a few weeks had passed since the whole incident and the two just acted like it never happened.
but jake was going crazy over it. he had no one to tell because he didn't know who to tell. it would be awkward telling sunghoon since they were all friends and stuff and he just didn't know what to do.
yuna was getting closer with heeseung and he couldn't even hide his jealously about it and sunghoon was noticing this because it was obvious.
jake kept regretting everything he had done.
realizing yuna's feelings too late, realizing HIS OWN feelings too late, realizing that he probably had no chance at this point
"jake" niki snapped his fingers in front of the boy. he snapped out of his trance and shook his head, "are you good? you keep zoning out"
"yah i've just been thinking about upcoming tests and stressing since the show is in like 2 days" jake reasoned with the boy and niki just nodded, not really believing him
jay then patted jake's shoulder, "don't worry. we'll win your talent show"
jake grinned lightly, "let's just continue with practice"
"we have to wait until lover boy gets off the phone" niki groaned, pointing to heeseung who was talking on the phone, "he's talking with yuna"
"aww they're so cute" sunoo smiled, "surprised they're not dati-" sunghoon quickly covered sunoo's mouth with his hand as he saw jake's frown hinting to his jealously.
"sunghoon can you come with me for a second?"
sunghoon nodded before taking his hand off of sunoo's mouth.
the two then passed by heeseung, jake trying to hold in his anger.
now he knew how yuna felt every time she saw him with soovin.
the two walked out of the building the dance studio was and jake let out a big sigh.

"i feel like you've been bottling up your feelings jake" sunghoon spoke and jake nodded, "what's wrong?"
jake leaned against the wall, running a hand through his hair, "look i didn't tell you this and i don't know if yuna told you-"
"did you and yuna kiss?" sunghoon cut him off and jake widened his eyes
"did she tell you??" he asked, shocked about it
"no but i know yuna never has tinted chapstick because she only uses a certain brand and they don't make tinted chapsticks so i put two and two together" he chuckled lightly, crossing his arms, "but continue. what happened?"
"i was showing yuna the dance and she was just joking about one my parts in the dance and then we talked a little before she came near me and looked at my necklace. then i gripped her wrist and pulled her closer and i was going to just back up at that point but then she pulled me in and we ended up kissing..and i kissed back" he explained and sunghoon nodded, listening to him, "but then she pulled away and then left"
"ahh..that must've hurt" sunghoon said and jake nodded, "what happened when you walked her home?"
"it was just silent but when we got to her house, we both agreed that it was a mistake and that we would just forget it" jake finished is story
"was it really a mistake jake?" sunghoon asked
"well..i don't know" he sighed, "i-i mean like i'm not mad about it but i had no choice but to say it was a mistake..she doesn't like me anymore so i can't just tell her i have feelings"
"jake" sunghoon started, "i think you should just her how you feel at this point. even if she rejects you then at least your feelings are released and maybe it'll let you get over them. though i will say, it's stupid how you're realizing your feelings for yuna so late"

"okay well! i was just confused!" jake sighed, "i don't even know anymore. i think i was just scared of admitting my feelings for her because i didn't want to ruin our friendship and i didn't want it to be awkward. so when i saw soovin, my heart did genuinely race like i genuinely liked her but..my heart didn't race for her anymore after awhile and i found out she didn't really feel the same way anymore anyways. in that time, yuna was spending more time with heeseung and i just got jealous i guess..i really wish i would have noticed my feelings sooner and just confessed earlier. now i'm stuck in this stupid unrequited love. now i know how yuna felt for so long"
sunghoon patted his back, listening to the boy talk and rant about his love problems
'god bless i don't have this problems anymore' sunghoon thought
"thanks for listening but don't tell yuna unless she rants to you about it" jake asked of him and he nodded
"of course"
♡
the 7 boys were leaving the dance studio when sunghoon quickly spotted a girl waiting for them by the entrance of the school
"yuna!" he shouted and the girl looked up from her phone, smiling at the boys before walking towards them
"i was just about to text you two" she smiled at her two best friends, "how was practice?"
"good" jake nodded, "tired though"
yuna patted his head, chuckling afterwards, "you guys have been working hard. my mom made dinner-"
"say no more" sunghoon cut her off and wrapped his arm around the girl and began walking, leaving the other 6 boys behind
yuna rolled her eyes grabbing the boys arm and dragging him back to his friends, "anyone else wanna come? you're all welcomed"
"i would but i need to go home and work on another painting" sunoo sighed
"i'm accompanying him and doing my homework, sorry" jay then responded
"my mom is gonna kill me if i don't go home now" niki spoke, "jungwon is gonna come with me also"
"i have a lot of homework to catch up on but you three can go ahead and go" heeseung said afterwards
"alright then" yuna nodded, "we'll see you tomorrow then"
everyone said there goodbyes and walked opposite ways; yuna, jake, and sunghoon walking the same way to her house.
