《Cheat List || Taekook》Chapter 18

Taehyung blinked a couple of times as Jungkook waved his hand in front of his face. The grey haired boy looked up with a questioning look on his face, only to be met with a worried Jungkook.
"Tae are you okay? You keep zoning out." Jungkook asked the boy who was sitting in front of him. The idol had asked Taehyung to come over to his apartment so that they could practice a bit more but ever since the older had entered his apartment something about him had seemed a bit off.
It was hard for Jungkook to keep Taehyung with him mentally. Often the older boy's mind zoned of to god knows where and only if Jungkook practically shook the grey haired boy out his trance was when he got his attention back. Something wasn't right with Taehyung, that was as clear as crystal.
However the grey haired boy himself shook his head lightly, the grey strands of his hair slowly moving a bit before a big smile covered his face. "I'm completely fine. Don't worry." The older answered while a hint of sadness was still lacing his voice.
Jungkook sighed softly before he stood up from where he had been sitting and sat down directly next to the other singer. The younger then put a hand on the small of Taehyung's back and looked at the boy with a serious look on his face. "You don't have to lie to me Taehyung. Tell me what happened, maybe I can make you feel better."
As soon as those words left Jungkook's mouth Taehyung's fake smile dropped and made place for a sad look. "Me and my boyfriend got into a pretty bad fight." The older boy admitted before he looked down to the floor, suddenly finding it very intresting. As long as he could avoid the judging eyes of his coach he wouldn't care what he looked at anyway.
Jungkook nodded before he softly began to rub his hand up and down the elder's back in a reassuring way. "I'm sorry Tae." The idol spoke before he stood up from his place on the couch and stuck out his hand to the grey haired boy, waiting for him to take it.
Taehyung looked at Jungkook with a questioning look crossing his features as soon as the boy's hand came into his sight. Of course it was clear to the older that Jungkook meant for him to take his hand and stand up but Taehyung had absolutely no idea why the younger wanted him to stand up.

"Come on Tae, we're gonna do something fun!" The younger suddenly explained before he grabbed Taehyung's hand himself and pulled the boy in a standing position. Taehyung's eyes grew big and he looked at his coach as if he had grown two heads. They were gonna do what?
Jungkook softly laughed at the expression on his team member's face and he began to pull Taehyung towards the front door. "I can't stand to see that sad look on your face. As your coach it is my duty to make you feel better." The younger winked before he got a cap and a face mask from a drawer and put them both on. If Jungkook went out without anything to cover his face from other people he would surely be recognised and he didn't want that at all. This afternoon would be about making Taehyung feel beter and they didn't need anyone interfering.
As soon as Jungkook had put both the cap on his head and the face mask on he quickly put on his coat before he handed Taehyung his coat. The older slowly put it on and before he had even pulled the zipper up completely he was already being dragged towards the elevator. A small smile began to form onto the grey haired boy's face and he shook his head lightly. This was definitely not how he thought that he would spend his afternoon.
Before both boys knew it they were already down on the ground level. Jungkook kept on talking enthusiastically about this great ice cream shop on the other side of the street and he briefly greeted the bouncer next to the door before he took Taehyung's hand in his own and walked together with him inside the shop he wanted to take the older to.
Taehyung's eyes went big as soon as he looked around himself. Bright colours were displayed all around the walls and a big unicorn was plastered on the glass window. The shop overal gave of a very cute vibe and just by seeing all the colours of the rainbow the boy smiled slightly. This whole tactic of Jungkook to make him feel beter might just work.
Jungkook softly pulled the older boy to one of the booths before he took place right in front of Taehyung. "Get whatever you want today okay? It's my treat." The younger announced and immediately Taehyung began to shake his head. No way was he going to just let Jungkook pay for him.

However much room to argue with the other boy's statement wasn't possible because soon one of the waiters of the restaurant stood in front of the two boys with a menu for both. The both of them ordered quickly before the waiter left again, giving the two boys some privacy to talk about whatever they wanted.
"So what made you sign up for the Voice Tae?" Jungkook asked before he looked at the boy in front of him with a genuinly intrested look on his face. Jungkook always was curious why people wanted to participate in a show like this one. The chance of winning was relatively small and it took up a lot of time. Also unlike Jungkook, none of the contestants actually got paid for participating.
Taehyung smiled before he put one elbow on the table and rested his head against his hand. "My best friend actually came up with the idea. I have always loved singing and he thought this was the perfect chance for me." The grey haired boy answered in a happy tone while flashes of his blonde friend filled his mind. Jimin was always the one who pushed him over the edge whenever the boy needed it. Without Jimin had hadn't done half the things he has done up till this day.
"Also he wanted to see Yoongi in real life and according to himself this was his only chance." Taehyung added as he thought of his best friend's obsession for the mint haired rapper. Ever since the blonde had seen Yoongi in that big red chair while he was trying to convice Taehyung to pick his team the boy hadn't shut up about him anymore.
Jungkook began to laugh softly while he shook his head. "He must have been devasted then when you chose me as your coach." The brunette said while a small smile was playing at the corner of his lips. However his eyes grew curious as soon as Taehyung softly began to shake his head.
"He knew I would choose you as my coach if you turned around." Taehyung then casually answered before he realised what he had said. He had just admitted that before he had even begun his audition he had already set his eyes on the boy in front of him. A small red blush began to decorate the boy's cheek and he quickly casted his gaze to the outside world.
"So what you are trying to say is that Yoongi tried his absolute best to get you to join his team while he didn't even had a chance to begin with?" Jungkook then asked while a smirk began to form onto his face. Ohh how the brunette couldn't wait to rub this piece of information into the other coach's face.
Ever since Taehyung's audition his mint haired friend hadn't shut up anymore about how much he had wanted Taehyung to choose him. According to Yoongi Taehyung was a potential winner, as if Jungkook hadn't seen that either. Of course the idol had known the moment Taehyung had chosen him that he had pure gold in his hands with him.
Taehyung awkwardly scratched the back of his neck while he slightly shrugged his shoulders. "I mean I guess so?" The grey haired boy answered a bit unsurely. Yoongi had been without a doubt his second choice but he had always known that if Jungkook would turn around his chair it would be him Taehyung would choose. "He was my second choice though." The boy quickly added before he smiled slightly.
Jungkook nodded and while the two kept on talking non stop about the weirdest topics the waiter brought both of them a huge sorbet. Taehyung immediately looked at his own with big eyes. All sorts of flavoured ice cream and fruits were presented in front of him and blue sprinkles were topping it all off.
Jungkook smiled brightly at him as he saw the sparkle in Taehyung's eyes upon eyeing his sorbet. He had wanted nothing more than to make the older boy happy again. Jungkook had gotten to know the grey haired boy as hardworking and sweet. The fact that he hadn't looked happy at all today just didn't sit right with the brunette.
