for the past week, jake had been begging the two to forgive him but he had no avail as yuna and sunghoon were much more stubborn; especially yuna
soovin was in the middle of it since she understood why yuna and sunghoon were mad but jake also told her the reason why he didn't show up and she understood his reasoning.
this led to soovin being caught in the middle of the friends. jake told her to not tell yuna and sunghoon why he didn't show up which she thought was stupid but she didn't want to get herself involved so she stayed neutral between them.
but sunghoon and yuna were not mad at soovin since she had no part it in and didn't want to take sides so they understood it. soovin also showed up to her birthday so..they didn't hold a grudge against her.
yuna was at her locker again before class began when she heard footsteps. she sighed, knowing what was going to happen already
it became a daily thing for jake to go over to her whenever she was at her locker to basically ask for forgiveness but she always gave him the same answer; no
"is he not tired of hearing the same answer" yuna scoffed to herself
jake walked up to yuna's locker awkwardly. yuna looked to her right and noticed him but turned her attention back towards her locker
jake sighed as he neared her and stopped to the side of her, looking at her side profile hoping for her to give him a chance, "hey yuna.."
"hi" she spoke with a cold tone to her voice, not making any eye contact with him as she grabbed her things out of her locker
it was weird to jake hearing her voice so cold since she barely used that tone with anyone so to hear her use the tone with him was hurting the boy.
"so..uhm..i have a soccer game coming up. i know you probably don't want to come but i just wanted to invite you still" he spoke nervously knowing he had no right to even tell her this since he already knew what her reaction was going to be and what she would say
yuna smiled bitterly as she stopped what she was doing and looked at him, "sure, let me just promise you that i'm going to your soccer game, get your hopes up that i forgave you then just not show up the day of your game and i won't send a text..call.. or anything because that's what friends do huh?"
jake sighed, looking down at the floor, "i guess i deserve that"
yuna scoffed turning her attention to her locker again and grabbing her math workbook, "you think?" she closed her locker door and faced him
he looked up at her, grabbing onto her hand and holding it softly, "look! i can give an answer soon but..can we please make up for now?"

yuna stared at him and she badly wanted to forgive him since she was usually an easy-going girl but she was going to be stubborn this time. she removed her hand from his grip and shook her head, "until you give me that reason, i won't be forgiving you. bye jake"
♡
"hey jake" soovin greeted the boy in his classroom, her holding a stack of folders in his hands
"oh hey soovin" he grinned then raised an eyebrow at the amount of folders she had in her hand, "what's with all the folders?"
"jungwon was supposed to put these in the student council room but he forgot his key at home and you're the only other member that has it. he had to go something so he gave me the folders so i can come find you" soovin explained as she put the folders down on his desk, "sorry, they were killing my arms"
jake chuckled and stood up from his seat, "do you want to come with me to put them away?"
"i would but i have a meeting with one of my teachers in like 5 minutes" soovin spoke, "but.." she bit her lip trying to think of someone else who could help him and luckily when she looked over at the door, she saw yuna enter, looking down at her phone. she wasted no time and yeleld out her name, "yuna!"
yuna shot her head up and looked at the two. she avoided eye contact with jake and looked at soovin, "huh?" jake noticed her avoiding his gaze and he bit his lip, badly wanting to just talk with her
"can you help jake take these to the student council office?"
jake widened his eyes at her question and he hit her arm lightly, "what are you doing?" he whispered and she brushed him off, not looking at him at all
"i know you guys aren't on good terms right now but there's a lot of these folders and i can't do it so..can you help him?" soovin questioned, knowing yuna was too nice to deny it
jake on the other hand thought that she was going to deny it and let him do it by himself
yuna looked at the folders then at jake. she sighed, nodding, "okay" jake was shocked at her response but he wasn't going to question it
"yay!" soovin clapped her hands, "i'll see you two later" she patted jake's shoulder before leaving the classroom afterwards to go meet with her teacher
yuna put her phone in her blazer pocket and walked over to jake. she grabbed half of the folders and before jake could even speak, she began walking to the door and left the classroom. she wanted to avoid the boy as much as possible
jake quickly scrambled up the rest of the folders in his arms before running out of the classroom and catching up with yuna, walking awkwardly beside her; it was weird to him to be so awkward with yuna

yuna's eyes were cold unlike usual and it was only when she was with jake where she was silent and not as bright as usual.
"so..how have you been?" jake tried striking up a conversation but that failed horribly
"fine"
"..how have your classes-"
"can we be in silence?" she asked him with a stern voice and the boy immediately nodded, scared of the girl beside him since he's never seen her like that before; no one's ever seen her like that
the two walked in silence to the council room. jake wanted to talk to her but at the same time he didn't want to make her mad anymore than she already was
they reached the room and yuna stood beside the door while jake took out the key from his pocket. he put the key in the slot before sliding the door open.
the two walked into the room and placed the folders on the front desk, "is that all?"
"yah-"
"i'll be going then" yuna excused herself from the boy and left the classroom immediately not wanting to see him anymore
it was killing jake that he couldn't talk to yuna. they had been best friends for so long and now this is what is making yuna break apart from him
he couldn't blame her though. she had every right to be mad because if he was in her shoes, he would be mad also
'well maybe if you just gave her the reason then..' his mind told him and jake hit his head, "shut up.." he muttered to himself
jake quickly went outside to attempt and try to talk to yuna but stopped when he saw another boy approach yuna from who knows where
'why does he have to show up at every moment now?!' jake yelled in his mind, annoyed at the boy who was his friend
"yuna!" a boy exclaimed from behind her.
yuna jumped in shock and turned around to see heeseung standing behind her. she placed her hand on her chest, calming her heart that was racing for two reasons, "that scared me. oh my god"
"sorry didn't mean too" heeseung chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck
"its okay" yuna smiled as her heart calmed down a little bit but continued to race even more now that heeseung was in front of her, "uh..were you looking for me?"
"actually i was walking back to my class when i saw you so i thought i'd come and..say hi" he reasoned with her, "uh..want me to walk you back to class?...if that's where you're going?
yuna nodded, a small grin on her face"sure"
'ill try another time i guess..' jake sighed as he went back into the student council room so he could organize a bit; this was mostly just an excuse to not walk the same way as heeseung and yuna
heeseung began walking yuna to her class and the two were in silence until he asked her a question, "..are you okay? you seem to be a little distant with jake lately"
"just..something going on" she muttered, not really in the mood to talk about it or even think about it
heeseung nodded, not bothering her any further about it and it was silent again. yuna looked at him, kinda shocked, "..you're not going to bother me about it?"
"why would i?" he responded, looking at her, "if you don't feel comfortable talking about it then i won't pester you to tell me. whenever you want to talk to me, i'll be here to listen or if you don't want too tell me then i won't bother"
yuna internally panicked and stared at him in shock
'how is one guy so perfect?' yuna thought, her mind being flooded with thoughts
heeseung noticed her expression and chuckled, patting her head, "can you stop being so cute?"
she snapped out of her trance and scoffed at the taller boy, "when you stop being so bold and saying those things to me"
"why would i stop when its true?" he continued to tease her just to see her reaction
yuna immediately placed her hair over her ears that were definitely turning red because of him
heeseung laughed and moved her hair away from her ears so her red ears would show, "don't hide it. it's cute that you're blushing because of me"
"you saying that is going to make me blush even more!" she complained, covering her ears again with her hands this time while heeseung laughed again, seeing how cute she was
the two walked back to yuna's class, heeseung dropping her off basically. the boy bid bye to her and walked away.
yuna walked into her classroom and over to her desk. she looked on top and saw an aloe vera bottle drink with a note beside it
she picked up the note and read it, "sorry" and at the end of the note was a sad face
she looked up and saw jake looking at her but the moment she made eye contact with him, he looked away, nervous of her reaction
jake didn't hear anything and in a few seconds yuna was standing beside his desk. she placed both the note and bottle on his desk. jake looked up at her and she looked at him, "this won't make me forgive you"
yuna went backed to her seat and jake sighed. he looked over at the drink and bit his lip, "if it was heeseung she would've accepted it.."
'no shit you idiot' his thoughts told him
jake's phone buzzed and the boy quickly took it out of his pocket to see the notification.
'200,000 won has been added to your balance'
"just a few more.."

The Silver Mana - Book 1: Initiate
I used to be a healthy, young guy with a normal life - I had a career planned in professional soccer, a girlfriend, lots of hobbies, and loads of fun. Until the accident. Which changed my life. A few years later I had adjusted to my new reality, adjusted to being in a wheelchair, adjusted to having someone take care of me 24/7. And then the world changed. Old people and kids did not make it. And neither was I supposed to make it. But never count me out. If anything, I am tenacious. This new world was different. People could do magic. And there were monsters. And what about me? I had mana as well, silver mana. Which no one else seemed to have. The only problem was, I did not know what to do with it. Until I really needed to. Author's note: This is the rewrite of Silver Mana. The first bunch of chapters (until I will have caught up to level 2 of the dungeon) should be quite familiar to people that have read the original. There are some changes in content, but the story follows the original fairly closely for at least the first 150-200 pages. Most of the changes are in the writing, and some of the details of how things work. A few of the side characters get a bit more attention too. Some general comments to avoid disappointment: 1. The MC likes to swear. If you object to reading the word "fuck" at least once and usually multiple times each chapter don't read the book. "Fuck" is such a great, allencompassing word... fuck that; what the fuck?; fuck me! Fuck! one word, expressing so many nuances. And, frankly, the people I know that use fuck as a swear word.. they often use it a lot. 2. If you are looking for immediate progression, rapid advancement of the story, etc.... read another book. This one takes a bit. 3. I am NOT Pirateaba (who is writing The Wandering Inn) or anyone close to that level of productivity. If you expect to read 10k words every 3 days, or even just once a week... sorry. I've got a busy life. This is for fun, I have no patreon, paypal, anything, so I write when it is fun and however much is fun. Not more. And sometimes that turns out to be a decent amount, sometimes nothing. I have another book (Marrow) so that complicated things - basically I switch between the two whenever the muse strikes me.

Trouble!
In a distant world ruled by Magic, Gods, Demons, Beasts and Man, war has ravaged the land and made its people suffer. The Archonian Council comprised of the leaders of the various races decided that enough was enough and the war had to stop or at the very least, continue elsewhere. In the middle of another aimless debate, Rafflesia, Chief Warlock of the Beast Race proposed this idea: “Why don't we create another world? Let's let the idiots go all out and settle this endless war there?†And because of that unprecedented notion, the Gods, Demons, Beast Race and Man worked together to create the (planet) world Arthunium, a magical world that could withstand the full brunt of the war. A thousand years after the Golden Age War, our story begins… (Warning: This novel offers depictions of: – Gore – Torture – Mature and Suggestive Themes The novel is therefore classified by most standards of morality as something no one should read. Well, maybe if you're of legal age in your territory. Reader discretion is advised.)

Kingdom of Ice

Everyone in the party was presumed dead. Until now. When two of the hunters from that same expedition find their way back to Tridention after all these years, Watson, a retired commandant for one of Tridention's thirty-five hunting parties, agrees to help those hunters form a ragtag party of their own, against their leadership's wishes, and travel all the way back to the same Northwest Passages to recover the rest of the hunting expedition.
