"you asked her on a date?!" yuna exclaimed in shock at the boy

jake nodded, becoming embarrassed because of it, "i spoke out of nowhere! i don't even know where i got the confidence to say that!"

the two were currently in yuna's room where they were supposed to be doing homework and studying but that went off topic when jake suddenly said he asked soovin on a date.

"what did soovin say?" yuna asked

"she said she would think about it then went into her house" jake complained, resting his head on yuna's shoulder, "why'd i do that?? im so stupid"

yuna chuckled, patting his back, "so i'm going to assume that you like her right?"

"i don't know.." he sighed and looked at yuna, "i mean itreat her the same way i treat you"

"but..? what's the difference?" yuna asked despite knowing she was going to get hurt with the answer

"..my heart races up around soovin" ouch, "..i stutter in front of her..i never do that.." ouch, "she makes me so happy and smile" ouch

"..put a knife in my heart while you're at it.." she muttered under her breath

'okay well you did ask so like' yuna thoughts fought each other

"jake i think you already know your answer on whether or not you like her" yuna spoke, hating the fact that it was happening but she had to accept it

"i do?"

she nodded, "trust me you do"

"yuna you like someone right?"

she slowly nodded again, "everything soovin does to you..he does to me" she chuckled sadly, "but he'll never see me the same way"

"have you confessed to him?" he asked again, becoming curious

she shook her head, "i can promise you he doesn't feel the same-wait! stop switching the topic!" he chuckled as she noticed what he was doing, "you like soovin jake"

"..i think i do" he smiled, "i like soovin"

yuna felt her heart breaking and wanted tears to fall but none did because she had to stay strong and support jake who obviously liked soovin

"thanks yuna" he wrapped his arms around her, hugging, "i don't know what id do without you"

yuna sadly smiled, hugging him back, "of course..if you ever need help with her..you can come to me"

yuna and soovin sat in their classroom, self studying together since yuna was determined to get a good grade on their upcoming test

while soovin was staring at her textbook, writing down notes, yuna looked over at her, observing her side profile

"i can see why he likes you.." she muttered but soovin heard it. she looked up from her textbook giving yuna a grin and asked her 'what?'. yuna realized she was staring and shook her head, "oh nothing!"

soovin just nodded and put her pencil down. she then looked at yuna, asking her a question, "so..how are you and heeseung?"

"what are you talking about?"

"come on!" soovin whined, "heeseung's cute..you're cute. you two would be so cute!"

"you said the same thing about me and sunghoon" she laughed, "and about me and jake"

"okay! but heeseung is heeseung!" she replied, "he's different! he's lee heeseung! you guys look good together. i've seen you guys studying at the library together. you guys look like a couple already"

"you have some sort of obsession with people dating and liking each other, "yuna spoke and soovin rolled her eyes, shaking her head, "but it's going fine between us. he's definitely helping my grades up and he's fun to be around"

"you're going to his party right?"

yuna nodded, "are you going?"

soovin shook her head, "i'm not a party person but also i'm not close with him so he wasn't going to invite me but i don't care about that" soovin quickly went back on topic, "speaking of that! i can help you get ready for the party"

"really?"

soovin nodded, "i'll make sure you look extra pretty for heeseung!"

"there's nothing between us soovin"

"yet" she pointed at yuna, "i'll make sure something happens"

yuna chuckled and then she remembered something that jake told her. she took in a deep breath and asked soovin, "..did jake ask you out the other day?"

soovin froze and looked at the girl, biting her lip and nodding, "b-but..i'm probably going to decline it"

"why? you guys seem to really like each other" yuna encouraged her even though she hated it

"because..well..you like him and it's wrong to go on a date with my friend's crush" soovin explained

yuna sighed, knowing this would be soovin's response, "you shouldn't do that because i do not like jake"

"come on yuna" soovin complained, shaking her arm, "i know you like jake, it's so obvious. he might even like you too!"

"soovin.." yuna started, trying to convince soovin and even herself that she did not like jake, "i've known jake since we were young. while i did have feelings for him at first when we were younger, i got over it because it's obvious he was never going to like me back so no, i don't like him anymore. i'm glad being friends with him"

"really? are you sure?" soovin spoke, a light in her eyes lighting up and yuna nodded, "so..you wouldn't mind if..i went on a date with him?"

yuna froze never thinking those words would leave her mouth, "you don't need my permission soovin. you can go on a date with him of course. i'm sure he'll be happy with that. it's not my place to make decisions for you two" yuna patted her shoulder

"i just wanted to make sure. i didn't want to go on a date with him if you still liked him" soovin explained

"no no. don't worry about it. no feelings at all" yuna awkwardly laughed

"okay! thanks yuna!" soovin hugged yuna tightly before standing up from her seat and dashing out of the classroom

"no problem.." yuna sighed and began playing with the star bracelet on her wrist, "that was the right thing to do..i can't tell them date or not to date..as long as they are happy then i'll be happy"

a tear fell down her cheek and hit her notebook paper, "..as long as he's happy.."

"hey yuna" sunghoon walked over to the girl who was at the entrance of the school waiting for her three friends to show up so they could hang out afterwards, "where's jake and soovin?"

"i texted jake right now..he should be here with soovin soon" yuna replied, putting her phone in her pocket

"hey before they get here, can i ask you something?" sunghoon asked and yuna nodded, "are..you really okay with them dating?"

sunghoon already knew about jake asking soovin on a date and yuna encouraging both of them to go on the date since yuna told him. sunghoon protested at her for it but he promised that she would let yuna do whatever she had to do to get over jake

"so..soovin said yes already" yuna chuckled sadly, "i'm sure jake was ecstatic"

"yuna.."

yuna was cut off when they heard footsteps. sunghoon and yuna looked to the front and saw soovin and jake laughing as they walked towards the two

"hey guys" jake greeted, a sweet smile on his face; the same one yuna fell for years ago

"hello" sunghoon and yuna smiled, waving

"so where are we going?" soovin asked, clapping her hands together

"cafe?" sunghoon suggested and they all agreed, nodding

soovin and jake walked ahead of yuna and sunghoon.

yuna and sunghoon watched as the two walked further away and sunghoon looked over at yuna, "as long as they're happy then...it' okay"
