"hey guys i gotta go" jake spoke to sunghoon and yuna in the classroom afterschool
sunghoon was iffy about this because the moment jake leaves, he doesn't return, "yuna's party is in like 5 hours. are you going to make it?"
jake bit his lip and looked over at yuna who was anticipating his answer, "yes! i'll make it. i promise. i won't disappoint you"
yuna sighed, "if you can't..then just send a message or a call so we don't get worried about you"
"..you don't trust me to be there do you?" jake asked yuna, a bit disappointed but honestly he understood where she was coming from
the girl immediately felt bad, taking back what she said, "i-i didn't mean it like that jake..i'm sorry"
"it's okay..i don't blame you. i would be upset too if you guys didn't show up to my things" jake rubbed the back of his neck, "b-but! i promise i'll make it!"
yuna chuckled and nodded, "okay get going wherever you need to go"
jay nodded as he grabbed his things, dashing out of the classroom
"he'll be there yuyu don't worry" sunghoon reassured her and the girl just smiled, "oh! also, why were you looking for heeseung earlier?"
"oh right!" she turned to him, a smile on her face, "ahn said that since my grades have been improving thanks to heeseung that i could either transfer to a more advanced class this year for math or physics or whatever math class i take in 3rd year"
"really?? that's great yuna!" sunghoon congratulated her, "hopefully it's not too hard for you. do you plan on transferring this year?"
"i'm not sure" she responded, "i'm going to think about it but i'm happy i was able to improve in those subjects"
"okay imma be honest" sunghoon spoke, "i may or may not..have saw you hugging heeseung?"
yuna's smile never faded and she shrugged, "you're not mad?" she shook her head, "oh god bless" yuna watched the boy as he took out a piece of paper that had a bunch of words written on it. then he crumbled up the paper, tossing it in the trashcan, "guess no apology is needed" yuna just chuckled in response, "so..why'd you hug him a second time"
her ears turned red at the thought and sunghoon began teasing her, "what'd you say? lover girl.." she smacked his arm
"i..told him i'd go on a date with him"
sunghoon looked at her in shock for a second before letting out an inaudible scream since the two were still in class even at the end of day, "you did?! oh my god! yuyu!!" he teased her even more while she just kept laughing at him, "you guys will be so cute together"
'but jake-'
'shut up thoughts this about yuna and heeseung' sunghoon fought with his own thoughts
"i'm nervous for it but i'll get through my birthday first before i think about the date" yuna spoke, "oh! and don't tell jake yet. i'll tell him on my own but lately he seems to be busy so i don't want to bother him or anything" sunghoon nodded
sunghoon nodded before his phone buzzed and he grabbed his phone off the table, checking the message. he then stood up, "speaking of your birthday. i need to go help your parents set it up, so you can just go home and sleep since i think you're running on like two hours of sleep"

yuna nodded and stood up, grabbing her bag as well, "just text me when i can come"
sunghoon looked at her weirdly after her sentence and yuna just rolled her eyes, "can you not?" he chuckled and patted her head, "see you in a few hours"
♡
yuna's phone rung loudly through her room.
the girl groaned as she reached out for her phone on her bedside table and pressed answer even if she didn't see the id caller, "hello?" she spoke in a raspy voice, her eyes closing as she wanted to continue to sleep
"yuna!" sunghoon shouted over the phone
yuna groaned in annoyance, "it's too early for you too be yelling at me"
"girl- it's literally 6 pm" sunghoon responded, "anyways your party is ready..so you can either come by yourself or i can come and get you"
"i can go, it's okay" yuna responded
"yah no. i know you're going to fall back asleep the moment i hang up" sunghoon spoke but there was no response, "yuna!"
"yah! yah! I'm already up!" yuna spoke as she sat up in her bed, running a hand through her hair, "i'll go by myself it's okay"
"great! make sure you act surprise when you get here" sunghoon advised her and yuna just agreed, "cool! see you here soon. text me when you're near"
yuna said bye to the boy and hung up.
yuna lazily got herself up from her bed and began getting ready for her party. she first went into her bathroom so she can take a shower really quick which took about 20 minutes only.
she got out with a towel wrapped around her body and went back into her bedroom. she walked over to her closet and looked at her clothes. she didn't have something 'nice' to wear
yuna sighed and looked over at the corner of her room where a pile of clothes were thrown. she then noticed a bag by it, "oh..when i went shopping with soovin"
she walked over to her bag and grabbed it. she went over to her bed and placed it down, going through the clothes, "hmm..this will work i guess"
she removed the towel from her body and got dressed into the clothes that both her and soovin had picked out when they went shopping.
she put on her clothes and walked over to the mirror, staring at it, "it looked cuter on soovin.." she pouted, "maybe it'll look better with the thigh high boots.."
yuna currently wore a brownish plaid skirt with a black long sleeved turtle neck top. on top of the turtleneck was a white loose fit blouse that was tucked into her skirt.
she walked back into her bathroom so she could blow dry and brush out her orange hair, "you know..my orange hair is probably the reason why this looks bad..oh well"
the girl finished drying her hair and brushed it out and walked back into her room. she walked over to her closet again, grabbing her black thigh high boots along with a black beret. she put on her black thigh high boots and put the beret on the top of her head. the boots weren't as tall as the one she wore to sunoo's art contest but they did add like an extra centimeter to her height making her 5'8

she went back to the mirror and nodded, "better"
she grabbed her cross-body purse and shoved her wallet in it. she grabbed her phone, texting sunghoon that she'll be there soon
yuna grabbed her airpods so she could listen to music as she walked and left her room. she walked to the entrance, leaving her house
♡
yuna reached niki's cafe and she quickly put her airpods away and put her phone in her purse. she walked up to the entrance, opening the door only to be met with an explosion of confetti from party poppers.
"happy birthday yuna!" multiple people exclaimed in unison
she looked around and saw many party decorations of many colors. it looked like a lot and extra but honestly yuna enjoyed it
'wow..sunghoon went all out..' she admired them and then yuna looked to her right and left and saw that it was sunoo and jungwon who surprised her with the confetti.
she smiled at them then looked to the front and saw her parents, sunghoon and his friend group along with her track team members and a few of her other friends from school as well
yuna smiled as she walked towards sunghoon, "wow! i'm so surprised!"
"shut up" he rolled his eyes as he placed a blue sash that said 'happy birthday!' on it over her and resting it on her shoulder, "you don't deserve it but.."
yuna's mother smacked his arm harshly, "don't say that to my daughter!"
"mom!!" sunghoon whined, holding his arm, looking at yuna's mom
soovin came out from behind sunghoon and wrapped her arm around yuna, "happy birthday girl!"
"thanks soovin" yuna just chuckled, wrapping her arm around her as well. she looked around and noticed jake was not there with them. she didn't think too much about it and thought maybe he would show up later
'he promised..' she thought and shook her head as she walked over to her track members, talking to them as they congratulated her
"hey sunghoon, how'd you rent out where niki works? i thought the owner didn't allowed this place to be rented out?" jungwon questioned, curious
"he didn't" niki spoke, glaring at sunghoon as he crossed his arms, "its coming out of my paycheck!"
the boys laughed and sunghoon patted his back, "i'll pay you back don't worry"
"whatever. it's for yuna's birthday so i won't be too mad i guess" niki responded, a grin showing up on his face afterwards
yuna spent about 30 minutes walking over to different groups of her friends, talking to them and just greeting them
as she was doing this, she kept looking at the door in hopes of seeing jake come by but he never did.
yuna bit her lip as she excused herself from her parents and walked over to sunghoon, "i'm going to step outside for a bit"
the boy nodded as yuna walked out of the cafe and took out her phone. she bit her lip as she dialed jake's number and placed it to his ear, "where are you..?" she muttered and hoped for him to pick up but he never did
she looked down at her phone after the missed call and sighed. she went onto the gps app that the three friends had and looked at jake's location. she raised an eyebrow at his location and then looked back inside at the cafe, "it's just a 10 minute walk from here.."
she proceeded to text sunghoon
the girl then began walking way from the cafe to go find jake at wherever his location was
yuna walked for about 10 minutes and her location got closer to jake's
"a korean barbecue place?" yuna muttered to herself and she reached the place that said jake's location was at.
she looked through the walls that were all glass and saw the boy sitting there with his student council friends—minus jungwon—laughing with them.
yuna stood there for a few seconds trying to process that jake really just ditched her birthday for his other friends
she looked down at her phone, dialing his number. she held up the phone to her ear and kept looking inside to see his reaction
jake saw his phone vibrate and then the caller ID. he bit his lip before he picked up his phone, answering it, "hey yuna-"
"where are you?" she spoke coldly, mad and angry but over the phone it was hard for jake to tell
"i promise i'll be there soon-"
"jake" she cut him off, "look outside"
jake turned in his chair as he saw the orange haired girl standing outside
jake sighed as he hung up on her before excusing himself from who he was with and walked out of the place
he walked towards yuna who was obviously mad with her arms crossed at him, "this will be fun" she chuckled bitterly as he neared her
jake stood in front of her, hands in his pockets, "look yuna i'm sorry"
"you ditched me on my birthday" she began, "no call, no text, didn't tell any of your friends, you were just silent..i didn't expect to find you here...with your other friends"
"this wasn't how it-"
yuna stepped forward, placing herself just a few centimeters away from him. she looked up at him while he slightly looked down at her, "i don't know why i expected so much from you..you always do what you're good at..ditching your friends on their important days "
she scoffed before turning away so she can walk away, not wanting to see jake anymore
"yuna please let me ex-" he grabbed onto her wrist only for her to quickly pull it away
"i'm done with it jake" she spoke and turned around to face him again. her voice was calm but her tone was full of anger, "you always leave, you never make time for us when we do it all the time and it's just..it's just frustrating"
"you know i have a lot of things to do yuna. i try my best to get out out of it for you guys" he tried reasoning it
"ah yes! going to korean barbecue place with your other friends rather than spending time at your best friend's birthday after you promised me you'd come!" she laughed bitterly but jake knew it was fake, "my only birthday wish was for you too actually come but of course you didn't. good to know you didn't care"
she turned around once more before walking away and this time jake didn't stop her, knowing she needed time to cool off
jake stood there in distress as he walked the girl walk further and further away
the door to the korean barbecue place open, "yah jake! get back to work"
the boy sighed, running a hand through his hair, "sorry yuna..hope you'll forgive me soon.."

8 152I Need Time
An action, adventure, mystery and strategy story about a strong male lead. Author note: First time author, good amount of buffer chapters (over 50k words) so I will not drop this book anytime soon. This book will mostly be from the perspective of the MC. On average +5k words will be published per week. I have not chosen some of the genres and tags as I do not wish to give away parts of the story. I added the content warning tags as there will come a time for profanities, gore and maybe "traumatising" content. Though, in my opinion the content will be mild if not light. *****SPOILER*****SPOILER***** Synopsis: A college ICT student transmigrates to another world filled with magic and learns magic from a dragon. MC uses modern knowledge to develop magitech technology. MC starts his adventure using the technology he develops! Saving princesses, fighting hidden criminal organizations, learning how horribly medieval peasants live, reasoning with uneducated narrow minded people, investigating the nature of magic and searching for gods... Story review: A fantasy/sci-fi story filled with some common cliches yet presents somewhat original ideas and a few unexpected twists & turns here and there. This novel also explores a few of the commonly ignored topics concerning medieval fantasy like hygiene, culture, education(ignorance, narrow mindedness) and the fact that everybody is short because magical crops cost too much. Modern knowledge in such a setting can often times revolutionize the world if the protagonist is not an idiot or weak willed or thinks something stupid like he should not intervene in a society that systematically practices unequality of opportunity, slavery and other nasty things, of course sometimes the protagonist can be just unlucky by being enslaved, etc. In our case we are granted a protagonist who had an initial stroke of luck, learning magic from a dragon instead of struggling for years without it or randomly dieing. After that his luck goes down the drain. It is arguable whether the princess is a good stroke of luck or not, I digress. Anyway the challenges the protagonist must face will grow and no more luck or helping hands. After gaining enough power and security the protagonist will change the world for the better or at least give it a stronge push onto the right track. He will make a lot of lives better but things are never so simple and there is much more to this world than meets the eye... Missing genres & tags: Fantasy, Sci-fi, Magic. *****SPOILER*****SPOILER*****

What to expect: - cold steel weapons with magic- colonial-esque era- elements of strategy (including logistics)- powerful mages that can't block a crossbow bolt. Except for some earth mages.- realistic depictions of violence. I don't care to focus on it. - other races introduced eventually, if they fit. - Australian english, except when I slip. Not much slang though, I reckon.
