《Chaos ; Joker x Reader》17 ~ Housing issue

Rain pours down from the night sky, puddles beginning to form. The setting only fits the situation, as if it were arranged to do so. Footsteps of heavily armed men stomp through the puddles. They are approaching the Elizabeth Arkham Asylum for the Criminally Insane, with a man in a strafe jacket. They push the man forward. "Don't you think this is a tad bit unnecessary? I mean, how bad am I really?" The man laughs.
They escort the man inside the asylum. The man's faded green dyed hair is soaking wet and in his face. The armed men take the man towards a desk. "The Joker is here for his check-in." One of them state.
"We will take him from here." A lady at the desk says.
Masked guards approach and grab the Joker. "I'm not really the one being man-handled, jeez." Joker is dragged off.
Joker is escorted through the asylum, taking in every detail of the layout of the building. He looks at all the cells as he passes by, memorizing who's where. Soon, he arrives at his cell and is thrown inside. "I think I deserve, um, a cleaner suite." Joker says.
"This isn't a hotel, freak." A masked guard states.
"But isn't it? I'm not here permanently. Just a few day stay."
They take him out of the strafe jacket, but handcuff him. The guards lock him inside and walk away. Joker walks around the cell. The cell only contains a small bed and toilet, all which are bolted down. The cell door is a thick steel door, with a little cutout for a window. Even though it has a cutout, the window has bars keeping anyone from reaching in. Joker lays onto the bed, staring at the ceiling.
I haven't even been here long and it's already driving me mad! I need to get out of this shithole. It's so boring here. I need to get back to that girly. I can't have her, uh, thinking she can just get away from me. I told her I'd bring her back if I was ever caught.
Joker is soon interrupted by a masked guard. "You." The guard begins speaking.
"Hmm?" Joker sits up and moves the hair out of his face.

"You killed someone of my friends in the GCPD."
"Oh dear, how terrible I am." Joker rolls his eyes, sarcastically.
"Son of a bitch, this isn't a joke!"
"What? Don't appreciate some dark humor?"
Joker stands up and walks to the door. "You're a sick bastard. I should kill you where you stand." The guard threatens.
The Joker smirks, "then how about you come in and get me, big, scary, masked boy."
The masked guard begins to pull out a key card, but another guard stops him. "Don't try it. He'll kill you. Also even if you lived, you would probably be killed for killing the freak. Let's go." The second guard states.
They walk away. "Come on! Let's have a little fun!" Joker laughs, as he yells after them.
The Joker lays back on the bed and rests his eyes for a little while.
At around midnight, the same guard from before swipes his key card to unlock Joker's cell door. The Joker hears the guard but doesn't move. The guard approaches Joker. "Time to pay, clown," the guard leans over Joker with a knife, "slow and painful, the way you deserve."
Joker opens his eyes and smiles, "is it?"
Joker kicks the knife out of the guard's hand and manages to get the chain of his handcuffs around the neck of the guard, strangling him. The guard puts up a struggle, but in the end, Joker wins the battle. He pats down the body of the guard and gets the key to the handcuffs.
After a couple minutes, Joker emerges from the cell, fully dressed in the masked guard's uniform. Including the mask. He walks through the hallways, looking into cells. "Hmm, what a shame if some were to mysteriously open..." he states.
He begins to unlock the cells using the guard's keycard. The criminals inside stare at him, thinking it's a guard. "Oh, don't worry ladies and gents. It is I, the one and only, Joker. Hey, you!" Joker points at one of them, "be a doll and open some cells, would ya? Thanks."
Joker unlocks one last cell, then tosses the criminal the key card. "Go crazy." Joker tells the criminals.
He opens the door to that last cell, revealing a couple of his goons. "Come on, boys."

The goons exit the cell and follow Joker. Joker pulls out a gun he stole from the dead guard's body. Joker leads his goons to the main room leading to the exit. The guards have soon figured out what's happening and begin to control the situation. A few guards are standing by the exit with batons. "Get them." Joker demands, in a serious, deep tone of voice.
The goons attack the guards, following orders. Joker goes to the front desk. "I had a very disappointing stay. The hospitality was awful, the room was disgusting and bland, also I was very uncomfortable in the handcuffs. What do y'all think I'll do? Kill someone?" Joker tells the lady at the front desk.
A guard charges at Joker and Joker shoots him straight in the middle of the guard's forehead. "I don't get it. I'm harmless." Joker walks off towards the rest of fighting.
The goons have managed to take most of them out. "Alright, chop chop." Joker shoots the remaining guards and walks outside.
The goons follow close behind Joker. "What now, boss?" They ask.
"Someone hot wire a car, uh, if they still even do that anymore." Joker orders.
After a couple minutes, one goon succeeds in hot wiring a car. "Alright, everyone, hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I have to shoot you guys. You see," Joker pushes his hair back and licks his lip out of habit, "If one of you were to get caught, you could snitch and I don't like snitches. So it's better to get rid of all of you."
The goons back up terrified. "Yo, boss, come on man. You don't gotta do this." One of them says.
"Oh, but I want to." Joker shoots each goon.
Blood flows out from the goons' bodies. Joker looks at one, "I never liked you." He states. He checks how many bullets he has left and shoots the goon's dead corpse until he's out. He lets out a sigh, pretty disappointed. "Not as fun as I thought it'd be."
Joker gets in the car and speeds off. He drives into the city and parks in an alley. He looks through the glove box looking for anything helpful: money, gun, etc. There's only a packet of wet wipes, car manual, hair ties, napkins, and chapstick. He grabs the wet wipes and a hair tie. The faded face paint is soon fully wiped from his face and his hair is put into a tiny man bun. He gets out and runs into a 24/7 drug store. He shops around, looking for a anti-viral face mask to cover his scars. He eventually finds a box of masks and removes them from box and shoves them into his pockets. He throws the box into a trash can and walks out of the store. Once outside, he puts on one of the masks and goes to sleep in the car.
Hours later, the sun begins to rise and streaks of yellow, orange, and red soon fill the sky. Y/N's alarm goes off and she slams the clock off her nightstand, "shut up..!" She yells at it.
It keeps on beeping until she finally gets out of bed to turn it off. Y/N goes through her normal, daily morning routine: shower, brush teeth, makeup, get dressed, etc. When she finishes, she rushes to work. Her day consists of working almost nonstop, until 4pm when she gets off. "The bank was so busy today. Anyway bye, Stacey! Good luck on the rest of your shift." Y/N tells a lady as she walks out of the bank.
Joker watches from a little bit down the sidewalk, still without the face paint and hair up. His hair is barely green now, more of a dark brown with green tinting. Y/N walks to her car and Joker rushes behind her, "excuse me, missy?" He asks, in a normal voice, not the normal psychotic voice.
"Yes, sir?" She looks at him.
"Do you work at the bank?"
"Yes I do. Did you need help with anything?" Y/N asks as she leans against her car.
"Actually yes. I have a housing issue and I was wondering...," his voice changes back to old voice and he holds her wrists against the car, "if you'd help me with that, girly."

Jingyi Bo is in Fates Parallel (An Irreverent Fanfiction)
Fates Parallel is a gripping cultivation story, following the adventures of a half-spirit girl with nothing as she grows both as a cultivator and as a person after arriving at the Grand Academy of Spiritual, Martial and Arcane Arts. It features fleshed-out, believable characters, wonderful world-building that informs the course of the plot, and girls who hold hands. Fates Parallel is a very good story, and you should read it! Jingyi Bo is in Fates Parallel is a somewhat tongue-in-cheek look at this same world from a different angle, following a totally regular girl who brings bad luck with her wherever she goes. It features shallow, joke-name characters, a focus on the least interesting parts of a fantastic world, and girls who hold hands (potentially). Jingyi Bo is in Fates Parallel is an amazingly hilarious (so says me) fanfiction and you should read it! (This is a Totally Author Approved Spin-Off (Fanfiction) for Fates Parallel, which you can find in a number of places including here on RoyalRoad! Please do read it!)

I Need Time
An action, adventure, mystery and strategy story about a strong male lead. Author note: First time author, good amount of buffer chapters (over 50k words) so I will not drop this book anytime soon. This book will mostly be from the perspective of the MC. On average +5k words will be published per week. I have not chosen some of the genres and tags as I do not wish to give away parts of the story. I added the content warning tags as there will come a time for profanities, gore and maybe "traumatising" content. Though, in my opinion the content will be mild if not light. *****SPOILER*****SPOILER***** Synopsis: A college ICT student transmigrates to another world filled with magic and learns magic from a dragon. MC uses modern knowledge to develop magitech technology. MC starts his adventure using the technology he develops! Saving princesses, fighting hidden criminal organizations, learning how horribly medieval peasants live, reasoning with uneducated narrow minded people, investigating the nature of magic and searching for gods... Story review: A fantasy/sci-fi story filled with some common cliches yet presents somewhat original ideas and a few unexpected twists & turns here and there. This novel also explores a few of the commonly ignored topics concerning medieval fantasy like hygiene, culture, education(ignorance, narrow mindedness) and the fact that everybody is short because magical crops cost too much. Modern knowledge in such a setting can often times revolutionize the world if the protagonist is not an idiot or weak willed or thinks something stupid like he should not intervene in a society that systematically practices unequality of opportunity, slavery and other nasty things, of course sometimes the protagonist can be just unlucky by being enslaved, etc. In our case we are granted a protagonist who had an initial stroke of luck, learning magic from a dragon instead of struggling for years without it or randomly dieing. After that his luck goes down the drain. It is arguable whether the princess is a good stroke of luck or not, I digress. Anyway the challenges the protagonist must face will grow and no more luck or helping hands. After gaining enough power and security the protagonist will change the world for the better or at least give it a stronge push onto the right track. He will make a lot of lives better but things are never so simple and there is much more to this world than meets the eye... Missing genres & tags: Fantasy, Sci-fi, Magic. *****SPOILER*****SPOILER*****
