"sunghoon" soovin called out to the boy as she walked over to the boy who was at his desk, doing his homework, "wow, you're actually doing homework i'm so proud of you"
"oh no. this is late homework, i need to get half credit at least" he replied, not looking up at her and she rolled her eyes, sitting in front of him
"i don't know what to get yuna for her birthday" she sighed, "what should i get her?"
sunghoon looked up at soovin, "yuna would appreciate anything to be honest. she doesn't ask for much or anything"
"but i have to get her something or i feel bad" she complained, "does she like any idol groups. maybe i could get her an album"
"she likes BAP and b1a4" he answered, going back to answering the last few questions on the homework
"ugh" she threw her head back, resting it all the wall behind her, "those groups are hard to get albums for since b1a4 hasn't released anything new and BAP is already disbanded"
"she has all their albums to be honest. she just needs a signed BAP album either all members or just one"
"oo really??" soovin looked back at him and he nodded, "time to go search for one"
she took out her phone and began searching the internet hoping to find someone selling a signed album for a good price
"you know they're all going to be expensive especially if it's with the photo card" sunghoon told her as he put his pencil down, finishing his homework that was already late
she groaned in annoyance, continuing to scroll through her phone, "most of these are like 100 dollars. come on im broke!"
sunghoon chuckled as he took out his phone as well and began searching through the internet to help her find a good seller
after a few minutes, sunghoon easily found one, "oh" he showed her his phone, "it's 50 dollars and its with the photo card and postcard"
"great! send me the link" sunghoon nodded, copying and pasting the link sending it to her number, "thank you!"
sunghoon nodded, putting his phone down and leaning back in his chair
"hey can i ask you something?" soovin spoke, her voice becoming more serious as she put her phone back in her blazer pocket
sunghoon gestured for her to go on, "did jake ever like yuna?"
'what is it with this girl and people liking each other oh my god' sunghoon thought

"i thought he did" he shrugged, "but he always just said he never saw as more than a friend. why?"
"i don't know he seems very attached to yuna" she spoke, "like..everything just seems to remind him of her"
"are you jealous about it?"
"that's the thing..i don't know if i'm jealous" she responded, tilting her head, "is that weird?"
"maybe..you don't like him as much as you thought?" she leaned back against the desk, thinking about it
"but i feel like i like him genuinely but im not jealous about him and yuna. isn't it normal for a girl to feel jealous when a guy talks about a another girl?" soovin asked, completely confused
"so..what i'm hearing is..you're not a girl?" he looked at her, gasping sarcastically and putting his hand on his mouth
soovin rolled her eyes, ignoring his question, "maybe im just new to liking someone..we'll see as time goes on"
"before you came, he did everything with yuna so a lot of things remind them of each other" sunghoon tried to reason with her
"i guess"
♡
"hello yuna noona!" sunoo exclaimed as he sat across from her and niki at the cafe niki worked at. currently he was on his break and was helping yuna with her japanese, "and niki-"
"that's the wrong character again!" riki shouted at her, pointing at the paper as he just cut off sunoo's sentence
yuna took in a deep breath, trying her best to not punch the child beside her and she looked at sunoo, "please stop me before i throw him out the window" she looked back attniki, "or worst"
"i'm fif-"
"yah! yah! you're fifteen shut up!" she cut him off, closing her japanese workbook out of anger. she cursed under her breath in japanese, annoyed of the boy
"i understand you, you know!"
"good!" she yelled back, leaning back in her chair
"so.." sunoo ignored the interaction of what just happened and looked at niki, "can i have a chai latte?"
riki sighed and nodded before standing up. he quickly smacked yuna's head and ran back to go make sunoo's drink before yuna could do anything back to him
yuna shook her head looking at sunoo, a smile on her face, "haven't seen you in awhile"
"haven't seen you since the party" sunoo responded, "how are you doing after the party? heeseung told me you got kinda drunk? he was blaming himself a lot"

"i'm doing good well..i had a headache and almost got mudered by my parents and jake..but other than that it was fine" she explained, "i told heeseung to not worry about it"
"you know..i think he likes you"
yuna's eyes lit up as she leaned over slightly, "really??"
sunoo nodded with a smile on his face, "everytime he texts you, he's smiling and just by hearing one of us say your name, he gets super excited. it's been awhile since we've seen him get that excited over someone"
"he's so cute" yuna held a hand to her heart, just thinking about the boy as she leaned back in her chair
"do you like him too noona?"
she sighed and had to think, 'do i..do i like heeseung?'
"i'm not sure too be honest. i want to like him, he's nice and really sweet towards me but i don't know if these are feelings that are genuine or if it's just me wanting to get over jake"
"oh i forgot about jake" he chuckled nervously, shaking his head afterwards, "well..isn't he with soovin?"
"i mean.. they've been going on dates but i don't think they've called it official yet"
"does your heart race around jake still?" sunoo asked, curious in her answers
"i mean..no?" she thought about when he cupped her cheeks the other day when she and sunghoon told him that she almost got hit and she didn't feel shy or embarrassed; well she did a little but not like she usually would
"look" sunoo began, "heeseung asked you on a date right?"
she nodded then shook her head and widened her eyes, "how'd you know??"
"heeseung may or may not have told me" yuna shook her head again before gesturing him to continue, "go on the date and if you genuinely feel happy with heeseung, don't think about jake and whatever..then maybe you feelings already passed"
"i just don't want to lead him on if he does like me" yuna spoke, a frown on her face, "he doesn't deserve that"
"he's very understanding so i'm sure if you call it off, he won't be mad" sunoo reassured her, "i know he's eager to hear your answer but of course it's up to you on whether or not you accept it or not"
"ugh your whole friend group is so sweet" yuna smiled at him, "i'm so grateful for you all"
"didn't you just yell at niki like a few minutes ago?"
"i give him the benefit of the doubt since he did save me from getting hit by a car"
"what?!" sunoo shouted, catching the attention of people in the place. he awkwardly looked at everyone, standing up and apologizing while bowing.
he sat back down and he looked at yuna, "you almost got hit by a car??"
"riki, sunghoon, and i were out and when i was on the street to pick up something, a car came and riki pulled me out of the way before i got hit" she explained
"ohhh. well i'm glad you're okay" sunoo sighed in relief, "but i hope everything goes well for you and heeseung in the future"
"me too" she responded, "ohh can i ask you something" he nodded, "..does jake ever miss your things for school?"
'i'm literally so annoying for asking these questions oh my god'
"hmm.." he thought about it, "it's hard for him since me, niki, and jay go to a different school but i have had some art contests that he said he would go too but he never came..hmm niki has also had some dance competitions that he's missed along with jay's basketball games but he usually apologizes. has he missed your things?"
she nodded sadly, "he missed my first track event after i became captain even though he promised he would come. he's also missed some of sunghoon's competitions as well. he's apologized but i don't know i think im just being petty"
"why do you think that?"
"i don't know. it just sounds so childish to get mad at him for it" yuna explained, "i know he means well so i don't want to be mad at him for it"
"i mean if you push back your things for him and sunghoon does the same, it's not fair so i can understand why you'd be upset" sunoo replied, "but im sure he means no harm. you know jake is always busy with soccer, violin, being president and a teacher's pet in almost every class" yuna chuckled, "are you worried about something?"
"i'm just paranoid he won't show up to my birthday" yuna said, "i shouldn't be since i should have faith in him but.."
"yuna don't worry" sunoo kept reassuring her, "jake would never miss your birthday okay? he cares for you a lot"
yuna nodded, having faith in jake then she realized something, "wait..where's your drink?"
sunoo forgot about his drink while he was talking to yuna, "oh..right.." he looked up seeing niki at the counter playing with a pen, "yah! niki!"
"oh..i forgot about you" niki muttered before letting out a sigh, "coming up!"
sunoo rolled his eyes, "not paying that child"
"i heard you!" niki shouted and sunoo just smiled in response
