it was the next day at school and yuna was just dying to get out of class.
sunghoon had got to skip his last 2 periods due to last minute practice for his competition afterschool that his friends were planning on going to.
the bell finally rung and the teacher dismissed the class.
yuna began packing up her things, stuffing her books into her bag
"hey yuna" yuna put her bag over her shoulder as she saw soovin walk into her class
"hey soovin" she smiled, "have a club meeting?"
"nope. jake actually cancelled it so he can go to sunghoon's competition" soovin responded
"oh that's new" yuna chuckled, "sunghoon will be happy to hear that"
"yup. let's go. do you know if we're getting food after his competition" soovin asked but yuna just shrugged, "then let's get hot pot before going, i've been starving"
soovin linked her arm with yuna's before dragging her out of the class but only to bump into someone else
"oh hey heeseung" yuna greeted
"hey yuna and soovin. where you two heading?"
"getting hot pot before sunghoon's comp. do you want to come with us?" soovin offered
"would love to but i have last minute tutoring with a few of the kids in my study group. i'll meet you two at the comp though"
"sounds good. see you later" yuna smiled as heeseung ruffled her hair before saying bye to the girls and he walked off
"still like him?" soovin asked as they began walking
"of course i do, why wouldn't i like him?" yuna questioned
"you don't seem as shy or red around him as much. your ears are usually a dead giveaway but they haven't been as red" soovin noticed and yuna looked at her weirdly, weirded out of how she even noticed that, "so i thought maybe you're losing feelings"
yuna couldn't deny soovin though.
she could feel herself not feeling the same anymore. she wish her feelings could be easy to figure out but no she kept having to go through these rollercoasters of emotions trying to figure out how she truly felt.
"okay soovin, you're right. i think it's because of what happened with jake" yuna spoke

soovin stopped which caused yuna to stop, "what happened with jake?"
it then hit her that she never told soovin. yuna widened her eyes, shaking her head, "n-nothing! let's go eat!"
"no no!" soovin refused, "tell me"
yuna bit her lip, and gave in, "jake and i..uhm..kissed?"
"you kissed-?!!" soovin shouted and yuna quickly placed her hand over her mouth, muffling her shout
"any louder??" yuna scolded her as soovin shushed herself and yuna sighed
"yes..we did..but it was a mistake!" she quickly clarified herself
"was it yuna? was it?" soovin asked her
"i-i..don't know" yuna ruffled her own hair out of frustration, "can we just go eat?! even i'm confused with how i feel"
soovin nodded and chuckled at the girl
♡
the group of 6 plus yuna and soovin stood around the rink, waiting for the competition to start.
"think sunghoon's going to win?" jake asked yuna
"of course. he always does" yuna responded
"who knows maybe saerom will beat him today" jake chuckled
"who's saerom?" soovin then questioned curiously
yuna roamed her eyes around the rink before pointing to a girl, "see that girl with pink hair?" soovin nodded, "that's noh saerom. she's the next best ice skater next to sunghoon. it's always them against 1st place and usually hoon wins so if i was her, i'd be pretty mad to be constantly losing"
"noh saerom??" soovin asked in shocked and yuna just nodded at her, "a-are her and sunghoon friends or something?
"not that i know of" yuna shrugged
quickly after their short conversation ended, so began the ice skating competition.
there was 8 contestants; 4 boys and 4 girls.
each person's performance was about 5 to 6 minutes long and while a majority of them were good; none of them could beat sunghoon's.
were they biased?
yah, probably.
"next up! is park sunghoon!"
immediately everyone in the crowd cheered. he was infamous for being one of the best skater's and usually always winning. he was also known for being extremely good looking among the girls and just in general
"go sunghoon!!" jake and yuna shouted in unison really loudly

the boy heard this and looked up at the two before giving a slight smile, waving his hand before beginning his performance as the music started
his performance felt so quick even though it was 5 minutes long. his moves were graceful and elegant. not once did he mess up or make a single mistake. he had it down to the core.
he bowed at the end of his performance which made everyone clap and cheer.
the rest of the performances quickly went by and it was now time to announce the winner.
jake and yuna held onto each other's hand tightly, praying for 1st place to just be sunghoon.
"in 3rd place..han yujin!" everyon quickly clapped as the girl got her medal, smiling at everyone and bowing
"now 2nd place is.." the announcer dragged on their sentence, "noh saerom!"
once again everyone clapped as saerom got her medal and bowed to everyone
"i think we all know about 1st place" the announced chuckled, "park sunghoon!"
his group of friends along with his family cheered loudly
"sunghoon!" they all shouted, happy for the boy winning even though it usually happens
sunghoon received a bouquet of flowers along with his 1st place, a bunch of pictures being taken at the same time.
once the whole competition was over, sunghoon quickly skated over to his family and friends.
"we're so proud of you sunghoon" his mother smiled, placing a necklace of flowers around her neck, "can't wait until yeji comes back to see you win"
"thank you mom" he smiled, hugging her tightly.
his mom took his flowers while he went to his friends.
jake and yuna quickly ran to him, hugging him tightly, "so proud of you hoon" yuna spoke
sunghoon chuckled, hugging them back, "love your support guys"
the two pull away before sunghoon realized something and looked at jake, "wait..you actually came?!"
"we had the same reaction" sunoo spoke from behind
jake rolled his eyes at this before nodding, "yes, i came to see you win. i promise to try and come as often as i can"
sunghoon then turned around after hearing him speak.
the group of friends along with his mom looked at each other weirdly.
yuna went to the side of him, checking on before gasping, "why are you crying?"
sunghoon pushed her slightly, "i-i'm not crying!"
jake just laughed at this before patting his back.
sunghoon turned back around after wiping his tears but now his eyes were red, "i'm just happy you came, that's all"
"and you say you hate me" jake scoffed jokingly and now it was sunghoon's time to roll his eyes
quickly the rest of his friends congratulated him and they all took pictures together.
just as they all were about to leave, someone stood in from of them
"s-saerom?" sunghoon stuttered, feeling a bit red, "..did you need something?"
"he likes her.." yuna whispered to jake and the boy nodded in agreement
soovin heard this from yuna and frowned a little bit, covering it up quickly
"nothing" she shook her head, "just came to congratulate you on 1st place"
"oh. thank you" he smiled and just as she was about to turn to walk, "wait saerom"
the girl stopped, looking back at him.
he took a bouquet of flowers from his mom and held it out, "here"
she chuckled lightly, "i don't need your bouquet that you got for winning but thank-"
"actually those are for me" sunghoon pointed to yuna who was holding two bouquets of flowers, "i got these for you before hand"
he could hear sunoo and jungwon ooo from behind and he rolled his eyes at them, "just take them alright?"
she stared at them before taking them, "thank you sunghoon"
he nodded, trying to conceal his smile
saerom then looked at sunoo, "let's go?"
"yup!" he grabbed his bag before saying bye to all his friends and walking away with saerom.
the two were actually best friends since they went to the same school.
sunghoon then turned around seeing all his friends just stare at him
"so you never told your best friends you had a crush?" yuna sighed, "do we not mean anything to you?" she jokingly spoke
sunghoon scoffed, "she is not a crush okay. just..a good friend i guess. now let's go, i'm tired"
the group of friends grabbed their stuff, leaving.
once they were outside, soovin realized she forgot her wallet inside, "i forgot something, you guys go. i'll take the bus home"
"but-" before yuna could speak, soovin ran back inside to get her wallet.
she sat down on the bench and sighed, "good friends.."

Incursions
This blurb concerns Incursions book 1: Incarceration. If you could buy superhuman abilities, but they might kill you—or worse—would you do it? Ten years ago, in a world not so different from our own, people with powerful abilities appeared. The new powers were dangerous, dangerous to acquire—dangerous to have—dangerous to wield. World governments raced to find and eradicate the abilities and those who possess them while using the media to rule by fear. Whereas corporations sought to exploit the abilities for profit. Raz Owens was living the dream - a rising star at a job he enjoys, a girlfriend he loves, but it all comes crashing down when Raz disregards his late father's advice. He is pulled into a chaotic underworld of clandestine labs, shadow organizations, and super-powered criminals. Used as a human test subject in a place where few survive the day, he must last long enough to escape. His only advantage? A power that seems nearly useless—a heads-up display. Contains: monsters, violence, death, dismemberment, gamelit, superpowers, superpower consequences, good guys, bad guys, good guys who might be bad guys, bad guys who think they are good guys, good guys that might go bad, bad guys that might turn good, guns for hire, competence, incompetence, continence, incontinence, conspiracies, and some of what I just said wasn't true. This story is written in third person limited POV. That means you can expect to know many of the thoughts and inner dialog of one character, and only see the actions of other characters. This POV does include scenes without the main character, and thus the reader can and will know things the main character does not. Further, this means characters act on what they know, which is almost always less than the reader knows. Something else to know. These books do not hold your hand. If you're reading it and thinking "Gosh, why aren't 'they' doing some 'obvious' thing." Bad news. You probably missed something that explains exactly that. If you're seeking a light read that doesn't ask much of you as the reader, you're invited and very welcome to come on in, but this might not be the story for you.

Blaze
The story of a fire elemental's life in a world dominated by mages. He will have to learn how to manage betrayals, treachery, and maybe even love as he goes on adventures to find a meaning to it all. From dark, humble beginnings he will rise... or fall, devastating amounts in his journey across the world. Hello, Author here! I am, unfortunately, rather terrible at coming up with descriptions that seem to have the right amount of decorum and yet actually serve their function of adequately describing the story, so here's the coursenotes. - The story follows a fire elemental. (As you can tell from that, it is heavily besed on fantasy with mages and the like. Technology will not feature prominently) -As mentioned in the tags, this will have game-like aspects. (E.G. levels, stats. I will be trying to put my own twist on this notion however, so bear with me if the premise intrests you but you despise LitRpg) -It'll get rather dark, but not devastatingly so. (I'm trying to write a more complex story so it will have its dark moments, the prologue being one of them. Rest assured the whole story will not be this dark, though I'll make sure that no-one is a saint either) -The protagonist/protagonists will not be a Mary-Sue. (The plural will be understood when I'm further into the story. They also won't be impossiby unlikeable such as those in many Light novels.) -There is no prophecy (Anyone who says there is, is lying, trust me.)

Sage Fall
Out of hiatus, but with a hitch. . Read most recent "chapter", Status Update, for more info. Trapped for thousands of years. Betrayed by the ones he held dear, the ones he called family. Finally set free by happenstance, Amrin sets out to find the ones that locked him in the heart of a mountain. Find the answers he's been asking himself while conscious within the darkness. The world has changed in his time away. Learning new things, meeting new people, struggling with questions he may never get the answers to. He will journey through this new world and search for the "family" that betrayed him and figure out why they did it. If they did not have the answers he was looking for, there would be consequences. *This is a VERY HEAVY story driven fiction (read: can be slow!). There are some sections of action, drama and soon/eventually, mature related content (sexuality and gore). There are going to be sections with lots of text and little dialogue. There's going to be sections with lots of dialogue and little descriptive narration. ***Word of warning and advice. To save yourself the potential disappointment! The MC is mostly a pacifist! If you're looking for a super OP protagonist that uses his powers to get what he wants and to hell with the consequences, this story IS NOT for you. There are times when it should be obvious why, other's it's only implied. Either way, if you are expecting "shoot first ask questions later" mentality from the MC, regardless of how powerful he is, save yourself the disappointment and look elsewhere. I want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to all the readers and commenters of my story. It's all the positive feedback and comments that really give me the motivation to keep going. Honestly. It sounds cheesy, but it's true. So, again. Thank you!
