heeseung and yuna were talking at the cafe when yuna's phone began ringing
she grabbed her phone out of her purse and looked at the caller ID, "soovin?" she muttered
"you can go take it" heeseung told her and yuna nodded.
she grabbed her phone, standing up and excusing herself from the boy. she exited the cafe and answered soovin's call, putting the phone to her ear
"hey soovin. why'd you call me? i thought you had to help your parents with their shop?"
"help my parents? what are you talking about" soovin spoke, confused
"uh..jake came to my house earlier..he said you needed to help your parents so you guys ended the date early..." yuna responded
"huh? jake was the one who ended it early. i was calling to tell you that we decided to call it off"
"what?!" yuna shouted which made people who were passing by look at her weirdly. she nervously smiled, bowing and apologizing, "what are you talking about? jake was head over heels for you. you liked him too didn't you?"
"he told me that he was sorry that he couldn't do it anymore and that he didn't want to lead me on if his feelings weren't the same as mine" soovin explained
"you don't sound so sad about it.." yuna spoke
"well to be honest..it was nice going on dates with him and i think he's a great guy but i realized that i only see him as a good and close friends rather than a boyfriend" she chuckled, "i assumed he went to your house afterwards"
"oh yah..he came over but i was already busy"
"busy?" soovin scoffed jokingly, "you're never busy"
"you know..for your information i had a date today"

soovin widened her eyes, becoming serious in shock, "you had a date?!"
"yah..with heeseung. i told you about this already" yuna chuckled, "i didn't expect jake to show up at such a random time since you guys had a date"
"oh no.." soovin muttered, becoming worried
"i should get back to my date soovin"
"oh right! i forgot" soovin nervously laughed, "call me after the date"
"i'll talk to you later" yuna hung up and began thinking
'he called it off..?'

heeseung dropped yuna off at her home and her parents were already fast asleep. she went into her room and began changing out of her clothes immediately.
once she changed to went over to her bed and sat on the edge of her bed. she looked through her purse and grabbed out her phone.
"why did jake call it off..?" yuna mumbled to herself.
she quickly dialed jake's number and it took only a few seconds for him to answer
"hey yuna.." his voice was raspy like he just woke up
"did you just wake up?" yuna chuckled
"i fell asleep doing my homework" jake responded, "i'm going to assume you got home safe?"
"mhm. heeseung just dropped me off" yuna responded, "can i ask you something?" jake just hmmed in response, "soovin called me and said you called off the date but you told me that she got busy..so what happened?"
soovin told her what happened but she wanted to hear it from jake
jake was going to be honest but not completely honest with her
"i thought i liked her but i guess i was wrong. the more and more i spent time with her, i could only see her as a friend rather than someone who i want to date. i think i did like her at first but now, my heart no longer races for her and anything else. this date made me realize how i feel" jake explained to her, "i didn't want to lead her on anymore if she did like me so..yah but we agreed to have no hard feelings and that we can stay as friends"

"oh that's sad to hear. you guys would be cute together but if the feelings aren't compatible then i guess not" yuna replied
"yuna" jake spoke, ignoring what she said, "do you still like me by any chance?"
"do i still like you?" yuna repeated, thinking for a little, "i think i'm over you"
ouch..
jake chuckled bitterly, "10 years huh?"
"don't remind me" she let out a groan of annoyance, "i'm just glad we're still friends. that's what made me get rid of my feelings. as long as we were still friends then i knew i was going to be happy regardless"
"glad you got over them yuyu" jake responded, a small bitter chuckle leaving his lips
yuna laughed, "me too. i think heeseung got you off my mind also so. win win i guess. anyways, i'm going to pass out. i'll see you tomorrow"
"alright goodnight yuna" jake hung up on the call and placed his phone down.
he laid his head on his desk on top of his papers and textbooks.
he wanted to distract himself from the soovin and yuna situation so he tried to just think of his homework solely but he couldn't.
he regrets now realizing his feelings sooner
