off to kill the man."
~End Amilla's point of view~ No one's point of view~
Each one of them looked at each other wondering what Amilla meant, but Leah did feel sorry for her to have gone through something that painful. Leah then changed the subject by asking, "Where are you from then Amilla?" She smiled a little bit before saying, "Okay, it will be hard to believe but I'm from Pompeii." Everyone looked stunned to hear this because they could clearly tell that she did not smell like one of them and did not smell like a vampire at all & they saw that she could bleed. But then Emily said a little unsure, "Wait, you're 'The Rose' from Pompeii aren't you?" Amilla smiled a bit feeling happy someone does know about her history and said being a little proud, "Yes, the greatest female gladiator ever in history 'The Rose' is me."
"How could you have survived for this long? Pompeii was covered by a volcano exploding years ago and you're clearly not a wolf Shifter like us?!" Paul asked as this did not make sense at all and Amilla looked at the group in surprise before saying, "Well, the thing that had attacked me was a vampire with the gift to turn himself into an animal of his choice." Paul nearly exploded hearing this and Sam restrained him from shifting in the house. "But how? We saw you bleed?" Jared asked and Amilla said to everyone, "It is my gift of humanity meaning that my heart has been beating long after I've been turned and I can eat people food. Never had a drop of blood besides mine by accident when I get super nervous." It still was a shock to the pack that Amilla is a vampire because that they have seen the blood. But hearing that she has not drank blood ever besides her own on accident did calm Paul down.
"Okay before anything else happens, have you all heard one of the older tales telling how a woman that appeared to be human killed a cold one before it harmed a group of children?" Amilla asked and they each could remember hearing that tale before. Then Embry asked, "Wait, that was you?" Amilla nodded her head and said, "Yes and I've made a truce with the tribe that if I don't drink blood from a human then I'm allowed on the land & I did spend some years with them." It was surprising to them that this girl before them is that same girl from the stories they heard and Jake said, "Wow, so if it was not for you then some of us would not be here."
She smiled at the group and said, "Guess so and I'm at least glad to have been included in the legends for helping you're ancestors." The pack had relaxed feeling grateful that this girl even though she is a vampire had saved their ancestors which would have mean that if she had not, then no pack would be here today. "Now, let's eat again." Amilla said with a wide grin and that got them to laugh before everyone started to eat the food while they continued to talk & ask her questions about what it was like during her time as a human and what her first love was like.

The pack, Emily and Amilla got along well & she felt happy sharing her past with these people. "So have you killed anyone during any fights?" Paul asked her wanting to know that fact. "A few times I did, but that was life back then and I never killed a man that has a lady & children waiting for him." Amilla replied as she took a sip of water. "That is rather a thoughtful thing to do back then." Leah said finding Amilla's stories interesting and Amilla smiled as she said, "Yeah and sometimes I do miss those days. It made it easy to live and travel, but now even getting on a plane is hard all because of DB Cooper." That perked some interesting but then Amilla heard a phone ringing.
Glancing around, they saw Emily answering and they got back to talking when Emily said, "Amilla, it's for you." Being only confused for a slight moment, she figured it was the Cullen's and stood up, walked to Emily & gave her a smile before holding the phone to her ear. *Amilla, are you really okay?* The worried voice of Alice spoke through the phone-speaker. "Hold on Alice, I'm okay and no need to worry." She said to calm her down and figured the others could hear on both ends. Amilla started to explain about the old treaty she had made long before they had made theirs and that seemed to calm Alice & the rest of the Cullen's down. *Okay, we got worried when I saw a vision of you going over the line.* Alice said and Amilla told her that it is okay & she'll talk to her later and then hung up.
"Those Cullen's worry too much." Embry said as Amilla sat down nodding in agreement. "True, but I guess it is nice for someone to worry over ya." Amilla said smiling a bit that the Cullen's have been worried about her. Everyone did agree on that saying that it is nice for someone to be worried over another person. "Still, that bloodsucker Edward shouldn't be with Bella." Amilla heard Jake muttering out under his breath and that slightly confused her about who this Bella is. "Who is she?" Amilla asked being a tad bit curious since she never heard Edward was with a girl. "Bella is a human that Edward claims is his 'blood-singer' or something." Jake said and that got Amilla tensed up that a human knows about her kind & such.
"If she's not changed then the Volturi would find out and might come & that would be dangerous for you all because it is a law that no human should know about our world." She said finishing off a muffin feeling tense at the thought the Volturi might send some guards if they are to learn about Edward with a human. Sam was able to hide his worry a bit, but then he said, "Edward wants her to be human because of the treaty that they are not to bite a human either to kill or change." Amilla lightly tapped her foot getting nervous remembering what she had heard about what happened once to Cauis and how he possible now hates wolves no matter if they are 'children of the moon' or not.
"How dangerous would if be if the Volturi already know that Bella knows?" Jake asked knowing Bella had told him a little about that trip to save Edward. "Let's just say, Cauis is not a fan of wolves because he was attacked as a human by a what is known to us as 'child of the moon' and hunted them down to the point no one has seen a real werewolf & I think my 'death' made him hate wolves even more." Amilla said still very nervous about this and it clicked that the Volturi already know. "I'll go to Volturi myself if I have to just so that they do not discover you all." Amilla said with that thought in mind that she would have to face her brother, former friend and ex-lover. "The Cullen's would find some way to get her changed." Jake muttered out to himself, but Amilla heard him and she figured that he cares about this Bella girl.
"Still, the Volturi would send some of the guard to see if she had been turned and it would always be a little while after a date had been set. With this luck since Carlisle was close with the Volturi, they might send my brother and my old friend Demetri." Amilla said knowing stories she had heard from other creatures including her old vampire friend from when she was human told her the rules that the Volturi had put in place. It was a little quiet for a moment until Seth said to me, "So what was your brother like?" The slightly tense air seemed to leave as Amilla smiled and said, "As humans, he would appear to be a brute because of his size and his strength. But he was like a big teddy bear around me." That got them to laugh and Amilla showed them the drawing she had made at the Cullen's house. "I had drawn my brother and my old friend Demetri as I remember them." She said and they started to pass the drawing around for everyone to see. "Pretty cool drawing. So how much you think they would freak out seeing your 'alive'?" Jared asked and Amilla chuckled a bit.
"I think that they would be stunned, start to slightly freak out because of my beating heart, but I think that Cauis would be more stunned and that is when I would punch my brother & Cauis for not seeing and telling me he had been changed." Amilla said but Leah pipped up, "What about that Demetri fellow?" Running a hand through her hair, Amilla said, "He was still human when I was turned so he would have the right to hit me, but he might not seeing we had been good friends." Everyone could understand that this Demetri might be an 'okay vampire' if Amilla wouldn't hit him, but they would have to train in cause the Volturi would send their guards to see the Cullen's.
Seeing the time, Amilla figured that she should head out for a run and stood up. "Anyone want to see how fast I am?" She asked and Paul was the first of them that stood up smirking as he said, "We're faster than vampires." That caused her to smirk a bit and said in return, "Then let's see whom is the fastest." And then raced out the back door with Paul after her. The rest of the pack let out a sigh before getting up to make sure that nothing would happen during the friendly race between vampire and shape-shifting wolf with a temper. Amilla stood by a rock in the backyard as she waited for Paul to come out from the bushes in his wolf form. Jared, Embry, Jake and Seth made bets on who would win with Seth betting that it would be Amilla while the others bet that it would be Paul. Even Leah bet that Amilla would beat Paul in the race thinking that she might have a chance.
"Alright, on three run to the pond straight far out there and run back." Sam said to them both and they nodded before getting into position to start running. Each one of them counted up and once the number three was shouted, Paul & Amilla took off running into the woods leaving some broken branches behind. Letting out a loud laugh, Amilla glanced over at Paul seeing the flash of fur running far ahead of her but she was just holding back. But then she shouted to Paul, "I was also the best runner when I was human Paul!" And then she broke out into a fast run & swiftly ran far far ahead of Paul leaving him in the dust.
As she ran closer to the pond, Amilla thought that she saw a flash of red running towards her until it was too late and was tackled & pinned to the ground. Letting out a gasp of air, she looked up at her attacker to see the blood red eyes and red hair of her female attacker. "You're wolf friends and the Cullen's will do anything to get you back." The woman said with venom in her voice and Amilla roughly pushed her off from her. "I'm not human ya know. I'm a vampire with the humanity gift." Amilla said before using her speed to rush around her to prove it and the vampire was shocked. "I've heard about you. My name is Victoria." The vampire said as Amilla stood in front of her and rubbed her own neck around the area that Victoria had held her.
"Well my name is Amilla and you should hurry before Paul catches your scent. This is still wolf land so you better run Victoria." Amilla said to her and Victoria nodded her head before saying, "I know, but thank you for telling me Amilla. Goodbye until we meet again." Then Victoria quickly ran off and Amilla thought that something was a tad bit off about her & she could see that Victoria had suffered something bad. Then Amilla quickly ran to the pond and picked up a flower before tucking it into her jacket & ran back to the house passing Paul whom caught the scent that was on Amilla and ran after her thinking that it was Victoria.
Seeing and hearing how Paul was growling & chasing her, Amilla was not sure what was going on and jumped up into a tree with Paul trying to get her. "Paul enough!" Shouted the voice of Sam as he and the rest of the pack appeared to stop Paul from attacking anymore. Feeling somewhat safe, Amilla jumped down and saw that Paul came back out from a bush transformed back into his normal self. "Sorry, but she has that red-heads scent on her." Paul said with a growl and shook almost as if he would turn back into a wolf. The rest of the pack looked at Paul before looking at Amilla and now they could smell Victoria on her. It did confuse Amilla why they got so tensed until Sam asked, "What happened Amilla?"
Amilla looked at him before she said, "While running close to the pond, Victoria tackled me and she was going to use me against you all & the Cullen's until I proved to her that I was a vampire. She backed off saying she has heard of me and thanked me for telling her about what land she's on before saying 'Goodbye until we meet again' then she ran off." Seeing the looks on her friends faces, Seth was the first to speak and said, "She's dangerous and is planning something Amilla." Looking at the young boy, Amilla could also see that every single one of the pack had the same look that this Victoria is dangerous.
Sam and the pack explained to me as we walked back to Emily's that this Victoria is dangerous & had tried to attack many times since her clan members got killed. "Jeez, that must be hard with her showing up around here." I said and some of them nodded their heads. "It is and harder when she jumps over the border." Jared said and I guessed that if the border line was not there than Victoria would not be here. "Then it seems to me that a way to increase a chance to catch Victoria is if the border line is dropped only to hunt her down when she appears." I suggested and several of them looked at me as if I was nuts. Of course I had expected that to be a reaction and Sam was the only one that appeared to be on agreement with me & of course Seth seemed to be thinking that it would be a good idea to do.
"That would have to be discussed with the Cullen's and the elders if that would happen Amilla." Sam said to me and as we got back to the house & headed inside. "Still if no one agrees with the idea then think of how dangerous it would be depending on what Victoria is planning is dangerous and decides to attack here first. I've seen and heard this happening before & if Victoria wants revenge so badly then she might be raising up an army to take on everyone standing in her way." I said and I could see a reaction on everyone's faces & I figured that they or some of them have soul mates here. We all walked inside and several of them said that there should be a meeting to talk about letting the border line be gone only to hunt for this dangerous female vampire. I did feel guilty that I had let her get away, but I did not know she was dangerous and I stopped thinking about it & we all went back to sitting at the table and started to eat again.
Then to ease the air and I could feel, I started to tell them some stories about my old life back while I was human. "I was only a maid which once I started training made it hard to get respect during a fight and they would at first send in animals that would have killed anyone else." I said while telling them that some of the animals had been lions, tigers, several large snakes and even a bear once. "Whoa, that must have been scary." Jake said as he had a glass of pop in his hand. "It was at first, but I scared everyone with taming the animals just how those dog whisperers do on TV." I said while taking a bite from a muffin. Everyone did seem surprised hearing this and I could read from their expressions that they are understanding me a little more than I believe the Cullen's ever would.

Thief of Time
[Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Book 1: The Legend of Tot Synopsis: Claud Primus, a self-declared master thief, has a simple goal. To live forever. It's a rather easy task, for miraculous objects called lifestones are able to extend one's lifespan. These lifestones are best found in the treasuries of nobles, lovely resorts that Claud pays a visit to every so often. Unfortunately, one of those nightly visits go awry, and Claud is forced to escape with just a single lifestone and a box in hand. Normally, that's when things die down. The guards yawn, the gates close, and the night continues. But this time, the night isn't that forgiving. A dozen schemes result in the murder of someone important, and with a convenient scapegoat — Claud — at hand, it doesn't take long for him to be framed as a heinous criminal, wanted for the indirect murder of someone high up...and it just gets worse from there. Book 2: The Moon Lords' Rise Synopsis: As ordered chaos sweeps across Licencia, Claud leaves for Julan Barony, intent on making some profits there. Accompanied by the erstwhile heiress of Julan, a fellow member of the Moon Lords, the two plot against the barony's wealth...as well as a promise to bring about its downfall. Meanwhile, back home, the Moon Lords have busied themselves with digesting their gains. Eyes, however, are beginning to turn to this proverbial fish in a small pond. The fishermen are coming. When they cast their hook, what will Dia and the others do? Book 3: Murders under the Moons Synopsis: In the sleepy town of Nachtville, where Claud and Lily are forced to stop at, a set of nasty murders occurs. Victims scream out in fright, before a spear falls from the sky to end their suffering. Cowed and cautious, the master thief and his partner slink in the shadows, their objective that of home... A new task, however, has fallen on Dia. With a trusty helper at her side, she has to set off towards Nachtville itself, to solve the mystery Claud had abandoned. Faced with an enemy whose sole skillset is geared towards killing, how will they succeed? And what dark secrets will they find? Book 4: In the Dark of the Moons Synopsis: The year has ended. And yet, trouble is unrelenting. A distinguished personage, one that Claud fears, has been found dead in the county, his brains dug out and his body disemboweled. The inquisitors of the White Church have been dispatched to investigate and apprehend the murderer...as well as the person behind this puppet. A foe just like him. Book 5: Moonlit Tides and Darkened Seas Synopsis: A new era has begun. For the privileged, the sands of time dribble away for every passing moment, counting down to the arrival of a entity of mythical proportions. The night now harbours shadows and fog, and operatives of the Moons and the Dark clash in shadow. Claud, as usual, is investigating a spate of nasty disappearances in the city, but little does he know what these disappearances truly mean. And yet, a tide is coming. When it finally breaks, what will he do? Book 6: Secrets in Shadow Synopsis: The person behind a strike that would enter the annals of history flees his home, bringing with him the person closest to his heart into a new land and into a new world. Having left Istrel for the first time in his life, the two of them attempt to settle down in foreign lands, only to be caught in the middle of hostilities between two mighty powers grappling for dominion. Yet, none of that has anything to do with him. Following his desires, Claud eventually makes his way to the fabled Celestia Ruins, a fragment of another world. Bearing witness to truths he cannot yet comprehend, he returns from his exploration, a small break away from the machinations of destiny. One thing, however, is for certain. Destiny will not wait for him. Book 7: Reddest Rage Synopsis: Destiny churns on, heedless of mortal machinations, and Claud watches as the battlegrounds between the Moons and the Dark are drawn up. With the forces of the great Dark occupying Lostfon, Claud comes to a startling realisation — that he may have very well be a murderer of heinous proportions. Grappling with that realisation, he struggles to prepare for his Second Tutorial... Back in Istrel, Dia finds herself confronted with a perennial truth. Even in a time of writhing destiny, the machinations between nobles never cease to end — and unfortunately for her, the group once known as the Moon Lords are forced into dealing with a petty squabble between two counts. With that as solace, he returns to the grim task of understanding and seeking, revisiting an ancient, shattered fragment of another world...unleashing changes that he never knew was possible. Back in Istrel, Dia and the others must now navigate around a familiar spirit, who seeks to investigate the death of his master's Bearer.
